  • Wade and Butcher had a nice edge already but wanted to change the edge slightly. The stone gave the razor a very smooth and sharp edge.

Very relaxing, lovely big Sheffield, that one is easy on the eyes. Love your big Kopa, very nice. Great work, thanks.

    What a nice razor.
Have you tried using a rust remover eraser? There is a fine one that is gentle on the steel so you do not get deep scratches, but still works well to get shallow rust spots off the blade.
    Thanks for sharing.

I did a little bit of work with 2k sandpaper when I initially got the razor. It also had some minor polishing done by Doc when he was creating new scales. Could probably remove more rust with heavier work, but happy enough with the current results.

My biggest challenge with both of my Nakayama stones is dealing with the drag that can happen.
    I’m still working on it…

If they are stones you can hone in your hand, I would try a few strokes under running water if the razor is almost done. If I think I need more work, though, I will build up another slurry and try to keep enough at the end to prevent the drag. I have also in the past stropped my razor for 15/20 passes, and then I can do some final finishing strokes without too much drag.
