Kinda hate how I tell people that I'm struggling on a later story level, on veteran/impossible and they have the audacity to call me a casual loser because they can do all iron challenges on impossible without breaking a sweat

I'll be honest, I did all but 2 of the impossible iron challenges using max level premium heroes...I only couldn't beat Corruption Valley because I struggle with keeping my attention on watchlings going into the flesh beast cauldron and whether something is near the exit, and the temple one because crossbow is bad only when you need it the most 🥲🥲🥲🥲

I don't get why people yell skill issue, to me that's the POINT of Kingdom Rush. It's a Dark Souls or Cuphead of Tower Defense, and I love it for making me put in satisfying work to stabilize my defenses.

Absolutely agree on this game having the most balanced tower set. I was actually shocked by the end that all 5 of the mage towers had good ways to utilize them, and I even found myself switching between the demon pit and the paladins depending on level layout, which I basically never did in other KR games. The artillery has a bit stronger of a meta, I mostly just used the tricannon, but then again, I might be undervaluing the other two because barely used them lol. Heroes I have a bigger problem with, that being that they are HUGELY unbalanced in my experience. In the 8 levels between unlocking Nyru and unlocking Therien, Nyru is leagues above any competition, especially considering that so many heroes have "deal damage in an area" as their spell (which I have to admit felt kinda uncreative after a while), and Nyru has by far the best version of that. After you've unlocked Therien, I feel she's the first hero to be a bit better than Nyru specifically for the endgame stages, but all that does is replace the mandatory Nyru on your team with a choice between Nyru and Therien. Some heroes feel like they're being countered by other parts of their own design, like how Raelyn's high true damage attack (good for taking out important targets) is made much worse in practice by the fact that she's slow as a pregnant slug so you can't actually micro her to attack important enemies (which is more important than other games because 50% of this game's skill ceiling is microing your heroes to kill spawners early). Another good example is how Grimson hampers his own ability to transform by healing with his execute, and his transformation doesn't even prevent him from getting killed most of the time without micro. Again, this might partly come from not trying some of the heroes enough, so my opinion might change later. Some heroes though, like Grimson and Raelyn, I genuinely tried making work, but they're just underwhelming compared to the competition. I ended up running either Nyru/Anya or Therien/Anya on most levels, because Anya is borderline unkillable and based on my experiences so far, basically the most important hero in the game (again, due to the importance of taking out high prio targets early). Also, what's up with the overabundance of armor in this game? Tower balance overall is good, but I only ever felt like I had to use archer towers when on a level with an insane amount of flying enemy spam (e.g. lvl 13). Anyway, sorry for my slightly off-topic ramble and looking forward to the things you have to say about this game! Toodles♥
It wouldn't be Kingdom Rush if it weren't legitimately trying to kill you at most times, and you don't lose anything but a few minutes' time if you die. Don't feel too bad about it!
I’ve never been good at the kingdom rush games. But even I could notice how well balanced all of the towers were. I’m still grinding levelling up heroes and impossible difficulty, but I know there’s so much room for me to have fun with all of these towers. They all feel like they actually do damage, yet I’m still leaking lives, compared to vengeance, where it doesn’t seem to be doing any damage, but this one tower over here is killing everything at the exit so it doesn’t matter.
The Adobe Flash version of Frontiers is free, which is what I'm assuming RCCH meant, but comparing the price of Origins and Vengeance on mobile to Alliance on steam isn't a fair comparison. RCCH tends to be over-dramatic, which I hope is just for show.
I look forward to your opinion more than others as you take the time to look at things in more detail. I also agree that people can be kind of mean if you’re not an expert at the game.

The methodical approach to the analysis of towers/heroes is the major reason why I value your opinions more seriously than those found in other channels. It's more similar to how scientific experiments should conducted, allowing more valid conclusions to be drawn. I know it's just me (and maybe a few nerds), but what convinces me is not a bunch of ''freaking, busted, OP'' and similar subjective words being thrown at me with exaggerated emotions and loud, weird and annoying background music. I want tests (in situations that would normally appear in real gameplay, not some artificial 1vs1 or weird stuff), and data to back up claims.
The fact that some people still don't know the basics of opinions and that everyone has thier take on everything is laughable and sad at the same time. Especially when they go out of thier way to insult others for them.
Out of everyone I've seen talk about the game you seem the most enthused and happy about the game. If what little time I spent on the discord is any indication, and that was just for the tower design contest, then I can attest that things are indeed not as warm and open-armed as they could be, but at least I got civil answers when I asked for directions to the correct server. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop over how upset the community is sure to be over how much less spammable the new necromancer is.
Flying Enemies really are so hard in this game 😭. For example in The Bleak Vally (level 7) i had a max archer, max arborean emmisary, Nyru and kept using the archer barracks for the Stalkers and it was so micro intensive to beat those things 🧍🏻
Whenever someone say A thing is bad, I tend to just magnetise toward using those thing. And when I realized it's good but people still brush it off anyway, it's a pain.

I enjoyed Alliance a lot, and listening to some of the things the community said made me kinda bummed about the game. I've always been a casual KR player, so it kinda stings when people start telling me that I've been playing the game wrong. It makes you feel stupid, which I guess is some people's goal. I enjoy hearing people's opinions, but not when they're thrown in your face while simultaneously calling you an idiot.
I dont know why these days people are obsessed with jumping the gun, KRA just released yall, calm down. I bought the game day 1 and honestly, I liked it though I agree with the lack of content because of the release model the team took (Base campaign on release, gradually updating it with extra campaign levels and balance patches.) I genuinely dont understand "elitists" in this game, I thought KR was always casual first (easy and simple enough to beat with the difficulty being generous) while being enough of a challenge for those who seek it (Impossible mode, Heroic, Iron challenges). I have my fair share of criticisms of the game (From not being able to select Impossible on a new save despite beating the campaign already to making a lot of towers be rendered risky or a waste of a slot due to the mass of flying enemies by the third area). I like the tower balancing just that the enemies invalidate that balance by favoring towers that can hit air vs towers that can't.
As someone who watches rcch and watched superjumbo when i was younger its kinda sad theyre getting bullied for opinions and also shocked theyre playing kingdom rush (ig their main games fit into the same genre of tower defense but never in my life will i compare bloons to pvz or kingdom rush) still as a casual in tower defense games its honestly just sad seeing people being toxic to new people/casual cuz udually for a community to grow you need a friendly enviroment, Also another thing since youre like the only KR content creator i watched i had a good perception on the community due to your actually nice fanbase this video was eye opening ngl

I know it's probably a lot of work to do, and I understand if you tell me you won't do it, but could you do a tower ranking from worst to best? But I think it would be insanely useful to both new and pro players to know actual stats and numbers. You are one of the bests at making rankings videos.
During my first playthrough I noticed how much smoother the game went when I switched to a specific hero combo. I tried to level up others and sort of give myself a challenge, but I ended up going through the campaign with a new combo that fit my style even better. When I used the first one I could've sworn it was the best, but I guess I was wrong. After watching some videos both in English and my native language I noticed people in the comments recommending towers and heroes that were good for them. I commented once that we shouldn't use towers only because we've seen a subjective tierlist or an opinion. However my comment was useless, people won't spend much time researching, because it is really hard to get out of your comfort zone. Another thing is that even if a tower is op but doesn't fit one's playstyle it is just useless for them. I somehow feel like I've just put myself above others, but I am too a subjective being. Also this comment is nothing more than the things you've just said in the video, but I just wanted to speak off my mind.
OK so, everyone is dumb because they all play on easy or normal. If they played in veteran they would know that it's very hard to beat a level on the first try edit: at least for 3 stars.

I don't know anything regarding community, because I'm not actively a part of it, but I will agree regarding towers. Maybe not about balance, not expert on it, but in just one playthrough I managed to use all towers, and it's the first time when I enjoyed all of them. But bosses were underwhelming, especially the last one

My oppinion on kingdom rush alliance: I liked it, using the different towers were fun, the game is bit on the easier side as I did all levels on first try and blind on veteran. Using 2 heroes gives a more to manage but For someone who has played league of legends and world of Warcraft, its really nothing. Bosses are really easy heck I even beat king denas boss with Dune sentinels only and got 3 stars. The final level of the game has a funny idea with the fight against overseer being instantly boss fight time instead if the usual do 15 waves and boss fight then, just a shame all I need is 2 towers to beat. Overall enjoyment 9/10. Difficulty 4/10. Story 6/10 Final thing. This is not as good as original or frontiers but is better than vengeance and ties with origins For me.
Tbh i dont get the "easier side". I would say origins has the hardest main stages while kr and krf are quite easy. Kra on the other hand has so many small and fast enemies not to mention flying ones that just go trought a random path.

I agree with you, people are rushing with their quality of the content videos. Most people think that some levels are easier but, in later on its serveal them a punishment by adding harder enemies to deal with and others things that will make them even harder. Like for example in corruption valley and some other levels. Most people don’t respect people’s opinions about their favourite/least favourite towers and heroes I missed old superjombo because his opinions are too harsh and critiqued that some towers aren’t worth it but they’re secretly good that helps you to clutch in the game. I know the fact that some towers abilities are not good based on pricey, but it’s good for you to deal with enemies and the bosses *cough* * cough* arcane mage

I've been so disapointed by the kingdom rush community since the release of KR5, I guess the game is somehow too balanced for this community ? Every tower and heroes have their strenghs and their weeknesses, so no matter which one you like or don't like, there will always be someone to insult you and say you're playing the game wrong, why not just letting people enjoy the game and share their opinion ?

I'd say yes, the game is more difficult and fixed the horrible waves vengeance had, the two heroes also noticiably increased the amount of micro you have to do since the map is now separated in two in most stages

@@Binzob so you must be talking about steam, as KR is free on mobile. 1st KRA is not tripple the price, its 20€ and KR is 10€, KRF is also 10€. But lets compare the graphics, animations and artstyle. KRA is just ahead by far. And we will get alot of free updates, most likely similar to KRV, which had the most free updates out of all the games with 2 premium DLCs. KRA is going to most likely be similar. KR has 12 post game stages, KRF only has 7 and KRO has as well only 7. KRV has 15. You can also just take the mobile version as you get lower starting price and still get fre updates, than its even more valuable. Sure no premium towers and heroes but you do get alot for the money. Ofc this is my opinion that im basing on KRV updates and i could be completly wrong at the end if we get little post game stages. But thats unlikely.

I don't consider it free though, it's been paid for in the purchase price of the game. They can add additional campaigns as paid DLC but first they need to add post game stages. For the price and compared to the rest of the series, I'd like to see 10+ post game stages. As for paid DLC, the KRV DLC is $7 for 5 stages. A reduced price that seemed to be $8 USD so ~$13 for me on release. And no surprise everyone at the time thought it wasn't good value. Other tower defence games are just so much better value for money. BTD6 is $18 (50% off at current so even cheaper), I have put over 300 hours into it on steam alone, probably a similar amount on mobile. 70 hours into BTD5 which is $12 (50% off at current). 70 hours into defenders quest $18 (80% off at current). 10 hours into Emberward this past week which is more than I've played KRA despite Emberward being early access and KRA not (they released on the same day). Oh and it's also $15 so half the price of KRA. Of course I will be playing KRA more, probably try to 100% it at some point, but I doubt I'll get above 50 hours on it even once all the expected content is added. Which I think would be good value for the price, it's just not in it's current stage.
oh boy, this is going to be a long one, but necessary: 1. You really are not expected to beat a level at a first try, it is not normal, especially if the gameplay is built within the concept of not be able to build all towrs from the base form, also especially when comes new spawns of enemies, spawns which were not shown before then, and that is fine, there is no problem in the game to play a level, see that the strat was shit and then retry it with a new strat, people are just being toxic with those commentaries 2. There is really no correct way of playing, and thats why there are diferent towers for diferent uses and strategies, thi really is what Vengeance should have been, Im serious when I say: EVERY TOWER IS USABLE, every single one of them can be used to create diferent satrategies and them all can work, this is really perfect for the gameplay, tecnically speaking this seems to be the most balanced KIngdom Rush game, at least for the towers, not heroes (most of them seems shit to me). 3. Althought I said in the number 2 that the game seems balanced at the towers, that cannot be said about the enemies, seriously, this is easier than Vengeance, I played the first biome in Normal difficult, and it felt alright for a first biome, like it is a tutorial, but who was expecting a easy tutorial, heck we are at the fifth tower game, this should have not been too easy, in fact I actually changed to Veteran after the boss, and then the second biome felt easier, really the bosses and areas in general are the easiest in the franchise, i actually defeated Denas without knowing that Vez'Nam could use sorceries during battle. 4. The game needs desperatly updates the lack of extra levels is boring because there is no extra challenge after the final boss, besides iron mode for the levels. As it is now, the game is really overpriced and thee argument "they are gonig to update" is the same argument I've heard for MANY other games, most of them died during that period, I know that this won't happen since it is a offline game, an no, the Vengeance updates aren't the same thing, because at that point Vengeance felt as a finished game, it was done, then suddenly, WHOA! surprise update and content, YAY, as for Alliance, the game seems like it is not finished yet. In resume, the game is for now: overpriced and easy, but at the same time it was fun to me, the game it is not bad, at least, thats my opinion.
I 100% agree! The game released in FULL, it DIDN'T release early access, it DESERVES to be critiqued for charging 20 bucks relative to what content youre getting, ESPECIALLY when games like btd6 and infinitode 2 exist.

Superjombombos youtube comments section is actually decent. They disagree sometimes, but they're mostly respectful. SJB just likes to put in that disclaimer. But it's not even entirely his opinion. He uses math to determine efficiency, and the numbers do seem to line up with what I've seen in the game. Though I think arborrean emissary is better than most people say it is. You can't calculate that tower based on its solo performance. But I could be wrong. I still play mostly on normal, so my opinion isn't worth much. Like, your comment on soloing all the flying units with just heroes and reinforcements seems impossible to me 😅. There are so many.

I ended up running either Nyru/Anya or Therien/Anya on most levels, because Anya is borderline unkillable and based on my experiences so far, basically the most important hero in the game (again, due to the importance of taking out high prio targets early).
Also, what's up with the overabundance of armor in this game? Tower balance overall is good, but I only ever felt like I had to use archer towers when on a level with an insane amount of flying enemy spam (e.g. lvl 13).

I’ve never been good at the kingdom rush games. But even I could notice how well balanced all of the towers were. I’m still grinding levelling up heroes and impossible difficulty, but I know there’s so much room for me to have fun with all of these towers. They all feel like they actually do damage, yet I’m still leaking lives, compared to vengeance, where it doesn’t seem to be doing any damage, but this one tower over here is killing everything at the exit so it doesn’t matter.
Well, I felt that Alliance towers have well-defined weaknesses and strengths, and enable good strategies
The Adobe Flash version of Frontiers is free, which is what I'm assuming RCCH meant, but comparing the price of Origins and Vengeance on mobile to Alliance on steam isn't a fair comparison. RCCH tends to be over-dramatic, which I hope is just for show.

The methodical approach to the analysis of towers/heroes is the major reason why I value your opinions more seriously than those found in other channels. It's more similar to how scientific experiments should conducted, allowing more valid conclusions to be drawn.
I know it's just me (and maybe a few nerds), but what convinces me is not a bunch of ''freaking, busted, OP'' and similar subjective words being thrown at me with exaggerated emotions and loud, weird and annoying background music. I want tests (in situations that would normally appear in real gameplay, not some artificial 1vs1 or weird stuff), and data to back up claims.

If what little time I spent on the discord is any indication, and that was just for the tower design contest, then I can attest that things are indeed not as warm and open-armed as they could be, but at least I got civil answers when I asked for directions to the correct server.

Flying Enemies really are so hard in this game 😭. For example in The Bleak Vally (level 7) i had a max archer, max arborean emmisary, Nyru and kept using the archer barracks for the Stalkers and it was so micro intensive to beat those things 🧍🏻
Whenever someone say A thing is bad, I tend to just magnetise toward using those thing.
And when I realized it's good but people still brush it off anyway, it's a pain.

I enjoyed Alliance a lot, and listening to some of the things the community said made me kinda bummed about the game.
I've always been a casual KR player, so it kinda stings when people start telling me that I've been playing the game wrong. It makes you feel stupid, which I guess is some people's goal.
I enjoy hearing people's opinions, but not when they're thrown in your face while simultaneously calling you an idiot.
I dont know why these days people are obsessed with jumping the gun, KRA just released yall, calm down. I bought the game day 1 and honestly, I liked it though I agree with the lack of content because of the release model the team took (Base campaign on release, gradually updating it with extra campaign levels and balance patches.)
I genuinely dont understand "elitists" in this game, I thought KR was always casual first (easy and simple enough to beat with the difficulty being generous) while being enough of a challenge for those who seek it (Impossible mode, Heroic, Iron challenges).
I have my fair share of criticisms of the game (From not being able to select Impossible on a new save despite beating the campaign already to making a lot of towers be rendered risky or a waste of a slot due to the mass of flying enemies by the third area). I like the tower balancing just that the enemies invalidate that balance by favoring towers that can hit air vs towers that can't.

Hi Volduke! Do you think you could do a tower ranking from worst to best? I really found your hero ranking so useful. I know it's probably a lot of work to do, and I understand if you tell me you won't do it, but could you do a tower ranking from worst to best? But I think it would be insanely useful to both new and pro players to know actual stats and numbers. You are one of the bests at making rankings videos.
During my first playthrough I noticed how much smoother the game went when I switched to a specific hero combo. I tried to level up others and sort of give myself a challenge, but I ended up going through the campaign with a new combo that fit my style even better. When I used the first one I could've sworn it was the best, but I guess I was wrong. After watching some videos both in English and my native language I noticed people in the comments recommending towers and heroes that were good for them. I commented once that we shouldn't use towers only because we've seen a subjective tierlist or an opinion. However my comment was useless, people won't spend much time researching, because it is really hard to get out of your comfort zone. Another thing is that even if a tower is op but doesn't fit one's playstyle it is just useless for them. I somehow feel like I've just put myself above others, but I am too a subjective being. Also this comment is nothing more than the things you've just said in the video, but I just wanted to speak off my mind.
OK so, everyone is dumb because they all play on easy or normal. If they played in veteran they would know that it's very hard to beat a level on the first try edit: at least for 3 stars.

I don't know anything regarding community, because I'm not actively a part of it, but I will agree regarding towers. Maybe not about balance, not expert on it, but in just one playthrough I managed to use all towers, and it's the first time when I enjoyed all of them. But bosses were underwhelming, especially the last one

My oppinion on kingdom rush alliance: I liked it, using the different towers were fun, the game is bit on the easier side as I did all levels on first try and blind on veteran. Using 2 heroes gives a more to manage but For someone who has played league of legends and world of Warcraft, its really nothing. Bosses are really easy heck I even beat king denas boss with Dune sentinels only and got 3 stars. The final level of the game has a funny idea with the fight against overseer being instantly boss fight time instead if the usual do 15 waves and boss fight then, just a shame all I need is 2 towers to beat. Overall enjoyment 9/10. Difficulty 4/10. Story 6/10 Final thing. This is not as good as original or frontiers but is better than vengeance and ties with origins For me.

I would say origins has the hardest main stages while kr and krf are quite easy. Kra on the other hand has so many small and fast enemies not to mention flying ones that just go trought a random path.

I agree with you, people are rushing with their quality of the content videos. Most people think that some levels are easier but, in later on its serveal them a punishment by adding harder enemies to deal with and others things that will make them even harder. Like for example in corruption valley and some other levels. Most people don’t respect people’s opinions about their favourite/least favourite towers and heroes
I missed old superjombo because his opinions are too harsh and critiqued that some towers aren’t worth it but they’re secretly good that helps you to clutch in the game. I know the fact that some towers abilities are not good based on pricey, but it’s good for you to deal with enemies and the bosses *cough* * cough* arcane mage
This has nothing to do with the video but in the future kingdom rush game I hope they will use the old upgrading system where y upgrade based on how many stars u got on levels and that promoted strategy and effort in order to get good upgrades

I've been so disapointed by the kingdom rush community since the release of KR5, I guess the game is somehow too balanced for this community ? Every tower and heroes have their strenghs and their weeknesses, so no matter which one you like or don't like, there will always be someone to insult you and say you're playing the game wrong, why not just letting people enjoy the game and share their opinion ?

I'd say yes, the game is more difficult and fixed the horrible waves vengeance had, the two heroes also noticiably increased the amount of micro you have to do since the map is now separated in two in most stages

The amount of missions at Alliance release is a disappointment. No elite missions after the campaign. Let's hope for multiple DLC mini campaigns.

1st KRA is not tripple the price, its 20€ and KR is 10€, KRF is also 10€.
But lets compare the graphics, animations and artstyle. KRA is just ahead by far. And we will get alot of free updates, most likely similar to KRV, which had the most free updates out of all the games with 2 premium DLCs. KRA is going to most likely be similar. KR has 12 post game stages, KRF only has 7 and KRO has as well only 7.
KRV has 15.
You can also just take the mobile version as you get lower starting price and still get fre updates, than its even more valuable. Sure no premium towers and heroes but you do get alot for the money.
Ofc this is my opinion that im basing on KRV updates and i could be completly wrong at the end if we get little post game stages. But thats unlikely.

Yes we will almost certainly have more content added. I don't consider it free though, it's been paid for in the purchase price of the game. They can add additional campaigns as paid DLC but first they need to add post game stages. For the price and compared to the rest of the series, I'd like to see 10+ post game stages. As for paid DLC, the KRV DLC is $7 for 5 stages. A reduced price that seemed to be $8 USD so ~$13 for me on release. And no surprise everyone at the time thought it wasn't good value.
Other tower defence games are just so much better value for money. BTD6 is $18 (50% off at current so even cheaper), I have put over 300 hours into it on steam alone, probably a similar amount on mobile. 70 hours into BTD5 which is $12 (50% off at current). 70 hours into defenders quest $18 (80% off at current). 10 hours into Emberward this past week which is more than I've played KRA despite Emberward being early access and KRA not (they released on the same day). Oh and it's also $15 so half the price of KRA. Of course I will be playing KRA more, probably try to 100% it at some point, but I doubt I'll get above 50 hours on it even once all the expected content is added. Which I think would be good value for the price, it's just not in it's current stage.
Honestly this is more of a general gamers issue
oh boy, this is going to be a long one, but necessary:
1. You really are not expected to beat a level at a first try, it is not normal, especially if the gameplay is built within the concept of not be able to build all towrs from the base form, also especially when comes new spawns of enemies, spawns which were not shown before then, and that is fine, there is no problem in the game to play a level, see that the strat was shit and then retry it with a new strat, people are just being toxic with those commentaries
2. There is really no correct way of playing, and thats why there are diferent towers for diferent uses and strategies, thi really is what Vengeance should have been, Im serious when I say: EVERY TOWER IS USABLE, every single one of them can be used to create diferent satrategies and them all can work, this is really perfect for the gameplay, tecnically speaking this seems to be the most balanced KIngdom Rush game, at least for the towers, not heroes (most of them seems shit to me).
3. Althought I said in the number 2 that the game seems balanced at the towers, that cannot be said about the enemies, seriously, this is easier than Vengeance, I played the first biome in Normal difficult, and it felt alright for a first biome, like it is a tutorial, but who was expecting a easy tutorial, heck we are at the fifth tower game, this should have not been too easy, in fact I actually changed to Veteran after the boss, and then the second biome felt easier, really the bosses and areas in general are the easiest in the franchise, i actually defeated Denas without knowing that Vez'Nam could use sorceries during battle.
4. The game needs desperatly updates the lack of extra levels is boring because there is no extra challenge after the final boss, besides iron mode for the levels. As it is now, the game is really overpriced and thee argument "they are gonig to update" is the same argument I've heard for MANY other games, most of them died during that period, I know that this won't happen since it is a offline game, an no, the Vengeance updates aren't the same thing, because at that point Vengeance felt as a finished game, it was done, then suddenly, WHOA! surprise update and content, YAY, as for Alliance, the game seems like it is not finished yet.
In resume, the game is for now: overpriced and easy, but at the same time it was fun to me, the game it is not bad, at least, thats my opinion.
I 100% agree! The game released in FULL, it DIDN'T release early access, it DESERVES to be critiqued for charging 20 bucks relative to what content youre getting, ESPECIALLY when games like btd6 and infinitode 2 exist.

Superjombombos youtube comments section is actually decent. They disagree sometimes, but they're mostly respectful. SJB just likes to put in that disclaimer. But it's not even entirely his opinion. He uses math to determine efficiency, and the numbers do seem to line up with what I've seen in the game. Though I think arborrean emissary is better than most people say it is. You can't calculate that tower based on its solo performance. But I could be wrong. I still play mostly on normal, so my opinion isn't worth much. Like, your comment on soloing all the flying units with just heroes and reinforcements seems impossible to me 😅. There are so many.
