The news reader presents the bitter and sweet news in such a language that's ours unlike few others. Before signing off I read elsewhere about Smt Sharma the news reader of Gravitas leaving this channel but WHY ? Her way and style of presenting us the news is wonderful. Apologies if you actually find/regard WION to be a reliable source of international news. That channel pushes skewed narratives. Especially when it concerns African states. For example when Palki reported on the situation in Kenya following the recent elections. The whole video was a facade. Using old footage from the 2007 election to try to paint a picture that the country was in unrest yet the whole time the country was in a peaceful state. I'm not putting it on Palki 'cause, for sure, I know she was just doing a reporter's job of reading a teleprompter. WION is biased and unreliable. Wake up, do your research and depend on other reliable sources for better coverage of international news. Peace and Love.

Palki's resignation is due to her not being able to give an unbiased report about a woman from the UK who died recently. That woman is seen by some as a representative of colonialism. Palki wanted to tell the 'REAL' story about colonialism and imperialism etc. and the real legacies. There was a clash with the bosses at WION who wanted a more 'diplomatic' story telling.
She also felt that WION lost its fundamental purpose where reporting is concerned. WION wants to spin 'stories' in a way Palki is not keen on.
For Palki, it is important to tell the real stories.
These are not facts, just my opinion.
We love you Palki. We can't wait for your new project.

Wion got the response in such short time bcs of the content. Instead of putiing more and more negativity and hopelessness in the minds of aspiring Indians it filled their minds with hope, positivity and inspiration. Most channels fail to do that.

Palki is the best news presenter and journalist I have ever come across in India. She speaks so calmly and her diction is so amazing. She never shouts or sensationalizes like other journalists. I feel so ashamed when I remember Pundit Nehru's saying: I am an English man in Indian skin. India developed the "Designer Language" Sanskrit (Grammar first - speak later). Zero and mathematical Numbering System. When I was a child in East Pakistan, we were still using Binary Mathematics (64 paisa = 1 taka). People who didn't have formal schooling, stil could perform business transactions in bazars. And then, if some items didn't have an western Togma of approval, it was only semi valid. How many Nobels were denied to India ? Satyen Bose, Meghnad Saha, Jogodish Chandra Bose.
As a Singaporean and having read our local state run newspaper for almost 50 yrs, I came across Ms Palki Sharma TH-cam channel last year after a few episodes I decided to subscribe, I seldom subscribe TH-cam channels. Nothing much worth my time frankly.
I was blown away by what true journalism is. And your fantastic ability to report complex news made simple truly help cut thru all that crap and smoke screens politicians are throwing to cover their misdeeds.
Imagine my utter disappointment to learn she has recently resigned. Now Wion feels like all those bland news channels ~ back to square one.

Palki was with WION from the start and helped to build it based on her values and ideology re storytelling. She may have left WION because she thinks thinks are going in a different direction.
Persons are speculating that she will join a big news channel. That is NOT the Palki way. As an idealist, Palki's values and ideologies are important to storytelling. She does not want to go to a place where she will be told what to report. She will 'BUILD HER OWN PROJECT'. She wants to tell stories in a way they should be told.She realises that she has what it takes to get there, having been there with WION at the beginning.
1. She is a credible speaker: ethos
2. She connects with people: pathos
3. Her reporting makes much sense: logo
4. People like her
5. She has a very large following.
6. She has much experience
7. She has experience starting a news channel.
8. She knows what the people want.
More than likely she will gather a team and start a news channel on a popular platform.
The alternative is for a news channel to build around her and give her lots of scope and freedom to tell the stories in a way she thinks they should be told.
I wish ppl of Bharat should have people’s funded news channel with her and all other true journalists rather than the crap agenda-driven national media. I think even all the ppl across world craving for truth will support her.
