They changed the string spacing in 2008. Easier to play. Rickysounds wide and narrow nut make it even easier. 40/8 strings are great too. Easier to bend during solos.
1: 1993Plus and 660/12 models have a 1/8” wider nut width(1-3/4) for easier fretting due to more string spacing and increased fretting area. 2: you could change the nut in the C63 for a rickysounds nut, that places the octave pairs closer together to increase string spacing.

The Tom Petty 660/12 has a nice wide nut. Solid body but oh well...still gorgeous to play!
