I never thought I would ever see an “edutainment” tabletop rpg adventure.
I'm glad you cover stuff like this.
I enjoy the original and clever World Building. I give the creator props for making such a unique world.
Sounds like this was not made by one of the mathematicians at NASA. If they can't get the math right for a single combat encounter, that's kind of sad. But the module sounds interesting overall.
Sounds like a game I'd enjoy.
In a parallel universe we are playing NASA games and flying to the space in Wizard of the Coast rockets!
Awesome! Yesterday, I had downloaded all the NASA TTRPG game documents…pretty good material, with a Tolkien-esque map of Exlaris, Aldastron. …I started creating the setting/terrain for it, as I imagine it…Looking forward to playing this, with our kiddos, once I return from a work trip later this week! :) Love it!
Haha I've just skim through the pdf and BAM you made a video about it.
PF2-Wise, I think that for a level 5 party the challenge would be ok-ish (considering it's the only fight of, not only the day but the adventure itself). Certainly not above (or make it 3 identical ennemies instead of one)
In 5e terms, the Challenge Rating would be an easy to medium encounter. CR 8 means a medium difficulty encounter for a party of 4 characters at level 8. So a fresh party at the recommended level range can be expected to win that fight without anyone dropping to 0 HP. I think it's meant to be a not-too-challenging climax to a module that's mostly there to get kids interested in space.
Come for the Pathfinder and stay for NASA.
Awesome review!! Thanks!!
Hey! did you see Daggerheart? it sounds intresting and I feel like it takes some small things from Pathfinder 2e, I would love to hear your opinion on the game
i mean, she coulda just went with Mondas and the rise of the cyber race from Dr Who and done some nice (and horrifying) sci fi of what a special will do to survive.
