We bought a 2019 Volvo S60 several months ago, in the Fall of 2019. Zero regrets.
Driving it, or even riding in it, is a wonderful feeling. Looking forward to enjoying it for years.
I'm pretty picky, and so far, have found no defects. Wonderful, "Swedish" feeling to it. About the only thing that has me scratching my head is the thickness, or rather thinness of the floor mats. Not a big deal though as the interior is really quiet (got a flat tire and was amazed to see foam inside the tires...designed to further quiet the ride...not sure they all come with these tires)
Ours does have the 4 zone climate control (climate controls in the back seat). The upgraded Bowers & Wilkins sound system is fantastic (audiophile here).

What would your review be now 2 years later? Looking to purchase the 2019 specifically in spring/summer 2023.

@@savageaustin19 Two years and just under 19k (mostly city) miles into the ownership experience -
      Repairs
One check engine light early in 2020 (cleared by a Tucson dealership and was told nothing was wrong (?)). The light hasn't returned.
Sun roof wind deflector spring clip broke in 2021. This prevented the roof from closing unless I pulled down the deflector manually as the roof closed. Was told by El Paso dealership, who fixed it in under an hour, this sometimes happens.
MPG: Experiencing 21-24 in the city; 32-34 on the highway. We have the Inscription T6 (turbo and supercharger).
      Impressions -
      Pros
      Handsome car, inside and out
      Smooth power delivery
      Beautiful and comfortable leather seats
Lots of higher-end features for the $
      Good Android phone app
      Cons:
Suspension, though well designed, can't offset the bumps the 19 inch Pirelli tires transmit into the cabin. I wish I had insisted on the 18s.

Prior to this had the Mercedes C-Class (2015). Got this car, not the R-design but the awd with 316hp super charger and really love it. Not crazy about touch screens in general but the one in the Volvo is very nice. Works great with Apple CarPlay. I got Sygic maps which also works with Apple CarPlay which I like better than the Volvo GPS.

Nice. I think the touch interface on the volvos is one of the best in the industry.

Good review. Test drove this and was very impressed with the ride quality and fit n' finish. Very good value in the European import, small to mid size sedan market. The model I tested had 315 HP and sips the gas. Volvo should sell a lot of these units, as they will only sell the R model moving into 2021 and no longer the Momentum or Inscription. Hope to see you do another review for the 2020 model year..

They're going to stop selling the Momentum and Inscription lines next year? Seems like an odd decision unless it's just to try to consolidate the models...

I believe the power trunk lid and interior mood lighting are available only in the Inscription trim.

    • @gwgrote5
      @gwgrote5 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Revenan7: I believe you are correct. However, the R design historically (even with the old Volvo's) included all the options, blue leather seats and blue illuminated dials. Volvo's climate package included heated seats, wipers on the headlights, winter mode, After 2000, the packages got confusing, plus it was owned by Ford for a few years. Although Chinese businessmen own Volvo now, the workers and factories remain the same. The S90, which I'm still not sure how I feel about it, will be made in China. This S60R T6 that George is reviewing is made in the US.

Excellent review George, did you drive an S60 without sport chassis? And if so did it ride much better? Was the handling affected a lot? Thx man
