I'm actually very surprised that you were unprepared. I thought you were generally a Prepper. You made tons of videos showing you picking up emergency food, gadgets, camping equipment etc. Having said that, I hope you and your Family are doing ok and stay safe and healthy.
Could you do more vlog type videos like this? I’d love to see your garden and plants and just all your cool stuff lol I enjoy it. Hoping everything is well over there. Everything will be ok
You need to get a well dig with filtration on your property and a gasoline generator. Getting a well dig is more important since we need water to survive.
OF ALL PEOPLE id have thought you would be great. All the off grid gadgets you have tested. Solar plants stoves water purifiers saws knives food stores. IT UPLOADED
Where are you? I'm in Asheville and we have well water now since our power is back on. I set up an outdoor private shower too. It works awesome. Come get all the water you need.👍 I have some extra life straws too. So your kids can drink the well water.
Stay safe! Here in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, we've experienced floods pretty regularly but NOTHING on that level. Lots of experience seeing downed twisted power lines cutting off folks. Tough to drive around at all. But Helene's a big wake-up call for me. I mean, I now know it could be a lot worse than what we've experienced before. It really makes me rethink what we need, for proper preparation.
Taras if you have any kind of generator you can plug in your tv and hook up a tv antenna (or make one) and scan for free over the air channels that include local news stations
my daughters are in north florida, they fully preped since we are from florida and used to hurricanes.. they are running everything off solar and 2 power banks to run frige and freezer. have sat internet to contact people and swapped over to the well powered by solar to get water and take showers.. gas stove for cooking.. i am worried about them being in a different state.. but they are fine..
You say you weren't prepared but I think you were much more prepared than other people by a long shot! I hope the water situation gets squared away soon. I recommend a rainwater catchment system for future problems like this. With the way the world is changing, it's impacting us locally now. Water is #1 priority! You got this, Taras. Our hearts are with you and your family.
I'm sure with all the survival tools and gadgets you have tested over the years, solar panels, MRE's, battery packs, power generators, water purification tablets, gas burners, camping stoves, etc, you'll be able to survive for about 3-5 YEARS without power and water.

For water just boil some rain water and save it in food safe containers to drink from
