    • @TGC1607
      @TGC1607 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      My dad was young and had seen this mask but with no body just a head with this mask it was glowing up the hole room for him and 5 min later when his head was under the planket it was gone so i wonder and i ask of you what dose that mean

    • @ZENUPYourLife-withSanaSakura
      @ZENUPYourLife-withSanaSakura  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @TGC1607 It sounds like your dad had a supernatural experience. The glowing mask and its sudden disappearance could symbolize a spiritual encounter, as masks in many cultures represent otherworldly beings or spirits. It might be worth exploring the specific mask type to understand its significance.

      That’s because the gov hates it and doesn’t want it broadcast properly well that’s my theory also because it’s sacred and also because it had a lot to do with tattooing wich is basically illegal in Japan

    • @Annoh89
      @Annoh89 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@notyourprofilenohandle It's not illegal. It used to be, tattooing was a way for the government to "mark" criminals. Nowadays the stigma is slowly fading and it is just seen as art or fashion.

    This story is incredibly beautiful and interesting. Thank you so much for sharing.
    I feel like both hannya and the monk were in the wrong. The monk should have never promised something like that to hannya. He led her on and rather than tell the truth he continued to use deception. Hannya was in the wrong for not learning to control her passion and murdering the monk.
    The story clearly shows that monks (who are normally seen as people of virtue and honesty) can lie and deceive. It shows they are human which is cool.

      He was so desperate to just say anything to get her away from him. "pester or harass (someone) in an aggressive or persistent manner."that's the definition of molesting someone. If it was the other way around and it was him sneaking into her bed at night and forcing himself on her everyone would call him a rapist and creep. Just because it is a woman No mean No and you cant force yourself onto people without their permission he obviously was scared and desperate to just get her off he didn't do anything wrong. She barely knew the guy and decided to let emotions overcome logic. If you want to know who the bad guy is, look who turned into a demon murderer of an innocent man that tried to run away and pursue a righteous path. If someone rejects you you shouldn't murder them obviously. This is a story about a woman who lost her way and became the ugly that was inside and it overcame her turning her ugly inside and out. She could have in the end asked for forgiveness and lived a life trying to right her wrongs but nope she ended her life in misery .Her whole existence even til death was just darkness. Very sad and brutal. It's crazy because she barely knew this guy and turned into a complete psycho.

    • @xladyvalkyriex
      @xladyvalkyriex 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@crystallynnbyrne5511 I agree with this wholeheartedly. She literally held onto him and begged him all night. I don't blame him for deceiving her, if that was the only way to keep his dignity and virtue. Although the murder was an accident, she could not control her passions and was essentially a rapist. I don't believe she deserved death any more than him, but she was clearly the antagonist in the story.

    Wow, thanks for sharing this intriguing folklore. I think Anchin shouldn't have led Kyohime on, giving her false hope. He destroyed her trust and broke a heart into a thousand pieces. He should have being frank with her, telling her that he had already devoted his whole heart to the Buddha and had no desire for sensual pleasure. But on the other hand, I see why he resorted to lies to escape from her and her burning "love". Sometimes no matter how hard you try, you cannot force yourself to return the feelings. Being pursued by someone you fear is stressful and horrible. Kyohime definitely has anger issues and doesn't understand boundaries. Despite my rational understanding, the emotional part of me couldn't help but sympathize with Kyohime. It is really painful to accept the fact often the person whom we are infatuated with does love us back.

    Hello! Thank you so much for posting this video, such an interesting story, I think both of them were wrong in some ways, the monk shouldn't had promised, however he was pressured to do so, but as you've said "don't promise what you can't keep". The girl forced herself onto someone, she should have known the limits and should have respected the other person, but is awfull that her love became such a wrath. I think that people also confuse Hannya with males is because of the Oni. Oni, as you know are primarily demonic entities that are primarily male. Hannya are female Oni, but with a twist, they're the embodiment of the scorned woman driven mad with jealousy. They are then cursed by their own rage. I tried to find the Tomita river on current maps. Do we have a current modern name on the Tomita? Is that just an archaic name? Or is that simply a mythological name? I like finding locations from the past that can be visited but I just can't find it.
