    Like reusing old parts? Check out what we did with a bunch of old exhaust: th-cam.com/video/u0DMb7zX9lA/w-d-xo.html

    The only problem with that superglue is the gas is just going to eat it right off. I’ve learned that from experience.

      Yeah it was a really tight fit so I'm not really worried about the glue dissolving. I put it on for peace of mind for maneuvering it into the tank

    Nice!!! Makes me want to try this out. Never been fond of modifying the tank.

      That was my thought as well. The biggest challenge was getting a sock that worked on the fuel pump

    Good stuff. I drilled my fuel filter on the tank out and made a an8 fit into it. I like how you did yours 👍👍

      Yeah this is a really old tank so I wanted something pre-pump to prevent trash from going through the pump

    great stuff!!
    i'm trying to make an upside down version for a motorcycle gas tank, with the pressure regulator in tank too.
    this helped a lot to understand how it all gets put together.
    would you say those modular sending units are pretty sealed or more for upright use?

    Did the same thing with mine. Did you happen to use submersible fuel line? Guessing yours is since it came in kits for that purpose. My tank is still out and I’m tempted to replace the rubber line with fully submersible tubing.

    Gas melts super glue.

    • @PerpetualProjects
      @PerpetualProjects  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it does, but the glue was mostly for peace of mind for getting it all installed the sock fit very tight on the pump.

    For god's sake, get some proper insulators for those wires. Any chaffing and it will short directly in that gas tank, especially bumpy off-roading. BOOM, Fiery inferno, etc.... depending on fuel level and material of the tank.

    Was thinking of doing a similar modification on my build. Have you had any issue with fuel starvation at lower fuel levels? I was worried about that with my tank not having baffles. Great video

      To be honest we didn't drive it all that much. but the fuel supply shouldn't be much different than with the factory pickup.
