This add on creator brought TH-cam thumbnails that we used to get clickbaited by as a kid, and turned it into reality. Huge props to you, my good sir. 👏
The shading issue is a Minecraft problem. Something that the add on makers cannot change. The reason the hidden doors aren't shaded is because they're entities, not blocks. Blocks get the ambient occlusion shading. Entities do not. So until entities can have ambient occlusion, these doors will always be noticable.
I agree, I don’t understand why creators make an add on like already on the marketplace. Can’t see people buying another of the same type of add on unless it it offers something really unique, this one does, the elevator bock and I am tempted to get this add on just for that block! Don’t like the fact the doors still don’t seamless blend in with like blocks. They need to change that the remote opens any door in the area. Keep up the amazing content! Hey ecko, have you tried lighting up the blocks around the doors? Because the textures are (mostly) the same, but it doesn’t look right because of the natural Minecraft shading I think, but I think if you have some torches near it won’t be as noticeable Ok yea I think it might be that, because the iron door was directly in the sun, so you couldn’t see the shading which made it fit in
Still waiting for villager pick ups, A new type of useful wandering trader, A village builder ( say it will create a village of any style house and workshop with a village of a specific biome brought forth and placed into house, sky villages, mobs that mojang forgot, better selection of spawner , A mod that allows one to move geode crystals so we can grow crystals close to home, ability to find structures without going creative, bonsai hopper collection plants, A chicken mod add on, A farmers delight add on ( cows, pigs, and chicken with different types maybe even a new villager type that does what a player would do filling a specific type of chest, farm structure that are self building with correct materials like barns a silo)
Security++ has more secret doors (Chest secret door bed secret door tree secret door and wall, floor, and stairs... and more) it also has security stuff like laser and more. Also, it is the same price so yeah.

They don't line up cause you're using two different blocks, bookshelf and oak planks. Just saying. But you're right about the shading, it's a huge negative with ai the secret door add-ons. I'll keep using Redstone to make my own doors

It's the shadows that make the doors look weird.

The shading is a minecraft bug because minecraft cant render entites like blocks and the creator cant change that code
