    Here is my take, since I have not heard one reviewer talk about this aspect:
    For Crazy Stories and Security Stories, these Story glasses are great. They are actually cheap if you think about it from a defense perspective.
    For road rage, police, crime and other unforeseen interactions they are a great tool. Hands free, record sound, and give you 30 secs of instant video before you get your phone out. The sound recording also allows verbal recording of a lic plate, threats, or other vital info. I like them for an additional defensive tool in a crazy world.

      @@MatthewRumble Yes and those cameras have a data controller, the images are recorded onto a secured server and us operators go through security clearance and licencing. There are regulations to adhere to that even the police can't just walk on in and demand to see footage. Nor are the cameras actively monitored for one simple fact, we have too much going on to be watching some random person go about his day, nevernind identifying them via social media, its just not possible. So its not what you think... half those cameras don't even work properly. They're old, dirty, faulty and the cables simply can't handle even HD cameras. The network is just too long and fibre optics is too expensive to install. So you'd be lucky to even move a ptz half way across the city half the time, nevermind without it lagging.
      But these, somebody could walk out of prison and put these on. Theyre linked to Facebook and you have no idea who that person is where the data goes. Sugar coat then all you like, they are no different to spy glasses. So no thanks. Atleast cctv controllers are licenced and go through security clearance for a reason, nor can anyone, even the police, can demand to see footage without going through clearance.

    I always think of these side releases as gadgets that failed to make it to the operative world and instead they made it public business for everyone. First drones, now this.. still waiting for explosive pens.

      So true. The govt actually has a whole department whose job it is to militarize new patents and new everything that makes it to their desk. Their entire R&D department probably with tech innovators literally come up with things like this. We know that spy movies have been using pinhole cameras in everything from glasses to jewelry, etc. These glasses are not a new concept at all. They picked a popular company that they knew would price gouge but also have the money to provide premium quality. What they are gonna do is bring out this water downed version, make a ton of money then come out with upgraded versions having people basically buy the same item because they decided you could record longer or have better resolution. These companies aren’t stupid

    I can’t think of a gadget I’m less excited for. I don’t know why, the tech is sort of amazing, but I’m not really feeling the use cases where these are suddenly better than a simple smartphone. I also don’t like that everything is becoming more and more dependent on a good smartphone anyway. Wearables just don’t do much for me, yet at least.

      I’m totally with you.
      The only wearable I’m into are the true wireless earbuds. But other than that I’ve skipped the smartwatch love and now smart sunglasses.
      though I do like sunglasses alone.

    • @slappy0079
      @slappy0079 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sarizonana yeah, considering these are less than a pair of Oakleys they could be called a value. But I’m already intruded on enough in my daily life without having some body monitoring what I’m looking at too

    • @sarizonana
      @sarizonana 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@slappy0079 yes, so true again, wearables are just not exciting, tech yes totally and well these glasses are fun to look at but it’s not something like I’m dying to get and neither a smartwatch.
      I love my iPad, my smartphone and my earbuds but if I wanted a watch I’d get a regular nice Michael Kors or Fossil and for sunglasses, I just got a pair of regular RayBan wayferers. i wonder if the sellers at sunglasshut and similar feel surprised when we don’t go looking for the Rayban stories.
      and we just go for our typical regular sunnies.
      I also making my coffee in my Nesspresso but that’s simple tech
      So yeah I love tech and fashion but not together.
      I mean what’s next a bottle perfume where you can check your messages ? Lol 😂
      Fashion and tech should stay separately.
