Randy Blauket says crawfish lures with only 1 claw get more bites, i havnt really noticed a difference but the only crawfish lure I have caught Fish on is the Matrix craw. Any guides there you recommend? Great video as usual, I like when Justin or Cmac is with you.
Todd, I've heard you comment that Justin Bowles fishes with straight braid line. Is that true? I often wonder if all the time i spend tying leader knots is a waste of time. Clark King
To my knowledge, Justin doesn't ever fish straight braid. He's a straight fluoro guy. On this trip, I fished straight braid, but it's a rarity for me. I'm a big believer in fluoro leaders, just not for flipping.
Fish the banks without water behind them. Went last weekend and did good and went yesterday and caught about 40 bass and a lot of reds. Low tide is when it’s best bc the fish can’t get deep into the canes. Low tide typically happens around 1-2pm at that points it’s almost every other cast
Oh man, I almost took my nephew out there this past weekend but opted for closer to home. Oh well, left the trout biting at 9am, so it worked out. I wanted to ask you - did you change your cameras? The video looks like the cameras were upgraded, really nice look.

Hey Todd! Fished down there recently…. Fish are smaller than what are normally down there … go figure?
Yeah, we kinda blamed the heat. Caught a few nice ones, but on average, they weren't typical Venice quality. Still a blast getting all those bites.
Me and my buddies are trying to go fishing this weekend in Venice. Any advice on spots to fish?
