    As a fellow Sec Engineer, those are good certs to get people moving into towards cloud and staying security-minded.
    Good video overall, my only improvement critique would be to up your audio a bit more.

    If going the AWS route, Adrian Cantrill has, in my opinion, the best courses on AWS. I believe he has covered every exam or is finishing them up.

    I'm not new to IT. I'm working on transitioning. For me, acloud guru is good BUT too expensive. I went with CloudAcademy and have access to Pluralsidght through my employer. Currently working on Cloud Practitioner. Ultimate goal: cloud security.

    I have my Cloud+ from CompTIA and it is good for an entry-level cert. I would say it's at the level of a solutions architect, but just not vendor-related. It mostly goes into the technical side of cloud computing without using [insert AWS/AZURE/GCP] solution to do. Although, I don't think employers like it as much as a vendor certification.

      I don’t have experience with that one but it could be true!

    Hello Andrew, thanks for making this video. Trying to get into cloud security and these videos help me. What is the difference between a security engineer and a security analyst? Watching your cloud security engineer video, it seems like it is more of a software-oriented job that focuses on automation. Is the difference between an analyst is that they focus more on compliance/policies rather than the day to day creation of solutions? Keep it up!

    • @AndrewRoe
      @AndrewRoe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that's a good way to sum it up! Analysts do more of the day to day operations work. Engineers, create the solutions that require day to day operations work

    • @ahrisho
      @ahrisho 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sometimes the difference is very small as there is a lot of overlap. It's best to always read the job description to understand the work you'll be doing. In general, Architects design, Engineers build, and Analysts use.

    I'm a help desk tech but one day I will be a cloud engineer. I'm getting my az-500 next but you recommended AWS. Do you ever work with people who picked azure over aws?

    9:03 - 9:47 I'm aware that many employers, hopefully enough, praise candidates or employees for being well-rounded. Personally, especially during this generation, I can understand why. However, or inversely, how do you respond to the many employers who frown upon being a "jack of all trades" and/or a master of none?🤔

    • @AndrewRoe
      @AndrewRoe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know if I’ve come across any of those employers. Obviously you need to have your specialization in certain companies but, it’s nice to know a broad spectrum of topics.
