    Thank you for the demo on the NOCOGB70 which I brought, and the best part was cleaning and protecting the battery terminal product..

    Great video. My wifes 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid was dead this morning, even though we drove it yesterday with no issues. I charged the 12 volt battery for over 2 hours. Nothing. No dash, no lights, nada. Since it is an all electric car we could not have put it into neutral to push it out of our garage. Well Ford Roadside Assistance sent out a local towing company to tow it to the Ford Dealer in town. He put this device on the battery and it started right up. I was seriously impressed. The car was towed to Ford for a new battery and I ordered this on Amazon Prime tonight. Will be here on Saturday. We have an 8.1 Suburban and I am hoping it will work on it too.

    Thanks for the followup - Seeing you start without a battery was pretty amazing :)

    Awesome video bro, exactly answered the question I’ve been searching everywhere for. I was wondering if it would start a 6-8 cylinder engine in the winter time without a battery at all and your video answered my question. Awesome, if it is going to start a V8 in the winter without a battery I think it’s the one for me. I bought the GB40 and it left us stranded at 4:30 am on a cold, wet, rainy January morning. Wouldn’t even crank the V6 one single full revolution with a battery in 35 degree temperature. I didn’t know if the GB70 would let me down or not but it seems like the one for me. Thanks

    I think the Noco GB70 or the GB150 are great products. If you buy the GBX75 it sucks. all of the X series have recharging issues that Noco can't seem to figure out. Stay with the GB series and not the GBX series. You will be happy.

    Great review I am actually thinking about getting Noco GB70 but also thinking about TopVision which is a lot smaller jumpstart pack with decent output based on Project Farm review

    Crew video quick question if I use the GB 70 and a very small battery or even a model cycle would’ve damage the motorcycle or the vehicle or the battery at all since it’s so powerful?

    Pt cruiser has two areas where you can jump your car but the cables on gb70 are to short, can you just it from the battery.

    If you can clamp the negative ( black ) to the engine block for ground.

    Side terminals on batteries suck. I would go with the NOCO 70 for the few extra bucks than the NOCO 40. If you remove your battery terminals make sure you know your radio code to reset your radio. Or keep the voltage going when removing terminals. Many radios have anti theft features and you will need the code to reset it. Dealers charge for this service. It could be an hourly rate

    7 F (-14C) @5:50 engine gave a bit of "grunt" but started well. Next time you make a video use a GO PRO mounted on you head or an assistant. Good info though!

    Awesome video. I just got a brand new GB70. Reading the manual it says to only use it on lead acid batteries. Have you tried this on AGM batteries? Will pick up some CRC battery cleaner and protectant!! :)

    • @aDIYCarGuy
      @aDIYCarGuy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not on this one but on the older ones, the batteries expand I believe, and split the case, but still work.

      Hondas do that when they're re-powered from a dead battery, I imagine some other brands do that too

    Dont f n mention bloody noco I had 2 one melted the other wouldn't charge 'all with I 27 month a in my opinion there crap 'it's wonderful what a bit of advertising does 'I wouldn't buy one with your money never mind my own 'they are far too expensive and they don't last 'I'm buying a cat portable power station for 97 £ at least if it goes wrong all you need is a replacement battery at 20 'no more lithium batteries for me ''''they are great when new but that doesn't last 'they go wrong very quickly

      I'm sorry that happened. 2 of mine are still working including the one in this video. Yea li ion is finnicky and some of them do blow and their life will severely depend on how they're kept and taken care of. I use these constantly, but I don't usually store them in the heat or cold for extended periods, although I have sometimes.

    This noco brand got more bad reviews then a bad restsurant on yelp.

    • @aDIYCarGuy
      @aDIYCarGuy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I see a lot of good reviews. People think these jumpstarters are witchcraft. People expect a GB40 to start a Mack truck.People don't take care of them, use them incorrectly, etc. They get tossed in a bucket in the back of a truck and left out 24/7. Just can't to that to a battery, properties of science still apply. I was going to have something in the video about this but decided not to.

      @@flatfac I have an obdeleven scanner can I do a load test with that.?, last time I went to a garage he did some tests and told me I had lost 2chambers? I know my scanner tells me there's low voltage in different modules I'm not sure which one is pulljn the most
