keep up the awesome work on this series!!! It's a nice change of pace seeing true maplestory ironman game play F2! Running ironman on the old school servers is really fun and super rewarding when you get drops that are normally nothing but mean the world to you. I recommended everyone give the oldschool ironman playstyle at one point in their maple life hehe
100% Agree. It's super neat that these glove scrolls that are normally dirt cheap to most players happen to be the most valuable and elusive thing I can obtain LOL. I get so happy when I see a yellow scroll
This series can not come fast enough, its been years since I have played and hacked Maplestory but this takes me back to the days where I didnt know what to put my points into and had to watch Ayumilove guides. Kudos for the nostalgia bomb
Ariant quest line is my favorite one in old school maple. I’ve done it so many times, and love how efficiently you can “stack” quests and etc collection to complete several quests in rapid succession.
I haven't seen a series like this in a while, but I'm hooked. A bit ago, you wondered why Maces seemed better than other weapons. Axes / Maces have a larger damage range than Swords, but swords are much more stable DPS. Generally, if you weren't an Ironman, maces and axes are much cheaper to scroll. Also, focus 2h hard early on, the range is worth more than any def a shield gives.

Thank you! I have considered streaming, but I don't think I'd do a very good job honestly. I spend a lot of time tabbed out of the game to research possible content and I don't have a good environment for it. I don't have a quiet room to stream in. I'm fortunate enough to get breaks to commentate during my play but that's about it. Longer hours uninterrupted aren't an option

Ayo i'm back to comment about another semi obscure weapon you could consider going for. The Diao Chan Sword. A level 48 one handed sword that randomly drops from level 30 cloud foxes over at mushroom shrine and from my memory it's one of the best swords under level 50! Can have 1-3 Dex too! The only reason I even know about this weapon is cause it was used in a now outdated leeching strategy on a PS I used to play on. EDIT:There's also the Japanese Map, a level 50 two handed sword with 1-4 DEX which drops from Leprechauns over in NLC. Leprechauns are also a fantastic source of mesos so there's some other incentive there I guess.
Such a fun challenge. The accuracy thing was always tough. That being said I wish they didn’t change it. (Along with 500 other things they changed about the game.)
The sheet I'm using is custom made. I update it manually for each accuracy boost but I honestly might just make it a real calculator some day and post it publicly for you guys. For rough ideas of which mobs you can fight, I originally used a calculator hosted on github in a MapleLegends post. Believe the host is mrsoupman. It was a calculator based on the original from Screaming Statue.
I see, how is the population and like, is there a lot of leeching or hp washing...? can you actually enjoy long term gameplay and engame without consuming your life away T-T?@@tujou
End game is possible without a ton of HP wash, but you'll have to get really high level for most classes and even then there will be some washing from what I know. But im seriously no expert on that stuff! Leeching is very prevalent. Most players on this server have a bishop of their own. 1000 concurrent players typically. It's one of, if not the highest, played servers. Some of those numbers are player alts though for buffs.@@joneyor6595
@@tujou BTW idk if it violates your ironman rules but you can use an AP reset from the casshop to put 1 of your 5 int attribute towards str for 1 extra str lol You may have enough NX from one of the nx drops youve got from monsters to purchase one
I think it's mostly end game. Low lvl training spots aren't heavily contested but I think that's because most of the low level pop is running party quests. It's very new player friendly though.

this video is decent but i don't know if you're prepared for the grind ahead. i expect this to fail from you getting bored. lvl 30 on 2x exp and you're already saying you're tired of certain levelling zones. you're playing maplestory. you're lucky if you switch maps in less than 100 hours
Secretly I'm just weaponizing attention span as a plot forwarding device. Very fair point though. I'm prepared for this challenge to take a loooong time :)
You not picking the manual picking fighter and always chosing unecessary difficutlies beyond the initial challenge makes me question why you didnt just start this whole series as a hardcore ironman perma beginner one handed while your screen turns off every 30 seconds

7:50 the manji teleporting to Ariant quest is between lvl 20 and 30 so being 31 you missed out on it UNFORTUNATELY

There's glove/shoe accuracy in orbis tower from the scroll seller, only a +1 boost to accuracy without any dex sadly but its better than nothing
The glove scrolls are super good early on but i think the shoe scrolls only give avoidability sadly.

Maybe not in the spirit of the challenge, but would it be faster to level a mage and use it to level and fund your warrior? xD
It wouldn't be faster in the early levels, but that is the most effective approach to settling on a new server. saves a lot of time down the road

You should use some vote nx cash to make your int a 4 as well, so you have the perfect minimal stats :)
