On Tuesday I read Candace Ayers’ Fire Breathing Beast. It was so enjoyable that I immediately went and bought the box set of the whole series, Dragons of the Bayou, and read all six books cover to cover over the next 48 hours. They were so fun! I’m giving my eyes and brain a break and reading something else now but plan to reread the series more slowly in a few days. Love when a book, or books, just suck you in and don’t let you go.
Oh, do I ever LOVE a series like that. :-) I prefer series books over stand alones. I have not read anything by Candace Ayer's yet. It looks like I will have to add something from her soon.
Belladonna is the first book in the trilogy, then foxglove, and wisteria is the third. Not sure if this is the final book or if there will be more. The covers are beautiful. John Gwynne is fantastic! He’s one of my favorite fantasy authors. I finished Malice just a few weeks ago and will continue with the series. But even better is his latest trilogy, Shadow of the Gods. The second book is The Hunger of the Gods and the third and final book is coming out later this year. That book’s title is The Fury of the Gods. I’m in my dark academia time and reading Tana French’s The Likeness. It’s really good and I would like to continue with this series eventually too. Also reading Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult. It’s my first by her, and I’m enjoying it also. That’s a tough way to put it based on the subject matter though😊. I had avoided reading her other books because I felt all she did was take her plot lines directly from the current news but I may give another book of hers a try.
Oh yea, I'm glad John Gwynne is good. :-) Thank you for the info on the Belladonna and Wisteria books. :-) Sometimes it is harder then one would think to find out the order of some of them. It sounds like you do a lot of reading, I love that. :-)
I have been busy writing books then reading them. I got one coming out next year and another one. Well two of them I gotta finish. So hopefully I will get them done soon.
I have written a book called Annabelle listened. But I am in the process of republishing it for it's 10th anniversary this year. But it won't be out until next year.
Hild sounds like something I’d be interested to read. All the books sound amazing. I like your taste in books 📚 Also I have books to tell my Mom about since she’s an avid reader 😍
I have gotten them on ebay. :-) Oh I am so excited to hear this!!! Betsy was Junior is probably my all time favorite. Plus, there are 3 other side books, Winona's Pony Cart, Carney's House Party and Emily of Deep Valley and they are all wonderful. :-)
just found you from fushia floyd, following autumn beckman. how do you log your books? how do you read so many such large books in a month? thanks new subscriber
Welcome!!! I am so glad you are here. :-) I have book journals. I write in each book I receive and I get a little picture of the book (from an etsy shop) and put it in by each one as well. I have way more books then I have time to read...at least right now. I am glad to get 4 or 5 done a month. I like having them though, that way if I get a chance to grab one I have it. :-)
