Here is a little update to my garage installation. This is the first time I've ever had three matching industrial fans since I got those NuTone Proline IIs, so I wanted to try them in an installation together. The little Evergo is unchanged since my NCFD video, I haven't come up with anything I'd like better for that location. This video features the NuTones at full power with new capacitors, as necessary. I'm not prepared to say that this will be a permanent installation, but until I have some other matching set of industrials that I'd find to be cooler, I'll probably leave these up.

Good video. I was wondering about spin down industrials because I never seen them spin down at all.

What did you use to make that thumbnail

I'm surprised you don't have all four different industrials, maybe the goldline, older Dayton you have, and maybe the proline or Airmaster mark VII, that would be a nice install

My goal was always to have matching fans.

Also didn't you have one of those NuTone Proline II ceiling fans in brown with 48" blades?

No. The only 48" Proline I have is the older 4 blade cast motor version.

I cant remember what you had here before. What would it take to get all cast fans?
Also, the pattern never made sense to me. I understand the separate one over the workbench. But then shouldnt it be four spaced evenly over the main area? Maybe I would get it if I saw it in person.
You should come get some of these antique preheat fluorescent lights I have and use those in here!

If I could get one more cast NuTone Proline with the NuTone canopy, I could swap the Proline IIs. That's the closest I am at the moment, otherwise I'd have to find at least two additional matching fans to any other I have. I don't foresee changing the Evergo, it's been ideal for that location.
The pattern has always been a tradeoff, there's just not enough room in that corner for two fans without it looking ridiculously crowded. For awhile I had the four spaced evenly over the main area and no workbench fan, but in the end I found I preferred having the one over the workbench more and eliminated the fourth fan on the other control. It also does make a little more sense when you see the entire area, because the space under where the fourth evenly spaced fan would be is essentially a dead area where my dad parks his motorcycle in front of my car, and back along the wall is just our stockpile of wood, a tool chest, etc. Not exactly a lot of functionality for excessive air movement in that particular corner, and the Evergo covers it well enough.

+Vintage Fans & More I wouldnt change the Evergo unless you find a 40" Dayton Lasko or some other small industrial with a pullchain.
IMO I like installs where they dont all match, as we see in public a lot. I think two cast Prolines and one other curved blade industrial from the same era would be awesome. I cant think of what else you have at the moment other than the CEC that I want.
I cant think of a solution to the pattern other than going with a different number of fans.

What if you get 2 more Envirofan Gold Line, then would you install them there?

    • @vfandm
      @vfandm  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

If they were all the same (or at least similar) generation, maybe. I don't really spend a lot of time thinking about hypothetical situations, I just work with what I have when I have it.

Yeah, Envirofan Gold Line would match Evergo, Evergo is made by same factory as early Envirofan Gold Line.

Ever considered installing all your Caribbean Breeze type fans in here?

I'm only just getting enough that match now where I could potentially do that (as in, matching finish). My major hesitation is that they're basically all brand new, and I usually try to keep the garage fans in the well-used category just due to exposure to the non-climate controlled environment, possible damage, etc. But I mean at this rate, if I get a few more, I could let a few go for this installation.

Vintage Fans & More I see, that makes sense.. I wouldn't want to put something new out in a garage either..
