China and USA both have freedom
    Example for USA
    Freedom to do drugs
    Freedom to be homeless
Freedom to rob, kill, mob, beatup etc
    Example for China
Freedom to live and travel even at midnight
Freedom to drink on the street side
Freedom to be healthy and happy
    Feedom to be kind
    🎉❤❤

I've lived in China for 11 years, and studied it extensively. It's the safest country on the planet for personal safety. Unaccompanied women can walk the street at night without fear of personal harm. People not familiar with this will always ask, “how can this be?”. The answer is, anti-social behaviour has been executed out of Chinese society. If you are responsible for a premeditated attack on another person, causing injury, then there's a possible death sentence waiting for you.

    • @tl87-rg9df
      @tl87-rg9df ปีที่แล้ว +226

Thanks But one thing is wrong, if you are responsible for a premeditated or deliberate attack on another person, causing death, then there would be a high chance of getting death penalty. But if it's just causing injury, i don't think the culprit would get death penalty, usually prison sentences and the length all varies based on how serious the injury is. Capital punishment is allowable only under exceptional circumstances and China takes it very cautiously. I am Chinese and I know how it works.

I visited China 6 years ago. I was amazed by the architecture and the busy streets at night - only to mention a couple main points. Not all the streets look like this though. But it is true, that me and my wife felt absolutely secure and many Chinese people were ready and willing to help us with directions or whatever. Different culture, but there is sooo much we could learn from them.

I've been to S.E. Asia but not China (yet), so I appreciate you showing us this view of the country from your perspective. Allow me to ask a simple question based solely on common sense. I believe the landmass of both United States and China is comparable at 3.7 and 3.9 million square kilometers (approx). That said, can you get an accurate safety assessment of a country by walking down a few streets & through a park? Are you saying there are no unsafe or dodgy areas of China? I'm not at all challenging your findings, just wondering if you feel the conclusion is solid based on your criteria or data. Maybe you're right and the whole country is as safe as that 1 park but imagine me saying All of America is dangerous because of 112th street on the Southside of Chicago. I use this example because I grew up there and my dad lives in an area that's just as safe as that street/park in china & it's only 35 mins away.
Thanks again for sacrificing your time to provide such high value content.

@@javonstyles5644 Great question! This "100% safety" cannot happen in any country, or they won't necessarily have police. The thing is, China in general is much more safe than the US. China has highly strict laws on firearms and drugs. No Chinese citizens are allowed to carry guns, bows, and arrows. If found, they will be sentenced to life in prison. If a Chinese citizen carries more than 50g of cocaine, that is an immediate death sentence. So there's no shoot-outs in China or drug dealers. HOWEVER, let me share with you one danger. On the border of Yunnan province and Myanmar, there is a serious issue of Telecommunications fraud, people in China were asked to go on vacation for free(ads) and were restricted personal freedom, trained to be people who commit fraud, breaking families apart and cheating money. But all in all, China is much safer. You should visit China once thanks to the 144-hour non-visa policy, you'll be amazed and realize you've been lied to by the western media. China Welcomes You!

The best imo is in Harbin, they have a street there that is amazing, try the sausages and ice cream, both local delicacies. I wish your videos could be seen by all the Americans that think the USA is the greatest country. Hi Jason,
another strong observations is that Metro stations in the west do no have washrooms of toilets or those who rarely have are under lock and key controlled by the metro station staff, unlike China where I have personalty used many times extremely clean and modern public toilets. When I was in Europe and asked metro station staff to explain why they do not have public toilers they explained that drug addicts and crime was the cause., to risk as far as safety was concerned, no need to mention that vandalism was obviously another cause
So Jason, next time you go to a western country try making a video in comparing public toilets in metro stations

Had to use a public toilet in Houston, Texas. Went to a shopping mall in search for one - and found it 200 yards away by the stench of urine. 1. Keeping a public washroom sanitary can be costly in a developed country where in China there are billions of low paying workers compete for jobs like cleaning the toilet bowls or urinals in a public washroom. You can say it’s an advantage for a country to have a huge population that live in poverty.
      2. In developed countries, people don’t often take a stroll down a random street as much as Chinese do. Maybe everywhere has been fast developing and looks 0:22 exotic to people who had little exposure to the world. And most communities are identical in the developed counties and people value their time and don’t often run into a situation of having the urge of using a public restroom when roaming around a random community.
      3. In developed countries, most people use cars to travel whereas in China most people rely on public transit system. Like you said druggies get drugged out in public washrooms subway stations but you don’t see that often in the shopping centres. It’s sad in the developed countries cops can’t just throw people with issues out of the cities like the commies do because they have basic human rights and freedom of the press to expose such acts where in mainland China or North Korea the authorities can easily sweep them out of a populated area.
Yes I have seen many Chinese, especially mainlanders, using a bush or an open field to take a leak in the developed countries. Maybe it’s one of those things that developed countries can improve to meet Chinese mainlanders’ needs and expectations. But it’s not going to happen in a recent future unless China’s economic growth can keep up the global economy’s. The rich people in China are fleeing their country. Are they simply escaping communism or have seen signs China is going into the world’s spittoon?

Another great video highlighting personal safety! I'm not American (I'm from the UK), but through work and holidays, I've visited 17, maybe 19 states (some just passing through), and there have been times when I've been genuinely fearful for my safety. I've been to as many provinces in China as that, and I've been lucky enough to have traveled the Silk Road from Xian all the way to Urumqi (Xinjiang). I have never been afraid traveling in China; the people are always curious and friendly. The same cannot be said elsewhere! Even in the UK, I'd be careful of walking through some of the local market towns I grew up in at night, and I certainly wouldn't let my daughter do it. The rhetoric directed at China is truly abhorrent - the press is not telling the whole story - it is shameful. The infrastructure in China is far superior to that in the US and the UK (and much of Europe); that's the real issue that the Western press should be focussing on - while China is improving its people's lives, through improved infrastructure and education, the West's is crumbling and decaying - come see and experience China for yourselves, it is not what you are being told!

My first visit to Guilin was in the year 2000.
It was there I met my god-daughter. when she was a child.
Now she is an adult & happily married.
    Been to Guilin many times.
It is a lovely city & one of the top 5 tourist destination in China.
Usually from Guilin, travel to Yangshou by
    boat.
A nice place in Yangshou is the
    WEST STREET !!
    Been there ??
If not, go there to see. !!!
Anyway, Jason, mi lad, thank you
    for this video.
As usual, miss Lincoln & mother.
Where is he & mother ??
ps: love to see one of you people, expat,
make a video of my ancestor' home in

    my grandfather.

Strange that many have asked this question before.
In our Chinese custom & tradition
we do "adopt" children from another from another family
      as god-daughter or god-son.
This Kind of "adoption" does not mean you "own" the child.
Proper "adoption" must goes through a proper tea ceremony.
Which I did, with the approval of the Child' parent approval.
She was so cute when as a child.
Asked her to be my god-daughter & she said, Yes.
Asked her parent for approval & they said, Yes.
So a simple tea ceremony was held.
      She served me Tea.
      And I accepted the Tea
& gave her any Ang Pow
      (a Chinese red packet)
And we have a simple great dinner.
From then on, I am no longer an uncle
      (normally addressed to)
      but I am her god-father.
