Good stuff! A lot of great shots! Audio is awesome too!
Thank you!
Awesome! I rode behind her and you probably saw me in the first car on the way to Tunkhannock (I had the phone with the clear case). It was an awesome ride and I hit 1K subs on it!
One of the best videos from last Saturday! Can’t wait to make it to the August rambles.
Thank you!! It was a blast! You’re Gonna have a great time!
Great catches awesome chase and capture and nice video
Thank you!
Very cool video. I like the shot of NRFF 5018 and 5019 pulling R&N 2102 and it reminds me of the scene from the Berkshire productions video of the Southern Pacific diesels lashing up front of SP 4449
I agree and Thank you!
I rode behind 2102 on this and I’ll tell you it was so much fun
It looked like it!
@@SteelandSteamProductionsyou bet!
I rode this trip yesterday, it was the first passenger train I've rode pulled by a steam locomotive in 4 years, and it was awesome!
It looked like a Great time!
@@SteelandSteamProductions it was! I got a picture with Ross rowland!
Your video looks awesome!
Thank you!
Incredible shots! It was nice chasing with you.
You as well fine gentlemen 🫡
Great video. I subscribed as well!
Thank you!
Man, that Reading 6 chime is _loud_.
Me and my friends and family were in and near Tunkhannock filming this excursion. It was super annoying that we didn’t know the departure time for it to go back to Nesquehoning. So me and my gramma ended up racing the thing all the way from Tunkhannock to past the Falls bridge. What an exciting day
They were definitely running a little behind after the wye.
Imagine one day if the R&N does a long excursion from Reading Outer Station to Tunkhannock too!
That would be awesome!
Fantastic shots!
Thank you!
Nice video! I’m probably going to catch her or ride her on August
Have fun!
I would have gone to see this had I known about it, where can I find out about future trips, My grandfather worked at the Reading Railroad fo 50 Years!
Here’s there website! www.rbmnrr-passenger.com
I believe there is another ramble coming soon as well!
Big fan of Steel and Steam Productions. Possibly the biggest, can't wait for the day you hijack one of these. (I have been forced at gunpoint to like this)
💀
Let's hope that #2124 is restored to operation one day too!
I was on that train!
I was in coach 215
Awesome!
10:16 rare shot of 2124.
Why were there 2 diesels in front of 2102 for some of the trip?
I believe it’s because that part was all down grade so it was to try and save the breaks on 2102 don’t quote me though could be wrong.
@@SteelandSteamProductions You're right, and dynamic braking.
What happened at the end there in the cut?
Red Signal. We stopped a minute or two. Then they gave the go ahead.
something with signal issues as he said they moved out shortly after
I was on the train. The dispatcher lost control over the two signals before Jim Thorpe Jct., so they had to stop at each one to get permission past the stop indication (on CSX it's rule 234A) and proceed at Restricted Speed (either 15 or 20 mph depending on whose rule book they are using) to the next signal, then stop and get permission past again. We lost about 12 - 15 minutes there at the end because of that. I was concerned, as a former Class I engineer, that it was more than just a signal issue, that they were setting up to banner test the engine crew (put a sign in the middle of the tracks in a blind curve with red lights and flags on it which is supposed to represent a train, and the engineer has to stop in half the sight distance to it) , which would have delayed the train further. And yes, passenger trains are subject to that efficiency test, even Amtrak trains. Rule of thumb is that every engineer is supposed to be tested on average every year. Fortunately it was just a signal problem and the engineer handled it with absolute professionalism. It was a great crew all-around.
restricted speed is not 15 or 20 mph, those are the limits that cannot be exceeded. Restricted speed is a speed that will permit stopping within one-half the range of vision. In many cases 15 to 20 is too fast. Stop and Proceed signals, (if that was the case) should not be a reason for concern. Anyone who has or works for the industry knows that
@@joseescamilla6778 Yes I know that, I was trying to keep the explanation as basic as possible.
Support RT the acquisition of the Shamokin Valley RR by the Reading and Northern
Fun fact: this came past my house at speed heading back
Do you mind if I ask what kind of microphone you use? The audio was nothing short of awesome
I just just the mic that’s in my camera! Sony FDRAX700/B FDR-AX700 4K HDR Camcorder
Great film 🎥
