Hello, firstly amazing video! I just couldn't get my eyes off you. Noticed that your presence is really positive, and I admire that. I'm interested in becoming more charismatic and making others feel happier around me. Could you share some insights or tips on what you think contributes to your positive energy and the way you connect with others?
Hey this was a really interesting video. I never really thought about how psychology came about in the first place, so thanks for this :) also just a warning I may totally steal this idea with a "the birth of physics" video haha
hi, i am so happy and proud about this interesting summary of the evolution of psychology but guess what you just saved me because i was given this as an assignment from my lecturer and now i can smile to class
now that's a fucking youtube channel that deserves the most. thank u so so much for your time and creativity and amazing input and information. love you
Yes, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle... the difference between they and the modern psycology is that they, the ancients, dont separeted body and soul, it was more a holistic vision; if I am not in mistake. Very good video!
You're right! I actually put the wrong city. It's actually Leipzig, Germany. Not Zürich, Switzerland. This is noted in the description of the video as well.
It's great that you, someone has finally recognised Indian & Asian Philosophy of the mind! It does all predate Socrates and 'Non Dualism' is more of a dominant idea than dualism, although there are some Indian schools that adhere, to that. You might find the Skandas (Buddhist teachings) interesting in relation to introspection and deconstruction of thought. :-)
I have a theory that people with mental illness are plagued with this because they understand more, not because they are necessarily smarter but they are basically always thinking and considering. My theory is that the people who have mental illness have actually a higher capability of using their brain, as a sense more is 'unlocked' to use, but the person has little to no knowledge or capability of using that extra portion so it plagues them through life. As a sense this is also possibly completely wrong, and/or has already been proved partially or fully wrong by psychology or science or something else. However I still think it is an interesting point and can be considered.
Actually you're somehow right, it's been researched that metacognition in people with anxiety and depression is higher. That means that they have a "richer inner life" or more like they are more aware of what's going on with them (their mental states, thoughts, feelings, patterns behind them, and so on). So I don't know if that means they're smarter but they do have that "skill" more developed than other people.
Great Video ! A lot of knowledge transmitted really playful ! But there is one tiny mistake Wilhelm Wundt started his Laboratory in Leipzig and not in Zürich.
Guys, how do u define psychology as a science? Learned at school that is wrong to define only as science of behavior and mind, but also as the science of feelings. :-)
Got a history of psych exam tonight... thanks for the help!
Me too
I think it was Leipzig, Germany- where the first psychological laboratory was established by Wilhelm Wundt
Thanks! Very definitive and straight forward. I can’t wait to show this to my class!
Awesome! Thanks so much!! Let me know what they think.
Just started my classes and I have history of psychology . Trying to understand these concepts earlier before my lecture starts. Thanks !!!

For anyone who is seeing that some information is incorrect, look into the description of this video.
Where is Maslow and Pavlov D_D
Lovely video. But could I ask you which sources you used to get this info
You can check them out in the description
Great video! Just a slight note though; Abu Zayd Balkhi was from Balkh, Afghanistan, hence not Persian, but Afghan.
how did you make the Socrates face mask talking??
Nice! Saludos desde Uruguay!
Que padre! Gracias por verlo!
So an auditor, a cyberneticist, and a psychotherapist walk into a bar and the bartender says "I am calling child protective services." THAT IS ALL.
You know that Zurich is part of Switzerland, right?
Wilhelm Wundt - "... in Zurich, Germany ..." ?!?! Well it was in Leipzig and Zurich is not at all in Germany but in Switzerland ;)

pov ur trying to learn psychology in highschool
Guys, how do u define psychology as a science? Learned at school that is wrong to define only as science of behavior and mind, but also as the science of feelings. :-)
You're knowledgeable & freaking cute
Ok, so that''s where they made the wrong turn. Eros and Psyche are REAL PEOPLE, NOT pieces of the mind. So SAD, so evil.
And it was 1879 not 1874
Wow
you look like chris evans
Bro Zurich is in Switzerland not Germany haha
Great video but pleasee stop the puns😂😂😂
