Why not just do the boxed cooler because that sets the voltage to spec 253w. I have this bios it's what i've been doing for a year and a half, and didn't have crashing like many others. These cpus already push as hard as they can. 253w s is enough. you can argue adding a small undervolt as well. Hey I just received a 14900K. Will you be doing a video on 14th gen possibly? If not, can I use most of these principles from this video? Any suggestions in general? Thanks
Hi there! First of all thanks for watching and thanks for asking:) I intend on doing a dedicated one for the 14900K but I have yet to get a CPU on hands! Of course, your content is great. Keep it up! Just gave it a watch, will definitely use these principles when I install. I figure I can use the same offset to start with since 13900k & 14900k virtually the same. Btw, do you have a video talking about PL1 and PL2? Something I'd like to learn more about but having trouble.@@ImWateringPSUs
This seems to have worked for my 13900KF which has crashed frequently in various games since I got my new computer a year ago. For a while I was sure it was just the particular games I played that were crash heavy, but the final drop was while playing Helldivers 2 the last two weeks at max settings perfectly, then seemingly crashing more over time. The crashes got to the point where I couldn't complete missions anymore. Then I found your other video on how to undervolt it. Temperature was definitely the cause as it hasn't crashed since I undervolted by -0.005 (-0.007 was blue screening me) and limited temp max to 90. So that's great, I managed to find a fix for the problem. But should I be worried for my CPU being damaged because of the increasing frequency of crashes I had before undervolting? Are there signs that clearly show CPU damage?
I’m really happy it was helpful! Thanks a lot for taking the time to leave some feedback :) Consider subscribing if you wanna support the channel! Nothing to be worries about
