Guy's the reason this song isnt in Smash is because Sakurai knows that Deer is the best route and doesn't want to spoil it. That or it's simply to powerful to be played on only the FE stage.

This track is on par with Twilight of the Gods from Echoes. Comes out of absolutely fucking *nowhere* and just haymakers your expectations for a final map theme and pumps the quality past 11 to the triple digits. The worst part about the Golden Deer route is that I'll never be able to experience it for the first time again. Deer was my first route, and this track absolutely blew my fucking mind when I first heard it. It truly felt like all my efforts had culminated to that moment. Fear the Deer.
I have to agree with the part about Golden Deer. This song was such a great culmination of the whole story line. It falls a bit flat on its own like this though, at least in my opinion. Part of its charm, for me at least, was the battle it played in.

I played The Golden Deer route first and Blue Lion second. I was like wait, hold on, that's it? Edelgard was trash, the real challenge was the myson or whatever throwing magic at you. Why are those who slither in the dark never defeated in the blue lion route? Golden Deer pretty beat the true cause of the war and prevent them from doing anything ever agian, AND THEN they fight Nemisis who is like 45 times stronger then Edelgard
I mean, it was actually a pretty tough battle in comparison to the rest of the game. The 10 elites all packed a pretty serious punch if you failed to hit and they got to counter, plus nemesis is like the only boss in the game that cant be one shot.
