I moved to London in November from Toronto. The reason for moving was housing affordability. Definitely London is a lot cheaper to buy a house or rent. The price of groceries I find is similar to Toronto. So far I’m liking living in London 😊

Moved to London almost 30 years ago. Bought a condo for 98,000 15 years ago and has quadrupled in value. Most of the city is safe and easy to get around compared with gta.

I moved to London about 20 years ago, my family is here and I ended up working for a Toronto based company and I live a lot cheaper than my colleagues.
We noticed that everything is cheaper, not just housing but groceries, gas, everything.
There’s not as much to do, so we miss the convenience of Toronto for sure but it’s still an easy 2-hour drive to go there.

Is it easy to get a job in London?
2-hour drive to work to Toronto from London is not easy!

Groceries are exactly the same and gas is maybe 5c a liter cheaper. Only the housing is really cheaper, and this is coming from a high end area of Toronto buying groceries from Summerhill Market in Rosedale maybe is more expensive then loblaws here in London but otherwise its the same cost.

london hates itself fr. we need to be a better community who supports each other and immigrants. BUT immigrants (from ANYWHERE) need to start buying things IN london. our economy is terrible right now because of the amount of money taken out of the economy and not given back

You think a nurse or a carpenter ( union ) gets paid 30 percent less. NO WAY

@@frankmelkert9503 You named the very small group of union jobs, try that logic on anything eles in this city and you'll see its very much not in line with other city's wages to cost of living.
