Im.not a climber but i need to say this doctor is so generous with her amazing wisdom!
Aww, thank you so kindly for the sincere thanks. I'm smiling!
Awesome video! Ordering mine tonight!!
How did it go?
Would love more videos for preventative measures!
I think that is a GREAT idea! What were you thinking? I could make a few! (I love new ideas!!)
I'm working on them, and step by step exercises, acton plans and worksheets. I'm sorry. my office got busy and I got a little behind ;-) I should have this all up soon on my website at climbinginjuriessolved.com AND I have a great new podcast that this is covered weekly (different rotating regions/injuries) that you might be interested in. Bit.ly/32Slj18 ;-)
Thanks for the video! I have a yellow one and it’s helping me with medial epicondalitis (sp?) and these are gonna help me get better!
I'm so happy it is helping! Is your epicondylitis better?! HOPE SO!!
Ive had climbers elbow for the past half year I really hope this can help I'm very sad and can't work out
I have wrist and thumb tendonitis in both hands for several months now, so when I bought the green Cando flexbar which is 30lb, it caused my severe pain and now I'm gonna use the green Theraband which is only 15lb. Is it ok for my case? For some reason my tendonitis won't heal soon enough and I don't know what to do...
Just subscribed to your channel, found this so helpful. I was just wondering if these would assist with a TFCC injury recovery?
OOOH. I am so sorry, I just saw this. The goal is stability. If you can stabilize through a TFCC injury then YES!! It would totally help. HOW is your TFCC NOW? I hope it is at 100% (and for those others who also have one, how long did it take for you to heal and what did you do to recover it?!) Great tool, and TFCC, usually when the swelling comes out and the joint is stabilized with exercises heals nicely (fingers crossed!!)
There are actually 4 different ones yellow 6lb red 10 lb green 15 lb blue 25 lb
Zeke, there are SOOO many on the market. Yes Theraband has 4 colors (blue I almost never hand out unless it is a pro climber and they are completely injury free as a preventative measure). Cando also has a great lineup of the same tool but non-name brand. Both are excellent. Do you have any other tools in your arsenal that you love?
@@ClimbingInjuriesSolved I do jiu jitsu so I use the blue one for grip strength when I’m not injured and I use the red when I am injured these are amazing
I am trying these exercises to rehab some type of repetitive injury I sustained to my wrist while climbing a lot. I found that it does click almost everytime I do a rep of these exercises. I took your advice and it appears to be the Lexor Carpi on the outside of my wrist. I have tried stretching it multiple ways and even used a special roller I have for my arms. Even when I have my arm fully stretched it still clicks doing the exercises. In that case would you recommend taping up my wrist when doing the exercises or should I continue to try and find the right muscle that will release that tendon? I've noticed the clicking for probably a year or two now and it typically happens during rotation.
Great point (and I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner) When a tendon clicks, it is snapping over a bony prominence OR another tendon. This means that it is either tight (pulled wiht more tension as it moves over the other structure) or it is enlarged (swollen from inflammation , swelling, or the delayed effects of the inflammation process). It might be that your tendon is enlarged, and taking up more space than it used to, meaning that it might be going through the phases of tendinosis. In phase 1 the tendon swells and takes up more space as the tissues break down. I'd love to know how it is doing now and to shoot you an action plan if you 'd like to continue your step-by-step progress in this region. NO injury is beyond self-care. You sound like you are willing to do the work (and I LOVE THAT!!). I'm designing and developing my action plans on my website at climbinginjuriessolved.com ;-)
I dont know which color to buy between red and tht green. Its really expensive in my country so i cant buy both. Im afraid if i got red one it will be too light and if the green one is too hard then thts a prob too. Been watching this type of vid to get the strength level idea but still torn.
Always get the lighter one
Aya, Also, you might find a company that is similar but a different brand that is closer to home. The brand is not as important as the use ;-)
@@NickGhale Absolutely! What did you use this tool to recover?
👍👍🏾
Thanks for watching my video. And an awesome name. I LOVE climbing on blue marble (they have it up in Wyoming here near my home, super gorgeous rock!!)
Pretty much the most USELESS video about the flexbar and it claims to be a full guide?? 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for your input! If you buy this tool the paperwork that comes with it only shows one exercise. This tool is SOOO much more useful than that. What do you like about this tool, did you get it?!
