Love these! I spent several hunting seasons in Colorado including multiple prep trips in advance. We hunted in Yampa area in out of bounds wilderness areas toward treeline. Always had a razor sharp schrade knife and my 357 magnum with hot jacketed hollow points and was never alone. We were stalked by mountain lions and took measures not to come up on bedded down elk or mule deer herds towards dusk (didn’t want to get stomped!) never an encounter like these nor in my childhood in the woodlands of Connecticut. Awesome stories!

I really appreciate your upbeat attitude, in this world today you help take my mind off current issues going on around us, thank you once again sir!
I live in a neighborhood in the Colorado mountains but not close to Copper Mountain. I am two houses away from a cul-de-sac. My neighborhood butts up against state park and national forest. Pretty much you could walk out our back yard and get lost quickly. I have lived here for over 20 years. Sasquatch has been sighted in the wilderness area relatively closeby in the last 30 years. Sometimes it does get creepy here at night and there's a feeling of being watched. Though I have yet to see the big hairy guy. Anyway, just found your channel and am loving the stories and delivery. Keep it going.
So glad to hear you always tell someone where you are going - I was worried about that as you go hiking alone. Thank you for explaining and showing us all the things you got and do to keep yourself safe, it's good to know that you really are as safe as you can be! The whistle, being much louder, should have a much better affect! Love the Sasquatch stories! Very scary this one! I wonder why Bigfoot is so keen on throwing rocks, which features in so many reports of encounters. It seems to be to get people to notice him - but why? And why the howling? To warn people before he eats them? Why? Great lantern by the way - I used to have real paraffin lamps but find them too dangerous to have around, but a fake flame is a good idea!

I enjoy your approach and I enjoy your storytelling and I always get a good chuckle about whatever it is you're talking about. The scenery is beautiful. I am from northern Minnesota myself, I heard you mention you were from Minnesota. I thought you were because I either get asked if I'm from Canada or if I'm down way down south I get asked if I'm from Chicago which is hilarious! I don't know why they always pick that but they do. But anyway thanks so much and keep hiking!😉. Btw... love the lantern! Although, I am partial to the old Coleman mental lanterns. I love the sound they make in the light they give off it reminds me of my childhood camping with my family.
I found your channel by accident but been hooked since lol I love that you put sound effects and photos in your videos lol Thanks for the stories 😀
Keep sharing stories and keep hiking Chris! Thanks again!

Hey Chris, welcome back from vaca, good story, was going to go backpacking in a coupla hours, but an old foot injury turned it into camping and day hlke adventure, plan on putting a few of your hlking/camping ideas to use! in your words, "Keep Hiking" later-
Hope your foot heals...Enjoy your camping.
Great story, Chris. Nice to have a little light to go home in, or at least to the car. Stay safe, Buddy.

Just found your channel. When I was a little girl my father would tell me bedtime stories. They were always about a little girl in the woods. And he always gave me his last tiny swallow of beer before bed. Miller lite… ick. Your channel warms my soul. Thank you.

Love your stories. Also enjoy how you tell them onsite. ❤️
You are an excellent storyteller. Thankyou
Love, love, loved it! Definitely got goosebumps when it (she?) screamed. I still think they just want someone to love them. 😉 However, they're not going about it very well are they. I like all your safety items, especially the Ruger. You are definitely prepared. The battery op storm lamp is great. Looking forward to more spooky stories. KH!
Enjoy your videos Chris
