To be honest I tried the other day to do a small version of what she does because is only 3 people and 1 baby in my house, and I thought that it was going to be exasusting and it wasn't it was the same duration that any regular dinner with more variety I had more fun ,my husband loved it and the leftover were eaten at lunch next day we had 0 wasted, I guess I all about the recipe that involves fresh ingredients with thing we have in the pantry and because all looks so beautiful and tastes so good and is a combination of healthy and scrumptious that makes it work. My menu was ... her quick Mac and cheese, homemade chicken nuggets, one of her fresh salad and meat stew. I'm not Jewish but that was yummy.

My elderly mother lives with me and my vegan daughter, and she desires a bit of chicken and kosher fish every-so-often, as she has a restrictive diet (medically). Of course I honor her with Shabbat treats of the chicken soup and fish dishes. Thank you for sharing these recipes! For the Sirkanis, I use vegetable bouillon; and the salads are fabulous. I smiled at your comment about pureeing the vegetables, I used to put purreed squash in my doughnuts and rutabagas in my cakes (they never knew). My family is getting pretty tired of my Friday night salmon and this fish looks so good, I'm definitely going to try it. Sonya, Shavua tov from Jm. For this Shabbat, I tried your Sirkanis and it came out wonderful. I must add though... we don't use the chicken soup powder and I cut down on the oil. But it still came out so delicious!!! I also made your meatball recipe and as you said, they came out light, fluffy and yummy BH!!! I've been cooking for over 40 years, but it was so fun trying something new (especially since my DIL's family is Bucharian:)

I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You should try using a small ice cream scoop with spring lever to make your delicious meatballs. MUCH faster way to make cookies, meatballs, etc.
I can't wait to try these dishes. I am fortunate to live near a fish market where the fishermen dock and sell fresh fish right off the boat. I am very excited about the flounder dish for this reason. The seasonings you use are fantastic. Can't wait to try the fish dish first with the rice.

Sonya, I liked your fish dish. If you’re looking for a different Shabbat fish dish, try Moroccan spicy fish. It’s a common Shabbat dish for Sephardic Jews. It’s amazing!! You can easily look it up.
I just went to read up about cholent and variations. Before ovens the cholent was taken to the local baker the day before. I'm wondering if my mother's stove was designed for cooking cholent. A tall metal pot with a clamped cover was placed over th e pilot light for things to cook slowly over night. This was how she cooked our oatmeal for breakfast, white bean soup, maybe her delicious oxtail and barley soup was prepared this way.
Your kitchen and demeanour calm me when I have anxiety attacks. (That sounds creepy but it is simply a re-assurance that there is "good" out there).
