I think most American Idol winners think that Carrie became such a success, they should have no problem making in the music business. As they found out, nope. And they can't figure out what happen. Simply put, American idol just open the door for Carrie and Carrie did the rest. Carrie possess something other winners don't have. Carrie's vocals are natural power. Where as everybody else have to force more power, she doesn't have to.
And you can tell the woman doesn't lip. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that! Even if she's out of breath.. ITs not easy to dance and sing at the same time. Even the best run out of steam at one point.. Especially vocalists like her. Doing Carrie in Karaoke, is a lung function test!
The main reason, Idol likes bringing Carrie near the end is to contestants, how you win it. And you are supposed further your career. As Carrie puts herself, winning means absolutely nothing, if you don't do nothing with it. Music industry isn't going to help at all. As with Carrie, she force country music into accepting her. Because is so good, fans accepted so much. Country didn't want her, but changed their mind, when her album, "Some Hearts" busted the industry wide open for her. All of her albums become top-selling.
Carrie is the best country singer... no argument. Politics aside ;) Also my only favorite one. Her songs are AHMAZING. She is also.
At first they wanted her to put a pop album out while she was working on some hearts but she told them she's country
Is it safe to say that her studio albums don't hold a candle to the live versions? Shes one a few artists who sound exactly like the studio versions but a helluva lot better!!
Troy Turner Carrie is one performer, if you told to close your eyes and somebody played two versions of one of her songs. One from CD and one from live version and told to pick the live version. You can't do it, because they are exactly the same.
Problem is young artists sound better in the studio, and when they ended up perform live in arenas. Fans hear the way, they really sound. Where as Carrie being on Idol, did it the other way. We heard her real voice on Idol. Studio didn't have to clean it up.
I love UNDO IT!! One of my favorite songs of hers :D Also, yes, no auto-tune or weird alterations needed.
Just like Beyonce, after hearing her live you can't stand the studio version lol
