And I remember going with him and mom to get the truck ready, hanging out at the shop with the mechanics and riding along with him on some of his loads even though he wasn't suppose to bring us. Keep up the great work, and I love what your doing with the channel and your business.

Find an honest shop in your area and take whatever truck in to get looked over. It's not hard to know if parts have recently been replaced or if they're just lying to sell a truck. Obviously newer parts will look newer. Bolts/nuts often will have marks on them from being removed, etc. Take the "rebuilt" engine for example. It was supposed to be a frame out rebuild. The engine would have been much cleaner, painted better without overspray on parts that shouldn't have paint on them, likely had new boots on the IC connections, new hoses, etc. Never met someone who'll spend the money on a "premium out of frame rebuild" and reuse old wear items. It's also very easy to see if an engine has excessive blow by, with a simple test. Remove the oil cap and the blow by will come out of the oil filler. I've seen caps set in the hole and the blow by make them bounce around. They even make simple pressure testers for this. Same thing with the cooling system. Make sure you get the truck to operating temperature, run it under load and without, etc. If that guy would have done some research, he'd have seen all the red flags. Or he could have spent a few hundred dollars for someone to inspect it, and it would have saved him thousands. The biggest thing is to not let your emotions override your brain. It's easy to get attached to an idea or style truck, think it's a clean truck from the pictures, and realize it's not as great in person. Then you start thinking "I've drove 3hrs, got excited, it's really not that bad, they're small issues, etc" and you buy it even though you really knew better and after a couple weeks, you realize you should have listened to your gut feeling. I bought my 2005 Tundra out of SC, in the dark/rain, and didn't spend the time looking underneath that I should. The frame looked good without any rust that I could see, but I failed to notice the back plates and bottom of the bed rusted to hell. The truck was very clean otherwise and I only discovered it later on. It was my fault and thankfully it's only cost me a bunch of time and headaches that come with working on a truck that spent time on salted roads.

Man he's gonna be a big strong boy when he grows up. Can see he comes from good genes on both sides. My hat always goes sideways too. No matter how straight I set it, in 5 minutes it's off center.

Man dude this is awesome I'm a fairly new subscriber but I'm 54 years old I grew up in the 70s and '80s my dad was a whiskey hauler out of Tulsa Oklahoma so all I've ever rode in were cabovers and I love them my whole family except me ended up being truckers my younger brother owned his own truck and my oldest brother hauled hazardous materials I'm the black sheep I chose to ride a horse and make my living cowboy but I still love them trucks and I love riding inside keep it up best of luck and blessings to your family
