I live about 5 miles to the east of LGB airport! Beautiful morning footage I must say. A lot of history at Long Beach airport, Boeing, McDonnell Douglas and I’m forgetting one more. Hundreds of C-17 were built here and provide thousands of great jobs as well. I am so happy to see you took the time to experience and film here. Proud and honored in a local kinda way. Don't think anyone has ever covered Long Beach before. Well done. Love the terminal at Long Beach, it's right out of 1940. Very cool. 30 minutes from LAX, but really a lifetime. Real throwback in time
@@martonfarkas1872 No. I heard those low-bypass aircraft like the 727 and they don't sound as thunderous as their high-bypass counterparts, just higher pitched.
@@martonfarkas1872 Lol, love the pun but yeah. Low-bypass engines have a higher pitched jet exhaust noise (turbojets even higher still) which gives them the illusion of being louder because our ears are more sensitive to higher frequencies.
Long Beach was my home growing up, love the airport, so easy to get in and out, they even have great public transportation! I am only really sad that both Jet Blue and Alaska have left, (I live in PDX now) and now it seems to be a Southwest hub:( Thanks! Great video:)WOOO Southwest flying to Hawaii ! Delta might as well be stationed in France. They DONT HAVE A SINGLE Boeing JET in their fleet!

They have about 180 737s (plus 100 737 Max on order, supposedly), and they're purchasing second-hand ones, and they still have about 100 757s
they literally have hundreds of Boeing aircraft 💀 and the only one of their aircraft shown in this video are their embraer jets, built in brazil
