Well, that wasn't too hard on the eyes...lol. ;) Loved both the spectacular scenery and that Dreamliner wing. Most beautiful/elegant wing in the biz, IMO.
I love the Fire Island approach - I know I am almost back home in Anchorage. I live in Kincaid - on the south of runway 7R. We couldn't be much closer than this to the airport. A few years back when they were doing improvements on runway 15 all traffic was routed to 7R (east-west) which significantly increased the noise level (never really bothered me) but as a result we received upgraded windows and doors that insulate the sound better at no cost to the homeowners. The airport it getting ready to expand again, which is great news for our city. Great landing and welcome to ANC!
Being an Anchorage resident I can say this was filmed early summer. Leaves on disiduous trees. Most flights originating from say Seattle fly the coast like this. I always want the R side heading N, the L side seats heading S for these glacial mountain ocean scenes. This vid shows crossing the Kenai ( keen eye ) Peninsula at the neck of the Pensla. Anch has a N/S runway and E/W runway. In this vid you see landing crossing Fire Island w wind generators. That means from over Cook Inlet Which is W of town, it's approach is on the E/W runway. Anchorage is basically a triangle. Chugach Mt range on the East Cook Inlet to the W on two sides of the triangle with Ted Stevens on the tip of the triangle pointing W toward the Inlet. Nice video! 😊
Thanks for all of that info my friend. I actually flew to Kenai (the city) recently on Ravn Alaska, and those videos are on my channel as well. I really enjoyed it!
Beautiful video. Always enjoy it when you fly past the airport you’re going to land at. The last time we crossed the pond on a now retired Virgin 747 we flew parallel with MCO then did a sporty 180 to line up and land perfectly.
The windows are clean. Not smudgy. Awesome video. Good stable camera attachment. Good audio. It is just awesome. 😊✈🛫 Oh by the way, what are you using to hold the camera? a tripod? a gimbal?
@@sla31 wow, that's like 30mins of stable video capture without any sudden movements. It is amazing that how you captured those footage. Keep it up. 👍😊🛫
Speed brakes saved my ass many times. I can't imagine the passengers didn't experience shear terror a few times achieving glide slope, AOA, and speed to reach the runway. Luckily for the world I got much better with my flight sim game 😂.
It looks like home to me. It always worries me landing in fog here. I know those mountains are down there somewhere and you see nothing as a passenger until you see the Inlet right under you seconds before landing. We came home on Jan 2nd with high winds and I'm the pilot did a crab landing.
This was recorded last June. I've just now gotten around to posting it. See, when you upload 365 videos per year, you have to fly a lot. And flying a lot means I get backlogged when it comes to footage haha. Anyways, thanks for watching my friend!
@@sla31 what are you a graphic editor for flight sim, I seen the other video in which I thought I was losing my mind then I checked my history and there 2 videos one that was real the other a simulation, amazing I can tell you how I know it's a sim well this video, next time your in Anchorage let's have coffee.
@@roderickwinslow8642 I’m confused. Do you still think this video in particular is a simulation? Or are you talking about another video. I said 100% of my videos are real. I take that back, there are like 3 videos I posed right when Covid hit using X-Plane 11 because I didn’t know what was going to happen with Covid. Those are the only 3 videos I’ve ever done in a sim. So no, I’m not a sim graphics editor haha. I definitely plan to be in Anchorage again this year.
Hawaii. I love Alaska now and I plan to be back at least twice again this year, but Hawaii will always be special to me. It was where my wife and I took our honeymoon, which was also one of my first "big" trips. And I've been back so many times now, and I still never tire of visiting Hawaii.
I grew up in CO. Went to Alaska in 2000 for 2 weeks rented a camper and drove around and fished the 3rd week of July. 🦟 Mosquitos sucked ,should be the state bird! I moved to Hawaii 5 years ago. I would take Alaska any day!
Great fly! I noticed you change your video time schedule and you didn't mentioned why per your pinned comment. Why the change? Also do you live in Central Time Zone?
I do live in the central time zone. I live near Joplin, Missouri. Also, I didn't expand on it in the pinned comment because I went into detail as to why in a community post that same day. Basically, when I've uploaded videos earlier in the day in the past, they've performed better in their first 24 hours, which then helps them perform better long term. Uploading earlier also gives TH-cam and more importantly, Google, more time to index the video into search results.
The 787’s wings are a true work of art.
Well, that wasn't too hard on the eyes...lol. ;) Loved both the spectacular scenery and that Dreamliner wing. Most beautiful/elegant wing in the biz, IMO.
You're right about that wing. It's such a piece of art it almost doesn't seem real.
Thanks my friend. It's easy to make videos look good when the scenery is this good. And the wing of the 787 just makes it even better.
Spectacular scenery
nothing better than cold, smooth air.

The stillness of the wing!!! Wow. The steady of the camera!!! Wow wow.
I love the arrival on a winter night when Anchorage glows with all of its lights.

Ah glad to see this stunning approach into Anchorage again! Simply incredible and was really enjoyable once again!
What an amazing approach! Thanks for sharing ! Always love a good Dreamliner wing!!
Love this beast of a plane. Great stuff
Great illustration of downwind, base, and final approach because of the easy to see landmarks (the island with the small lake). Another great video!
That was by far the most beautiful approach I've ever seen! Great video!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it my friend!
The approach for runway 7R is so awesome. Great video again!
Thanks my friend!
@Skylite Productions,
INCREDIBLE LANDING
American Airlines Boeing 787 Dreamliner is one of my favorite planes even though I never been on it.
BEST approach I've ever seen!☀️😎👍👍👍👍👍👍
Very nice. Anchorage itself is not a beautiful city, but the surroundings are unsurpassed.
Wow, beautiful indeed. I hope to make it up there one day.
it's well worth the trip my friend. Thanks for watching!
Come right up!
That is literally the best video I have ever seen!!!!

I LOVE IT

That would be my right hand, since I was sitting on the right side of the aircraft. To provide the best footage possible, I hold the camera by hand.

И в какой же порт прилетел этот красавец Дремлайнер?🔥
Was this video recorded recently? I sort of expected more snow on the mountains for this time of year.

Why doesn't American Airlines make you stow your headrest on takeoff and landing where as United and Hawaiian do?
I honestly don’t know. That I’d a question for someone with more American company policy knowledge then me. Thanks for watching my friend!
WOAH! that is incredible.

it always looks so clear up north, now is that because it's colder up there or less populated?
Honestly, probably a bit of both. Thanks for watching my friend!
My summer hope airplane this Boeing 787!
I see a crack on the wing.
Must be nice , I flew Delta , A350 Detroit to Seoul, South Korea , 13 hours , wasn't allowed to open the blinds to lookout the entire trip👎🤡
