    How much is the electricity and water or is it included in the rent?

    • @TomTripsOut
      @TomTripsOut  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Electricity is usually 0.25/kw - normal in a month for utilities is like $20-30 bucks id say

    I know when I get there I'm going to be getting me an apartment and most of the apartments there do not have a physical address. And that is my dilemma.

      I did some googling around I found a template thing. www.upu.int/UPU/media/upu/PostalEntitiesFiles/addressingUnit/khmEn.pdf - but yea I’m not too sure about that stuff.

    Hi Tom my name is Craig. I currently live in America I plan to move to Phnom Penh next year and I'm needing help with information. maybe you can help me. I'm 63 years old and I get social security disability. I know when I get to Phnom Penh that I will be getting a bank account at ABA Bank. I have to fill out a form for my social security so my checks can be Auto deposit there. But I don't know how to fill out a Cambodia address on this form can you help me by giving me an example. Social security administration needs a physical address. And I can't find an example online or maybe I'm reading it wrong. So if you could help me I would really appreciate it brother.

    Hi enjoying the videos. I’m coming to Cambodia in February to do my Tefl with avse. How much help did they give you in finding a job afterwards? With no degree do you think i will still be able to get a decent salary?

    • @TomTripsOut
      @TomTripsOut  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They got me a job as I graduated. I went thru AVSE too. I do not have a degree either. You can expect like 1250 a month if you are Native english speaker. Have you signed up already??? You can use my name as a referral Thomas Dallan if you are still finalizingthings

    Hi Tom, that’s a cute apartment, one or two people on a small budget can live there. What is hard for me is the wet shower. Why can’t they put the shower at the end so that you can at least enclose it with a shower curtain or something. How did you find that apartment in the first place? Did someone from school help you look for it? What street was it at? And what was your reason for wanting to change to the new place? How much is the new place?

    • @TomTripsOut
      @TomTripsOut  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I found that place online on a site called Khmer24. It was off street 2004. Im changing to the new place to be closer to work and to upgrade. The new place is a condo for $300 a month. It will be my next video

    What is the most touristy area of Phnon Phen for a first tome traveler to Cambodia?

    • @TomTripsOut
      @TomTripsOut  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Riverside area for sure. Or Central Market

    Tom , love the apartment, I just have a quick question, did you get the apartment first or the job first?
    I like your channel and I have been thinking about coming to Cambodia to teach English for several years now. Do you think that Internal TEFL Academy prepares you well enough to be an English Teacher?
    Thanks 👍 -Steve

    • @TomTripsOut
      @TomTripsOut  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      International Tefl Academy is great, but what they do is line you up with their partner school in whatever country you’re going to. In Cambodia the school is called AVSE. Its government accredited and its the course I did. They help you get a job coming out of the course and you make friends in your class. I Would recommend doing the course in person in Phnom Penh. - If you’re Interested look up AVSE and check it out. Let me know and I can help you to sign up because if you use my name as a referral we both get a deal.

      Stop procrastinating man. Just go and everything will fall into place within a few months. Tefl cert programs will never do enough to prepare you. Best way to learn is to throw yourself into a classroom.

    What docs do you need to find a home?

    • @TomTripsOut
      @TomTripsOut  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nothing. You view the place, and pay first and last. They dont require anything.
