I had chased her all day that day. Unfortunately I didn’t know where to go for the junction so I just stayed at Jim Thorpe till she had left. And in the last part I was actually down just past the port Clinton station watching her leave, such an amazing loco

There's something about the woof woof bark of the smokestack and the whoo whoo of the whistle that a diesel can't replicate. R&N has a lot of diesel powered excursions, but when steam is running it's a treat. I rode behind 2102 again for the third time in my life last October 1 from Reading to Jim Thorpe. Now they have the crown coaches painted in red with the RBMN name on them, we rode in a crown coach last year when they were brown and orange I believe from the previous owner in Colorado. I also rode behind 765 from Bethlehem to Pittston Aug 22, 2015 as well as Lewistown to Horseshoe Curve May 25, 2013 with my late mom who passed away last year on June 14 in the hospital because her lungs were weak and they had her tubed. The NS excursions had no open windows, I prefer riding behind steam with open windows. Most of the coaches on the NS excursions were 1940's-1950's streamline coaches with roller bearings and sealed windows and they didn't want open vestibule doors unless the crew had to open them. NS is now out of the excursion business again but will escort 765 and 611 to other railroads.
