i don’t think there’s anything wrong with a minimalist approach, it’s just a lot of brands just stray away from details and quality. They have this idea that all they have to do is place a big screen in the vehicle and call it a day, especially luxury brands. My thing is if that’s the formula, then a lot of luxury brands aren’t doing better than the basic ones. Like give me some stitching and high quality materials, shouldn’t be seeing a lot of hard/soft touch plastic or plastic in general. Like there’s only been two brands who i think have the minimalist approach and have done well and that’s Mazda (cx90/70) and Genesis. No they did not, they just switched things up in the team and Maximilian Missoni joined. Dukec will be at RR, Hooydonk stays on top. First Missoni influenced designs will be seen from 2029 or later.

And changing their leader won't suddenly change everything as the people mostly stay the same. Hate for new BMW designs has basically always been there, even before Bangle... Can we please stop with bland interior designs, tacky ambient lighting and slapping huge screens on everything and have proper materials for interiors.
Hard to believe it’s cold enough in Germany at the end of September to be wearing a jacket like that. It was 27 C (or 81 degrees F) on the east coast of USA today.
The northern half of Germany is at the same latitude as Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada. The southern half doesn't even reach down to New Brunswick.
All these people who called out for the design are just poor in taste. This is the best X3 I hv seen and the most important thing is, this is the fresh design language. Not repetitive unlike before. From the front grill, clean silhouette and super duper clean rear side design with new taillight. Is definitely superb. I bet it looks even better in person. Hope one day, can afford to test drive this bad boy. All you complainers, you can save your money in 10 years when youre finally glazing all over this model after youre mocking the newer designs like always
Great engine and handling as we can expact but really nothing else. So much cheap plastic inside. As a current X5 M50d owner and was thinking about getting this new X3 M50, having seen what the new SQ5 offers especially interior wise, sigh, hate to say but no way i am gonna spend my money on this X3.sigh....

I just feel the 2025 X3 is losing it character design compared to the 2024 X3. BTW, BMW needs to fix the rear cross traffic alert system. It is useless on my 2024 X1 M35i.

I feel you’re paying more but for less, apart from the technical specs etc, the design, both exterior and interior are just decent, not much excitement and almost boring,. Tge proportion, especially the side profile looks weird. The whole car just looks like the X1 on steroids, beefier version. Interior, nothing to shout about, its as though the designers were just lazy or simply running out of ideas, hence going towards this so called ‘minimalist’ BS. I guess its not easy to go down this route where previous designs have more charatersristics, dynamic and elegance.

I know this channel is very averse to leather seats and using animals hides in general which is a shame as the reviews, as comprehensive as they are, don’t mention the leather types mentioned (vernasca, merino...) on the seats and/or the other surfaces of the car like a leather dashboard, lower dashboard...etc
This G45 and the latest F70 are further proof of BMW’s cost cutting agenda! Both models are soulless, poorly designed and are manufactured with cheap materials. It appears that they are trying to fool their customers into paying more £’s for less car and then spending more £’s on expensive M-Performance accessories, making the car look like it should of been from the factory!
This car is just plain ugly, missing ratios + that front light design is like a cheap non premium brand that had to do it because others have it. The whole car is like a rushed up mess inside and outside.

As a current X3 g01 pre LCI owner, I'm not sure what to upgrade to. I wanted x5, but I expect it to be ruined as well.

I would not go for the M50 due to the high cost; however, I would get the MSport option because I hate the 2 spoke steering wheel in the base model.
