I bought the vintage espresso machine model many professional features, copper boiler copper grouphead, brass pump, very professional steam wand and loving everything about it, still learning very happy with my decision, owned and used everyday, very good quality 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Making coffee "Doug style!" This review gave me some laughs and made me smile! We need more genuine and awesome reviewers like this guy. Stay awesome brother! 🙂
Just ordered one. An upgrade from my pumpless $30 machine that relied solely on boiler pressure to push water through the puck. It would overheat partway through an extraction and I'd have to vent steam through the frother...it was a real song and dance, but when the stars were aligned, it would pull a decent shot. But it died today after pulling a shot. I'm not tearing down and troubleshooting a $30 espresso machine, so I ordered this. Splurged and got a decent tamper, frothing pitcher and espresso and latte sized double wall glasses. Just under 200 clams for everything. Used to do IT for a high end coffee company, so I know the theory, and I'm sure this will make my shots a lot more predictable.
I used my crap machine daily - had to impose a once a day quota on my wife's lattes, or it would have been more like three times a day. Once you get your routine down, its hard to go back to drip coffee.
@@Magic_dawnThe porta filter drops into the basket. The basket is much heavier than the filter, so it has substantial thermal mass. So, it will cool the shot slightly, though since it's cooled after the extraction, I don't think it matters overly much.
@@mykarma2 ye the portafilters on these machine give all the pressure to it but after having it for a while if you grind it up just a little more the coffee taste a little better but it’s nothing to ride home about

That is a steal!
Well done!!! Fantastic explanation!!
Thank you so much!
tip...you want to preheat with the basket youre going to use for the shot. if not, the cold basket will cool down your espresso shot as its extracted
This made no sense, Whats a basket?

Get finer grind beans
You can do that, I'm a causal drinker...the bag said made for these machines and that's enough 4me
Can I use regular coffee instead of espresso coffee? Secondly, can I make ground cacoa in this machine?
Yeah but that's being corny, it just won't be as strong, not sure about the 2nd thing cause that's not something I would make

what?? there is no "creama" on top of that espresso pull? Not great.
Put it on yours 🤷🏾
I gotta get me one of those Blackstone as well!!
