i think most pumps need to install flexible to pump inlet and outlet to isolate vibration from pumps being transferred to pipe and also strainer to pump inlet. and i do not think you should close discharge valve until pump driver is stopped.
nice presentation..but it should have also specified the proper sizing of the discharge pipe by controlling the discharge velocity at around 6-9 ft/sec to make it a better and perfectly accurate presentation.
