What they look like on the outside is unlikely to mean anything unfortunately, they can have 1 of at least 3 different chips inside regardless of the shell. I even bought one that specifically said which chip it used(as it should've been the best chip option), only to find that even then it didn't have that chip when I opened it. Personally I wouldn't use their driver CD at all, as driver CDs often contain viruses, and you don't need any driver software. They're basically always "UVC" capture cards, which means they conform to a "USB video device class" standard, so don't require drivers. This is why they also work on phones that support USB OTG. Often the best use for these cheap capture devices is actually for capturing audio only, if you have one which is genuinely stereo(some have supposed left & right connectors, but only capture audio in mono). They can be very good for capturing audio from a line level out from a cassette deck etc.
Did you have any problems with EasyCAP using the Android phone? Do you know which chips those USB cards have under the plastic covers (UTV007, STK1160 or others)? Nice video, thanks.

I purchased Easycap. Video shakes most of the time. Needs tracking by VCR/VHS video player every few minutes. Any solution?
