Palki is one of the best journalists from our generation that I have come across. Her reporting style is absolutely captivating. It's a damn shame that we're missing out on her news reporting because of the reprehensible nature of some bad actors. Hope she recovers from this and returns stronger.

She is the reason i watch WION and subscribed , the way she delivers the news is amazing. But i was really happy to watch her and news, it's fact no matter how accomplished women are judged. Gender bias is EVERYWHERE

Palki Ma'm is one of the few TV journalists who do news reporting that is worth watching. In a politically charged India, her TV journalist work stands out and has something meaningful to watch. Another TV journalist I find doing good work is Sonal Merhotra ma'm.

I just discovered her during the last two years on TH-cam. I was so happy to see her approach and professionalism in journalism because in the USA we don’t see Indian women news journalists like this on our screens often.
I miss her!!! I am a Filipino living in Los Angeles and I watched her on the show. Loved her delivery and all about her!
When my wife worked for Global Logic, she experienced similar incidents. She was sent to the USA for a project, was not allowed to carry her child, and was told that the visit was for business purposes and for 3 weeks only. later even without her consent, they extended her stay for 4 more weeks. Back home the child was crying for her mother, have seen female employees getting into post-delivery complications causing death and our corporates have had peculiar leave policies and HR is either hapless or useless against the Management.

This is so sad to see what women go through. Palki is the reason for me to start watching Wion. I'm definitely going to miss her. Her journalism is always on point. Man if you ever really think about having your own chanel/blog, I'll be your first subscriber. I never really felt learning about the world news until I saw your videos on Wion!

I absolutely love this woman and look upto her. Feel sorry for her and tons of women across industries for facing similar problems. Getting left out for not participating in drinking/smoking jaunts hits home so close. Some workplaces should not judge people and leave them out of opportunities and growth for not enjoying these as much as not judging people for enjoying these. Progress is making room and letting thrive all sorts of opinions and preferences. While a few respect that, there are still many who either openly or covertly don't.

The only parameter any person should be judged on when in comes to communication job profiles should be their confidence, conduct, approachability and looking presentable or anything useful if i missed any.
And i understand what you were trying to say about companies, but their judging, especially women on such standards shouldn't be allowed to be the norm.

I subscribed to Wion when I saw one of Palki's reports. She's really excellent in presenting news about international affairs and politics. I am personally tired of watching the propaganda style of reporting of some of the major news outlets in the world so Palki is a breath of fresh air. And I guess, that's the reason why a massive amount of foreign viewers appreciate her. Great job Palki & FirstPost team!
She was literally the only reason I watched WION especially after the pandemic. She keeps it honest and she is sharp. I was looking for where she was now. FirstPost it is! 😊
Wow! Cannot expect this abuse to happen with supposedly well educated guys, but it's everywhere, also here in the U.S. "the light on civil rights, liberty, equality...." and others values not honored in real life, some women prefer to take the abuse just to be promoted, sometimes to avoid retaliation and lose their job. Also some newsrooms here went under fire due to several scandals of sexual abuse, and Hollywood even made a movie about the story. It took the MeToo movement to make a lot of noise to expose the widespread misogyny and sexism in many industries, and it was worth the effort. Girls or women, in U.S., in India, anywhere in the world, DO NOT have to take any humiliation, speak out! Sorry for what happened to your daughter, I hope she was fine. Nobody should take the companies pressure to put work, work, and work first, and don't care about families, just "to be competitive" and keep ratings high. Wish you good luck in your endeavors, you deserve much better. Thank you for the time broadcasting, you're very professional. Wish we had here the same quality news, but other than our reliable PBS, the rest of the media is a circus.
I miss Palki Sharma, in fact I subscribe only to WION because of her. I miss her commentaries. I’m sad by her resignation and I only knew it here. I hope I could see her back here in youtube.
