I love this perfume, got it and wear it. Always got compliments and colleagues could smell me from a long distance.... Only one person didn't like it. Yes you are right it won't be for everyone. It is strong, projects well and correctly said, like tropical, peary, appley smell if I recall. I haven't worn it for a while so saying from top of my head.
I own this. 2 sprays max. I left my sweatshirt that I wore in the lower part of my home. Went downstairs the next morning and the scent was evident in the room from the sweatshirt. Amazing projection.

Erba Pura smells nauseatingly synthetic waxy plasticky tacky fruits on me when I wear it in the humid heat of Singapore. But in dry extreme heat of Dubai, it turns magical, alluring, and huge compliment getter. I’m flabbergasted! Maybe you can help me figure out why that happens? Which note / ingredient changes so much? And how to avoid expensive mistakes in the future.

I tried loving erba pura, but there is something within it that reminds me too much of hair shampoo. i can’t deny that the performance is monstrous though. i personally prefer arabian oud madawi or kajal lamar for tropical and fruity fragrances.

I actually loved it. But didnt like the tropical fruit note. If it got rid of that and was more natural Sweetened with sweet orange. Manderine, Ylang Id loved it!

Love your videos. I'm a retired male and tested this with my college age daughter. We both had the same reactions and takeaways. Mainly, it's a fruit cocktail scent that dominates with vanilla. We did not hate it, but we could not understand who would want to smell like this? What occasion would anybody want to smell predominately like a fruit salad? And pay this much to do so? I really like the Xerjoff house and have the Special Monkey, Naxos, and Torino 21. But, I'm not sure what demographic they were targeting here. Thank you for your great work and for teaching about fragrance.

Anyone know what ingredient here gives off that VERY sharp metallic smell that some people pick up? I can smell the creamy topicals but that strong metallic smell is taking over!!! It is same as my experience with Another 13, also a strong metallic smell. Must be an ingredient that both perfumes have. Must be a base note too coz it lasts very long. Is it Ambroxan? What could it be?????
I think I know what you mean, I don't think it is Ambroxan, as I find Baccarat Rouge pretty nice, but Erba Pura is so pungent I have to leave the room when I smell it on someone... it smells like hairspray for me kinda. I love your reviews, however, on this particular scent, you may consider to provide us with a “part 2” review off this scent, once you have reached the dridown. I will be curious to hear your feedback on that. I bought this parfume based on the positive reviews. Big mistake indeed. It’s true, the opening of the parfume is excellent , but few hours later, I simply cannot stand it, the smell becomes very sharp, and I feel like I am choking almost, and the people around me. From my point of view, this parfume is a “MUST TRY BEFORE YOU BUY”

You are absolutely right with your review!! For many I know and for me, this fragrance DNA is a no-go :D Fruits are too plastic and artificial. There is white musk in the base, which makes me think of harsh hairspray. When I smell Erba Pura, I think of the song "Barbie Girl" by Aqua: "...I'm a Barbie girl, in the Barbie world Life in FRUITYplastic, it's fantastic You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere Imagination, life is your creation Come on, Barbie, let's go party...." 😂
Our local radio station played Barbie Girl on endless repeat a long time ago as part of a charity effort; they'd stop playing it after they raised a certain amount of money. I think it traumatized half our city.

I've sampled 354 fragrances to date and only nine fell to an "F" grade. This was one of them. I describe it as "candy store on fire" with the blaze beginning in a smoky amber plastic fruit bowl. Godawful shite. But... diversity is life and I'm glad you found a way through the fire.
Horrible. I get a nausea-headache just cuddling up to my husband when he wears this. It smells of cliched 'aftershave' from the 1980s mixed with a really vile, astringent fume of rotten citrus, toilet cleaner and ultra tart sour apple. Sample immediately chucked. I don't understand the hype and good reputation of this one at all. I feel in a minority in despising this, the same way that I detest Ropion's 'masterpiece' Portrait of a Lady. That one is a blast of bug spray on me, the mixture of cloves, raspy rose and the kind of patchouli interaction I dislike. I love hearing and reading other people rave about things I intensely dislike though. Each to their own.
My disgust for this fragrance can not be understated. It doesn’t smell like fruit to me it smells like chemicals and something like sand. I smelled mace once (in college we had pepper spray & sprayed it on the wall just messing around). This smells similar to that. It’s bizarre to me that it smells so different to me that other people especially because I love tropical fragrances. But this doesn’t smell ANYTHING like fruit to me. I’m not the only one experiencing this if u look on Fragrantica

I have a decant that is still half full..to me Erba Pura reminds me of all the hotties from the 1990's ..it literally smells like the female club frags that I remember..even my own mother had something that smelled like this tropical cocktail..it wasn't good on me..but I can understand the appeal..

Its funny that is Xerjoff Erba Pura the one having all the credit for great clones of this DNA as Bharara King when the original one is Kirke of Tiziana Tirenzi, and even a known “erba pura clone” wich is Amber Oud Gold Edition was released before the xerjoff fragrance. Should be Kirke having the credit but its true that Erba Pura took the dna and make it better.
Don't spry it on your clothes. It has layers upon layers need long time to unfold. Never more the 3 sprays. Try under the clothes and let the perfume project in BITS AND PIECES and hopefully the 'DOWNSIDE'of this perfume settle down. Trail of this scent made people crave for it.🙂
very very very disappointed with erba pura, on paper it sounds awesme, fruity, tropical, citrus, and sweet, sounds like the perfect summer fragrance, but its just a synthetic mess, smells absolutely horrid and im glad i got a decant of it because it is easily one of the worst fragrances ive ever smelt

This is a bomb! I had it and loved it! It lasts easy 14 h+ and projects nice for at least 4h. It does smell like a torquoise drink.

I started following you recently and loves Erba Pura. Everyone says even you that it’s feminine, I wonder if there is a problem in my choices as I just loves this on myself. Really confused. Highly appreciate if someone or you respond 😢

I've sampled 354 fragrances to date and only nine fell to an "F" grade. This was one of them. I describe it as "candy store on fire" with the blaze beginning in a smoky amber plastic fruit bowl. Godawful shite. But... diversity is life and I'm glad you found a way through the fire.
Horrible. I get a nausea-headache just cuddling up to my husband when he wears this. It smells of cliched 'aftershave' from the 1980s mixed with a really vile, astringent fume of rotten citrus, toilet cleaner and ultra tart sour apple. Sample immediately chucked. I don't understand the hype and good reputation of this one at all. I feel in a minority in despising this, the same way that I detest Ropion's 'masterpiece' Portrait of a Lady. That one is a blast of bug spray on me, the mixture of cloves, raspy rose and the kind of patchouli interaction I dislike. I love hearing and reading other people rave about things I intensely dislike though. Each to their own.
My disgust for this fragrance can not be understated. It doesn’t smell like fruit to me it smells like chemicals and something like sand. I smelled mace once (in college we had pepper spray & sprayed it on the wall just messing around). This smells similar to that. It’s bizarre to me that it smells so different to me that other people especially because I love tropical fragrances. But this doesn’t smell ANYTHING like fruit to me. I’m not the only one experiencing this if u look on Fragrantica

I have a decant that is still half full..to me Erba Pura reminds me of all the hotties from the 1990's ..it literally smells like the female club frags that I remember..even my own mother had something that smelled like this tropical cocktail..it wasn't good on me..but I can understand the appeal..

In enjoy many Xerjoff fragrances (Naxos, Comandante, Golden Dallah, Uden Overdose, Decas, Renaissance, Alexandria II), but this one is not for me.

On me Erba Pura was stickily sweet. Obnoxious. I couldn't stand all that sugary sweet. It gave me a headache...

Its funny that is Xerjoff Erba Pura the one having all the credit for great clones of this DNA as Bharara King when the original one is Kirke of Tiziana Tirenzi, and even a known “erba pura clone” wich is Amber Oud Gold Edition was released before the xerjoff fragrance. Should be Kirke having the credit but its true that Erba Pura took the dna and make it better.

It has layers upon layers need long time to unfold.
Never more the 3 sprays.
Try under the clothes and let the perfume project in BITS AND PIECES and hopefully the 'DOWNSIDE'of this perfume settle down.

very very very disappointed with erba pura, on paper it sounds awesme, fruity, tropical, citrus, and sweet, sounds like the perfect summer fragrance, but its just a synthetic mess, smells absolutely horrid and im glad i got a decant of it because it is easily one of the worst fragrances ive ever smelt
