- Severe storms are tore through the central and southeast U.S., spawning damaging tornadoes, producing massive hail, and killing two people in Tennessee and another in North Carolina.
In Michigan three confirmed tornadoes touched down in the southwest part of the state, according to weather service meteorologist Nathan Jeruzal.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer declared a state of emergency for four counties.
Kalamazoo County's Portage area was hard hit as a FedEx facility was ripped apart and more than a dozen mobile homes were destroyed.
About 50 people temporarily were trapped inside the damaged facility because of downed power lines.
More than a dozen homes were destroyed in a mobile home park in adjacent Pavilion Township and 16 people were injured, according to Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller. - บันเทิง
Those storms are so destructive. I can't believe the sheer number of tornadoes that have hit since Monday. 42 tornadoes in all!
Trees: we bend so we don’t break.
Wind: challenge accepted
House took the winds way better than the trees. Either a good contractor or a bad landscaper.
because a landscaper is responsible for the tensile strength of a tree? How do you personally think a landscaper could've prevented this?
those trees nearly wrapped themselves back around ... do we have to put steel bars or something inside of all the trees?
I don't think the house took a direct hit. You really couldn't see the roof or siding either. New homes today are built cheaply. Most don't even have a basement.
@@marvinhunt8276 I always wondered why Europe typically built buildings with masonry or solid wood and they don't have tornadoes (usually), while in the US we built with fairly fragile 2x balloon framing.
@@moffichu9150 It was just a joke. Though this is one major issue with "planting" fairly large trees as they don't have the root structure needed to support themselves. A tree can't fight high winds without a good root structure. The root balls that pull up in the video are a bit bigger than a recent planting though.
The ground is really saturated, with how easily the trees uprooted. Also have shallow ball roots.
We get a lot of rain in April, lots of torrential downpours and flooding. It feels like 80% of the month is rain and it makes the ground really soft.
So sad.
So sad😢
Wow. They pretty much all went.
Ever thought about starting a firewood business?
At least ef three I’ll not be surprised if it moves up to the violent ef4 five category
It was rated EF-2
The flag was stronger than the trees
Magic take shelter Metals metal I need to survive
weak ass fucking trees aint no way some 75mph winds completely uprooted all those trees
If you think a tornado has 75mph winds, you’ve definitely never experienced one.
135 mph wind they said
Too funny what u said 😊
Due to a combination of the tree's root system, and the ground being saturated.
@@trustinJesus_only-_Peak intensity. Here, 75 mph at the most. Unless higher gusts occurred at the end.
