Quite a nice draft for us, I think. Definitely surprised to see you take Mr. Fox with that profile, I probably would've done the same if the 3B Cesare Wil wasn't on the board, he looked quite good.
I'd absolutely explore our options for bringing Mr. Mancina on board for the rest of this year, I don't think Godina is a butcher at 2B and it would make our offense absolutely absurd.

Thanks, I think that is the way I am leaning. I'll be complaining about the hits I take to fan interest in the offseason when Mancina joins Weiss, Galik, and Saldana as likely departures, but the goal is to do everything possible to win another World Series before that might happen!

Given the less than stellar arms in the draft I think you came away with a nice group OSS. As you say, Gorna can always be shipped off to college, so it is worth the “modified flier” on him. I noticed on the review that both Godina and Richards have more walks than strikeouts, so perhaps one low contact guy is not going to kill us. 😉
On another subject, I have been musing about what OOTP 26 will bring that is new; part of me doesn’t want to see another wholly new mechanic like last year’s Dev Lab, but Andres & Co. do have a pretty good handle on things, so I am looking forward to their reveal. 🤔

Thanks! And good point on the new version of the game. I would not mind at all if they just skipped all new enhancements for a version and put all their attention into tightening up things that are currently in the game. But I know that having something new is probably helpful to sell the new version to a lot of the buyer base...

With that recognition by OOTP AI on your pitchers for the Prospect game you look to be solid for years to come on pitchers. Maybe good since the pitcher talent have been lacking in the last couple of drafts.

I can't believe you didn't take googley-elmo just based on name value alone
All together a solid draft, wish there had been better pitchers available but the position players look solid

Ha, good point! I regret missing out on the pitcher Eggleston a bit, other than that I have no real regrets...

I don't think signing Mr. Goma is a prudent decision, I think making a profit for Mr. Fisher (even though he doesn't deserve it) is important in hopefully getting an increase (or even just remaining constant) in our budget, and the player is nothing special. Certainly not worth the money he would cost. If the cost of Mancina isn't too high, I think he would be a very intriguing option, even if that does screw over the budget. I think he brings a lot more value than a middle of the pack prospect.

Yeah, I think I agree. I wouldn't mind having Gorna in the organization, but if it means our budget drops down to $195 million because of it, it's probably not worth it. And at least spending some money to bring Mancina on board gives us a better chance of having a long postseason run where we can make up for that and still deliver a profit. Plus, I think there is a path to include a couple middle of the road prospects that I am unlikely to be able to protect from the Rule 5 this offseason to get the Rockies to retain some more of Mancina's salary, which would limit the hit to our bottom line further...

      @@oldschoolsports If that's the case, I think that's a deal I'd like to make

Have you never thought on Saldana as a new stopper. He got many good pitches and he might move his stamina up a bit over time. Still a high cost for that role. Heilman looks to have worked fine as a closer so why move him.
Then sadly my watching your A's rise to a dynasty lately are filled with missed episodes, so not the best to give advice. Maybe too many episodes but more likely that I think you have taken this team to your goal and far beyond.
