Perceiving Functions - Se Si Ne Ni
The four perceiving functions influence how we understand our reality right now. Your past experiences are Si, your current reality is Se, your plan for the future is Ni, and Ne is all the crazy connections and randomness along the way.
Judging Functions - Fe Fi Te Ti
The four judging functions influence our decisions we make everyday. We listen to the Fe feedback of our community, listen to our own Fi beliefs, trust how we understand a certain thing using our Ti framework, and lastly taking Te objective action.

Intj’s are the best for entp’s, if they are both incredibly healthy and have a growth mindset. It is like a power duo, but they can’t have unresolved trauma. Otherwise it is gonna power duo, but the arms are aimed at each other instead of the world

MBTI makes sense if you dont believe in BS tests. If you read up on cognitive functions, it helps a lot. But still MBTI only tells you what cognitive functions you use, not how you use them. I went from being mistyped as INTJ to finally figuring out im an ENTP lmao.

As an INTJ, you can't say "As a INTJ" and follow it by "I don't believe in MBTI" because for you to be an INTJ you have to take that fact from the existence of MBTI and if you don't believe in it you won't consider yourself an INTJ

I'm a 22 yr old INTJ girl and have been best friends with an ENTP for 8 years now. She came up to me freshman year of high school when I was the new kid and literally harassed me into becoming friends. When I gave her shit though, she liked me even more for it.
I am so grateful to have someone in my life as conniving as myself. Banter and lighthearted bullying is the default show of affection for both of us. I don't get along with people who can't take a bit of a beating, so to have a friend that takes it and dishes it right back to me is invaluable to my wellbeing lol. (Our INFP friend can't really handle when we tease her)
We balance each other well. She's constantly coming up with new visions for her life, new business ideas, new boyfriends, new degrees. Always trying to take on wayyy more than she can chew (bitch bought a horse during covid.....) . That's when I can step in steer her to a path of least resistance, or advise her out of a ridiculous situation. I can usually see the flaws in her plans immediately, and so I'm her favorite sounding board. But unlike most of the people in her life, I'm not intimidated by her and can actually tell her she's wrong (when she is, which is rare).
On the other hand, when my tunnel vision kicks in, and I start isolating myself, she's there to remind me "HEY. Other people exist." Her Fe and Ne are vital in my life. She forces me to actually have fun...what a pain.
When we hang out we don't do much other than talk. For hours on end. We certainly trash talk people, systems, the world, etc. often. We're both a bit mean spirited and egotistical, but it's all in good fun ;)
What you said about both of us struggling to grapple with reality together is dead on. Maybe we enable each other a BIT too much, but the solidarity definitely helps.
I find that I often gravitate towards ENTPs. I find their open-mindedness and curiosity really stimulating, and then there's the air of confidence they exude. Hot. Simply put. Y'all are just COOL.
also...we have a running competition for messiest room. We used to play hopscotch in the few open patches on my floor...

23 INTJ I always liked this ENTP boy since I was 15. He was such an interesting person to talk and share BUT he was so annoying 🤣 I always thought he saw me only as a friend. Turns out he liked me too. We found out at 19 but we didn't wanna ruin our friendship. At 21 we started a relationship since we couldn't stop talking (and flirting) to each other. We've been together for 2 years now and we're just so compatible. Everything is better together, so if you're an intj as me go find you entp.

I am 33, an INTJ male. Recently (8 months now) started dating an ENTP, she is 32. I'll have to re-watch the video because I've forgotten most of what you said but you're spot on. Interestingly enough, we met online through a dating app, very haphazardly.. I can't say that I've ever encountered someone who made me feel like they were interested in the things I was saying while simultaneously blasting me with conversation and questions for hours on end. It's not like I haven't had below surface level conversation with other women (INFJ included) but she was so apparently different(to me) in temperament. We were hooked on each other instantly and have spent very little time apart since. Originally I was thinking ENTJ but after I met her and we spent a little time together.. it was evident that was absolutely not the case(in her family, she leaves what is called the "trail of tears" and I can attest to this sentiment in full lol). What a ball of chaos with the attention span of a gnat.. and I'd say this to her face and she would absolutely agree without blinking.
It is not a seamless, flawless relationship and she steps on my morals a bit more than I'd care for. One of the things that I appreciate the most about her and something that I noticed early on was her ability to recognize this and self correct. Our arguments are very short lived as we've both aged and matured. This is absolutely necessary and I couldn't agree with you more on the young ENTP and INTJ romance perspective. It would be and would have been for me, extremely difficult(I don't think impossible.. obviously).
I could go on endlessly regarding this particular topic and since this is the longest comment I've ever left on the TH-cam, will end it here and with this. Regardless of what happens, this has been one of the better relationships (romantic or otherwise) that I've had. It's difficult to connect with people in a way that I find satisfactory but with ENTP it's something special for me personally. Without question my favorite type.

    • @AH-zv5iz
      @AH-zv5iz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

@@kohnfutner9637 It has been challenging but very much worth the growth. There are weird little things that I have had to get use to. For instance leaving work; Very quiet drive home, listen to a podcast, a book, maybe some music but rarely - looking forward to continuing this behavior for pretty much the rest of the night. Upon entering she will have already been waiting for me, dancing to blasting club rap music.. on the coffee table and/or our island(we moved in together a few months ago). If they're awake and you're around - you will be spoken to and it will be a lot and it will become very unrelated to the original topic.
She is very much of the policy 'ask for forgiveness, not permission' which can make me very very uncomfortable depending on what she's trying to get away with. Which is often. It's been amazing being with her in a social capacity and seeing how she navigates different circumstances(this is been a huge help to me personally) - she takes very bold risks when conversing with and approaching people(in my opinion). Reaching for jokes or comments that I would have considered very ill placed and timed but more often than not work in her favor and if they don't she recognizes it immediately and changes tact - if you have never watched this live, ENTPs read people LIGHTNING FAST, it's just instantaneous.
With regards to doing battle. Which you will have to. You'd better be ready to box, DO NOT go after an ENTP woman(or probably male) if you are not sure of yourself or how strong your argument is based on facts and logic. If you get shit on and you will, it's your own fault lol. If you are sure, stand your ground. It could get pretty ugly. They know how to cut deep(speaking from experience and believe me, they see things you don't(more to INTJs)) and may lash out with some pretty hurtful words and it will be extremely unexpected and way out of left field. Let it go and if it's really bad, just walk away. Let them be with the guilt, they know what they said and how badly it could have hurt. They'll come back and either address the solution or just implement it, so long as it's a better way of doing business. That's been my experience at least. She has actually told me on a number of occasions(repeats stories and events constantly) that one of the things she was most attracted to was that I wouldn't back down from her when she was being a brat(which is often). Though I'd argue that is true of any relationship..
I'm rambling and losing my train of thought.. Thanks for asking :p

An ENTP can win an argument with an INTJ if they don’t make a front attack.. just do empathy; then show a different perspective and allow the INTJ to see that they are wrong..

    • @thehosptial6877

Very true. Fe wants to make Fi feel good... which the INTJ is fairly in touch with. They also expect to do the thinking all the time. The best way to win any argument is to come from an unexpected perspective. ENTP "attacks" Feelings, and the INTJ doesn't expect it. That would work very well.

I'm an ENTP female and I recently met an amazing truly smart (to my surprise) make INTJ... I gotta admit it, this guy gives me unbelievable brain orgasms, lol.... Though I'm very chaotic, very unorganized, I get bored easily, and way too talkative and argumentative, i will tell him straight to face what I think and how I feel and it seems like it doesn't scare him as it happened with many other types and he replies in a way that satisfys my curiosity about his thoughts and feelings but at the same time, leaves a big part of himself unrevealed.. Making him much more interesting for me to explore since he remains partly a mystery.
He understands the chaotic way i speak, the random information i drop many times and what I mean most of the time without effort and other questions which is actually very surprising to me... Most people don't, lol.
These things are major mental turnons to me. I think I'm really falling in love with him and I just hate losing control of my mind and my feelings.
Though I can clearly see that we have some fundamental differences. I tend to want to analyze and speak about everything, I rarely keep secrets, he s much more introverted than me and he prefers to get lost in his books.. Reading books is his all time best activity.
Also I ve already noticed that we are both very stubborn and strong headed when it comes to an opinion argument. I almost agree to everything he says and how he resonates with his arguments but if i happen to find that something he says is irrational and stupid, I will debate him like there's no tomorrow and he's not gonna give up and admit his "false - thinking" no matter how hard I push him against the wall with arguments, lol.
None of us will back off and it doesn't seem as if we can convince each other of our different perspectives. At least I haven't found the way yet but oh well, trust me.... I will!!! 😁 And I live for this day. ☺️

I'm an ENTP (male) with an INTJ father. We've always had a great personal relationship and also work fantastically together (we've stripped and renovated several houses together). My brainstorming and his groundedness combine extremely well. We also have the ability to communicate very effectively as we can both openly discuss/debate an issue without taking offence, even if the other is abrupt/direct with their approach. Debates are however only very rarely required as we usually grasp each other's ideas/perspectives quite easily. From my side there's nothing but admiration and respect for his personality type because it contains none of the characteristics I perceive as weaknesses or flaws (being illogical or overly emotional) and also contains attributes that I see myself as lacking (applied dedication). From his side I can say that he's always admired and respected me too, particularly for my intelligence and out of the box thinking, but he's always thought that my head is too often in the clouds. Don't ask us to talk about our feelings with each other though, that would be a very short conversation.

Healthy ENTPs are one of my favourite types, and it is great to be able to debate an idea for its own sake without having to make other considerations. However, unhealthy ENTPs are incredibly frustrating. I often see Tucker Carlson typed as ENTP (I'm not 100% sure, he might be a very unhealthy INTP), but people like that can get stuck so far in their own reasoning that they can end up abandoning their moral compass without even realising it. Nothing is quite so potentially dangerous and misleading as Ti mixed with confirmation bias.

I think of these piles as active collection points for things in process. For example, if I wear a shirt for two hours, it is neither clean or dirty. So it doesn’t belong in closet or dirty clothes. It’s in limbo so it gets placed in a pile on my dresser. It all makes sense to me but drives my wife nuts. It has taken years, but I’ve finally negotiated that she leave my piles alone. 6:47 - When I was a teenager, my parents placed a flat TV screen (one of these large ones) in my room. And since I was not using it - as I kept watching stuff on my laptop - I turned this screen into clothes hanger - where I used to store on one side my morning clothes and on the other one clothes that I need to pack for laundry (which are not dirty, but I cant place them anywhere else due to limited space).
I know it sounds crazy - but that was my system. I also had this bad habit of keeping all the time 5 mugs on my desk - which I barely washed, as one was always for coffee, one always used for water, one for tea, etc. So my family was absolutely angry and shouty about that, but I tried over and over again explain that this is my system.
Things are different now, but I drop my clothes on my chair xD Or hang the morning set on a side arm of a standing mirror xDDD And I am like 30 years old.

I feel like Ni is a massive gravity orb floating above my head. I think of it like a funnel, perceiving information all around me and condensing (inward) into the simplest or broadest answers or meaning, and fact checking everything along the way. This function requires enough time processing that it makes us introverts.
I theorize that Ne works for the ENTP like going through the opposite direction of the funnel by expanding upon ideas:
    This: th-cam.com/video/hM5CafdMc5w/w-d-xo.html
Because the INTJ has to run every part of what the ENTP says through a funnel, you would think they would be overstimulated by the ENTP but they actually enjoy it because it's thinking based, and it's heavy feeling processing that tires an INTJ out.

In my apartmemt, there is one catch-all chair in the living room. If it won't fit in the chair, it temporarily goes in the catch-all corner of the 'craft room' which is the opposite side of the living room and is where my wife's sewing machine, my drafting table (which I built in high school shop class), and the shelves for our craft supplies are. I say temporarily because I have a thing about filling up floor space, so it eventually has to be donated, sold or stored elsewhere. It can't live in the corner on the floor forever.
Then, there's the pocket emptying basket by the front door next to the all-important white board that we keep track of stuff on. I always look there first when searching for keys, phones, etc. We have multiple junk drawers, one in every piece of furniture that has drawers. Even the chest of drawers in the bedroom has a drawer that is random things one might wear like jewelery, watches, belts, etc. Our home office has a catch-all shelf in the closet as well.
Things for us are loosely organized around where they are used most often. We have a saying in my family: "The place you first searched for it is where it belongs once you find it and are now done using it." Now and then we absentmindedly put stuff down in random places, but they eventually get put back in their spot.
Absentminded is a big thing for my wife and me. She's a bit more so than I am. I've gradually become less organized than the hyper organized guy I used to be and she's gotten a bit more organized over iur 16 years of marriage. We meet in the middle now. We're both lost in our own heads a lot of the time though. She's usually daydreaming about her teaching plans and goals or thinking of family and friends, while I'm in my writing, tinkering and gardening worlds. She's caught the gardening bug from me and does gardening projects with me and with her students and we both love to learn new things, so we have those things in common.
We discuss all sorts of topics on non-emotional levels and can disagree without fighting. She jokes that we take turns deciding that the other person is right in order to maintain harmony. Neither of us likes to fight, thsnk goodness. I can't stand people who try to pick fights with others rather thsn rationally discussing things.
I consistantly have been typed as INTJ. More recent typing services have added variants or tendencies to type which makes sense to me in terms of modeling the complex nature of human personalities. They say that I have the Harmonizer variant which softens my INTJ a bit into someone more in tune with others' emotions and more reluctant to 'ruffle their feathers', so that I don't fit the classical description as closely. I'll know when you are wrong, but will care enough about you to only tell you so if you insist that you want my honest feedback.
My wife self tests as either an ENFP, or as an INFP but isn't interested in going as far as a testing service

To answer the a-little-dirty-but-clean-enough clothes chair question: I have about 4 pieces of furniture for that. The makeup table my esfp mom bought me when I turned 16 to remind me of things (so I’ll leave sticky notes or random documents on there), the clothes couch, my desk that stocks the still-need-to-do-but-procrastinating pile of paper and, last but not least, the might-wear-tomorrow chair for neatly-ish folded clothing

My BiL is an ENTP. Can get on my/all of our nerves at times, but for the most part this is spot on. -INTJ

I'm an ENTP...I love INTJs❤ ... I hardly find people I can converse with deeply and I can be myself with an INTJ...I just love them

Never seen or heard of you before but during the first minute I realized that you secretly enjoy fkn with intjs and I was just smiling throughout the whole thing and laughing inside 😂 well done, I wish more people did that haha
3:21 man, this is refreshing 😂

Omg..... I forgot about the paper everywhere in the house, and the chair that anything made of cloth found a home on lolllll. The banter back and forth that anyone else listening to wd be offended by ! This was my deceased bf; I'm now realizing that I've not bn able to joke like that with anyone since. A whole lot opposite is prob why conversations were so interesting.

Love your videos, but one slight critique. Slow down by like 10-15%. Even as an ENTP who likes cutting to the point you talk really fast, plus you're editing leaves like zero room for me to pause and think about what you said. Stories and talks need peaks and valleys. The impactful moments hit harder when contrast with slower ones. *all love*

I had to watch your video on 2x speed because of the amount of random stuff you said in it... INTJ here. You did eventually get into the meat of the topic though so that's good at least.

“…when an ENTP and INTJ go head to head, it’s honestly probably one of the best conversations to watch!” For example: Batman and Joker
