Great stuff as always!! This channel has had me on a streamer kick! Mini versions of those classic streamers you see people fishing out west are much more effective here out east, especially in my state (pa)

Yeah, I figured that out and have never looked back! Big fish eat size 22 flies and have no problem eating a mini streamer! Check out the M&M and Microburst I know they work in PA! Enjoy and glad you're enjoying the channel!

I've got zonkers 2 1/2 inch long and they float when dry, I fish a sinking line but while I wait on the line sinking I've caught many trout with they big zonkers like big dry flys just floating their or as soon as you start tugging the fly under the surface - bang fish on!

Was baffled at first on tying, but awesome pattern & simplistic tying, attaching the rear hook is similar to the Graboid Leech by Jonathan Farmer (OPST) & can if needed be replaced,my area we're only allowed 1 hook & can see it on a 27 mm shank with the rear trailer hook, tight lines 🤙

I understand your initial confusion with the tying process, but I'm glad you found the pattern and tying method to be awesome and simplistic in the end. I love the guys at OPST, it's cool that you noticed similarities to the Graboid Leech pattern, particularly in how the rear hook is attached. That's also why I reference Jerry French in the video, I think he was a disciple of OSPT as well.
Your idea of using a 27 mm shank with a rear trailer hook sounds like a sweet modification that will work well! Tight lines to you as well, and I hope your adapted version of this pattern brings you success on the water.

Your 3/4 of an inch is so much longer than mine! Good looking fly though!

Math was never my strong suit, better to go long anyway! :) I caught that mistake too and put a note in the video (@15:04) after I measured it and it was 1 3/4"! Enjoy tying it!

Hi. Thanks for the video. Love your patterns and tutorials. What float tube were you using at the start of this video? I'm curious as I'm looking for a tube/ craft that has oars. Thanks

It's a Watermaster, Kodiak... great boat! Let me know if you have other questions.

@TroutTornado awesome thanks for letting me know. Are you happy with it? I've got a float tube but it doesn't have oars so I'm looking at other options. Appreciate your input

I absolutely love it, it's been a game changer for me. Really opened up miles of water and helped with stealth!
