    Also a secret mode called 'chicane mode'! Mirrors are simple to flip back above the bars, just a pinch bolt holding them on the bar ends.

      I'd be happy with the range of a typical gas bike, 150 miles to 200 miles at 80-90mph on the highway. NACS DC fast charging as standard with level 2 capability also integrated and I'd be set to go.

    They need more range for me to ever consider one, I do 112 miles each day just work and back, imo they need to make a bagger, weight doesn't matter so much since baggers are heavy anyway, and they have additional places batteries could be put to add range

      Before I bought my S2 Mulholland I was indecisive between the sportster S and the Mulholland. But after test riding bought, I loved the look of bought the bikes but leaned more towards the look of the sportster S due to its muscular look. However, I broke down the pros and cons and my ideal daily usage of a motorcycle and convenience the Mulholland ticks all the marks so I bough the Black on Black Mulholland and I love every single bit of it, especially on hot days I’m not cooking myself on a motorcycle lol 😂 but there’s a part of me that misses shifting gears and stuff but I can just go to a Harley or triumph dealership test drive one the bikes to numb my itch for gears lol 😂😂

      @@allanx31I’m glad you love it and had an opportunity to try both. They both are great bikes depending on what you’re looking for. You’re right about the heat, it gets super hot during summer with the engine and the high exhaust on the Sportster S. Which did you feel was quicker? It may be noise and sensation of engine but the Sportster S seemed a bit quicker. However the Mulholland definitely isn’t much slower and felt more agile and flickable.

    • @celestialparsnip
      @celestialparsnip 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Range is mentioned in the video. 73 miles highway. 121 city. Or you could take 5 seconds to Google livewire's website and get the information straight from the manufacturer. But obviously you're looking to be spoonfed, so I'll spend more time typing this out than you'd use to just search it out yourself: it seems the S2 doesn't support level 3 DC charging, but level 2 will get you from 20-80 in 78 minutes (also mentioned in the video) and 0-100 in 142 mins. Happy now?

    If you just want a commuter and your not going very far these can work. If you actually want to ride it with out waiting for a while to ride your bike these seem pointless. Your going to want to install a lv2 charger in your house lv1 chargers are going to take forever to recharge it. I really see electric bicycles being more practical than full on motor cycles. But hey ride what you like its just not something ill be doing any time soon.

    • @AdventuresonZero
      @AdventuresonZero 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      the idea with Level 1 charging is that you do it overnight, or while you're at work all day. You don't always have to ride to empty and then charge to full, and in most cases just a brief stop to get something to eat, use the head, sight see, etc - is more than enough time to charge the bike and keep riding.

    OC: Do the brake lights come on immediately after you let go of the throttle or only when you actually apply the brake? I did a test ride on both the Del Mar and the One. I preferred the Del Mar ergos and it seemed to be a bit smoother to me.

    I doubt they offer a “touring” model any time soon (read: minimum 5 yrs) when u can only travel 80 - 100 miles before u have to plug into the coal burning grid to obtain a full charge, so u may travel another measley 80 - 100 miles.
    If u only charge up to 80% u won’t even get 80 miles before u have to find a CEWOIKFT53917532 Type 1 plug w/Level 1 and 2 charging (good luck finding that) station.
    Also for the “touring” model their gonna have figure out how to transport 2 adults plus their gear (the weight) via these silly-ass batteries.
    U and I start on the eastern border of GA - u on this thing and me on my Honda Valkyrie (2nd Gen). It’ll take u at least 3 days to travel the 254 miles to the western GA border and by that time I’ll b half-way through MS - a full state and a half away.
    BTW - we will maintain the same speed: 75 - 80 mph.
    U’ll b sitting on ur butt while charging this thing more than u’ll b riding it.
    They really have mind-f*cked u ppl into buying this trash.
    Oh, Ye Suckers!!

    I would go beyond "doesn't make sense for touring".. This doesn't make sense for anyone who spends any appreciable amount of time on the highway. Like you pointed out, that 70 miles of range is at 55 mph, which basically excludes any kind of freeways and limits you to getting everywhere that isn't urban.
    Like, I frequently go to a friend's house to play DnD, which is a 40 mile drive, most of it being 70 mph. So I could never take this bike to game, because I would likely have an empty battery when (or possibly before) I arrived, and I'm not going to ask my friend to pay for the electricity to get home (aside from the fact that it probably wouldn't have time to charge enough to even get home at all).
    The alternative is to avoid highways, which increases the one way trip to 50 miles.... so I still would need a charge before I would be able to get all the way home.
    Unfortunately the range of electric bikes is just short enough that if you do more than a few miles on the highway, it's just not going to be feasible. Electric bikes are pretty solidly limited to the urban rider.
    That said, if I lived in a more urban area (I'm currently 20 minutes of highway from the closest urban area) I would be all over it.

    • @Zee216
      @Zee216 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      At 50 miles below highway speeds you could likely make that trip, especially if you were willing to charge at your friend's house for an hour, it would be like 10-20 cents worth of electricity, but yeah whether this bike makes sense will depend heavily on individual use cases

    Electric bikes.. vehicles in general need a good decade more tech development.. the only place they make sense is a large congested cities... our highways are too big for a 75 mile and 55 mph range... average highway speed is 70.... Secondly the infrastructure isn't here
