Will The NCY CAM Make a Stock 49cc 139QMB GY6 50 Maddog Faster?

  • I still discuss a lot of carburetor stuff in here as the Florida temps changed from 60s to 90F!! Between my carb testing. I tested this with the stock 18-19ish mm CVK. I did the stock cam and NCY cam back to back so temp and humidity are consistent even though overall speeds decreased from previous runs when the temps were in the 60s. The cam is a great mod over stock. For more info on installing cams see the videos below. Tested on a 2024 Gen 1 Icebear Maddog 50cc and I weigh 210 lbs geared up.

    Consider valve spring pressure

      Probably something to do with valve spring stiffness, this is more important if you’re raising the rpm limiter but it could help if you’re changing the cam profile

      Yes. Got too many complaints on the audio from fancy people who listen in stereo. I only had sound coming out one side. LOL
