Episode 926
All the residents except Ray (Neville Buswell), Maggie (Irene Sutcliffe) and Minnie (Margot Bryant) are back home. Dickie (Nigel Humphreys) tells Val (Anne Reid) about Albert (Jack Howarth) banging on their adjoining wall all morning. Sheila (Eileen Mayers) returns to the street to support Elsie (Pat Phoenix) at her trial. Hilda (Jean Alexander) plans to attend prompting Betty (Betty Driver) to accuse her of prying. A bedridden Albert complains about Audrey’s (Gillian McCann) breakfast. Jack (Arthur Leslie) recuperates in the Rover’s snug under Annie’s (Doris Speed) care with Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) reading to him. Elsie panics about the trial and Dot (Joan Francis) finally confesses to taking the dresses. Sheila overhears and is angry with Elsie for not dropping Dot in it. In court, Mr. Maddox-Smith (Sydney Tafler) offers a character reference. Elsie pleads not guilty and Chief Inspector Stanley (Michael Hall) presents evidence. Jack feels overwhelmed by Annie and Betty fussing over him. Audrey is frustrated by Dickie's indifference. Dot lies on the stand but Mr. Palmer (Michael Hawkins) casts doubt on her claims. Emily needs to have a drink after helping Albert. Elsie maintains her innocence and reveals Dot's confession. The magistrates led by the Chairman Magistrate (Antony Brown) go to deliberate.

Thanks for posting. It was a good storyline, but a somewhat sad ending for Dot and Elsie's friendship, I thought.

I honestly am past caring whether the channel goes or not. I’ve only kept uploading as it brings joy to others and that’s all I care about. I know that concept is unfamiliar in your puritanical existence and I pity you for it. You are free to report me until you are blue in the face if you so wish with however many alt accounts you decide to make if that’s what helps you sleep at night but please just leave other channels alone. Life’s simply too short for all this negativity.
