Thank you so much Jason. I am an old beginner and I discover your chanel recently. Great lessons, easy to follow. Explanations are fantastically clear. With your 12 bar serie and this one, you open my mind and I hope my hand will follow. You are a great teacher. Thank you for your job.
I graduated from BERKLEE school of music in 1983, I learned a LOT. I know a LOT. But what you are teaching is like Berklee on steroids to ME. I am a drummer. I am an audio guy. I took a lot of arranging courses at Berklee. They never taught me this stuff. I know all the major scales, tensions b9, #11, b13, all that. I should be able to play a 12 bar blues, C7-F7-G7, I guess a could do that but I learn SOOO much more from YOU. Cant thank you enough. I have Cubase 10 and Impulse 61 so I have toys to play with. Thanks again. Love your channel. Hope to watch and learn every RIFF you put out there.
TH-cam suggested this right on time ! *THANK YOU JASON.* I've been doing Maj/min/Blues scales for years & needed this - I'll be watching this video more than a few times.

Jason, you're my BEST! Phenomenal Teacher and Musician! You make me smile with EVERY lesson cause now I'm UNDERSTANDING piano without sheet music! YOU'VE OPENED MY MIND TO PIANO PLAYING! Finally I can sit at the piano, relax and make pleasant music! I've been reading/playing sheets on and off all my life...now at 55 I can fly! I searched for you for years and you found me (it's said that "when the student is ready the teacher appears'.) I literally look forward to seeing you everyday...you're a Refreshing Spirit! A Healer! A Blessing to millions! "Thanks so so much" is not enough. 🕉❤🇯🇲
Thank you Jason for considering my request.....This is really good.....I'm gonna play these scales & pick one more scale & practice improvising using the chords progressions you showed.....Bass riffs sound good & really catchy....Thanks again for the lesson...👍🙂

Hi Zac. Hats off to you for your lucid explanations.A player of any level would surely benefit if HE /SHE were to come across your beautiful channel. May GOD BLESS YOU.
Hi sir, just wanted to say you are amazing, by the way I am an 11 year old piano player!and love your variety of music! The best TH-cam piano explanation videos !
Hi Jason your teaching is full of enthusiasm. You are a great teacher. I am learning from your videos. I am a beginner can you please describe the features of the keyboard. How to sync add rhythms to the notes like tempos etc. The setup of the keyboard. I will appreciate. I am a published writer and trying to sing my own poems with music. Thanks
Thanks Sajeda. I'm only a Piano player and don't use the keyboard for arrangement so my expertise may not be able to convey the keyboard features. Will continue to work on Piano and Music lessons!
Thanks so much and do consider heading over to our website with all the TH-cam lessons well laid out for you to learn: www.nathanielschool.com/freelessons
I think that your use of languages helps you. You are Indian, I don't know what language is your Mother tongue (Sanskrit?) and you speak English. Then you also learned music. Both Indian music as well as Western music. And so you are able to be a translator for many people. Bravo and merci.
I'm a guitarist and this may seem really odd, but here's an observation I just had: Eric Johnson, a very well known electric guitar virtuoso has a sort of signature way of exploiting the pentatonic scale in specific patterns (listen to Cliffs of Dover), which prior to him, just wasn't really done in that way on electric guitar. I recently discovered that Eric is actually a fairly accomplished pianist and was a piano player prior to picking up guitar. When you played the pentatonic scale I could not help but notice some of the descending runs you did sound very similar to Eric Johnson's "cascade" style pentatonic runs on electric guitar. My hypothesis is that Eric may have a acquired this pattern of running the pentatonic from his piano knowledge...and naturally tried to play similar sounding patterns on guitar. This may be why it's a sound that was really signature to him, because it's actually a bit unnatural and tricky to play the pentatonic in that cascade sort of sound on guitar compared to piano. It requires a very odd and somewhat unnatural picking technique to accomplish. It makes me wonder if he picked up a guitar and readily tried to apply his pentatonic patterns from piano, and in doing so unconsciously created some technical picking innovation in order to accomplish it. Point being, it was interesting to me that I could kind of hear this in your piano style pretty immediately...it made me realize how much more natural it is to cascade the scale in that way (e.g., flow up and down) on the piano...where as with the guitar, you need to skip to lower/higher strings and your pick needs to effectively clear the strings without hesitation. On piano, you can just press the appropriate finger. Of course, this is a skill in itself...as when I try to play piano it feels like I have a disability...
It is an integral part of Chinese music. Ancient churches in Africa have their Church music still in this form.and You know the most ancient bone flute in the World sounds this when blown , the tube says . Our Mohan raga is inevitable to S Indian music like Dhup in the North. Its derivatives are many . Thank You ,Sir, for the lesson.
