Zeus is actually more powerful than kratos in strength, you forget one thing, kratos used strategy in weaken zeus before God of war 3, by stabbing zeus with the blade of olympus zeus become so weak that kratos could match strenght with him, you can confirm this by just watching their fight in gow 2 and by listen to what he told gaia
Zeus was actually resistant to his power and became even more stronger by God of war three, even the Brady guides said this. It just all came down to weapon mastery and conceptual power, which is a lot stronger than anything the Norse has. Even the weapons as well are already broken by Norse standards but in Greek, even champions can wield them like mjolnir.
@@John2r1 In Greek Mythology, Cratos is not a god. He is a Titan. Titans are stronger than gods. Hercules was the strongest god. Second strongest being behind Cratos
Not Gaia, he told Atlas “By taking the Blade of Olympus back and driving it into Zeus' heart! It holds the power I once wielded as the god of war!” GoW 2.
Nope, she never said that. She said ''The Norns of this land have no such magic.'' That's it. That's literally all she said. If we're playing that game, Kratos literally being baffled at Thor's power saying ''That's ridiculous!'' when Mimir told him Thor sent Jormungandr back in time is proof that Thor, and the Norse verse, is far stronger than the Greeks.
@@TheStraightestWhitest BS. Freya was equally shocked at how the Greek magic allows for accurate timetravel in order to change history and fate. Kratos was "shocked" at the absurdity of someone being struck back in time, due to some World Tree being actually in charge of Time itself in this "pantheon" of mortal fraudsters
Zeus would absolutely dogwalk Thor, and he wouldn't need to give it his all to do it. As for Kratos, we have developer statements confirming he is holding back *at all times* in GoW and GoW: Ragnarok. In *every* fight. Yes, including the one where he handed Thor his ass.
You should really provide *feats.* Idle chatter doesn't prove anything except the lack of evidence you're willing to show. The top comment states Zeus survived being stabbed MULTIPLE times by the Blade of Olympus, presumably the strongest weapon in GoW because ANOTHER comment mentions Freya admitting that the Greek pantheon was far more gifted with magic.
Said developer statements literally confirm that Odin is the biggest threat in the entire franchise and that Kratos’s spartan skills will be tested like never before. Thor is stated in Kratos’s codex that his attacks is more heavy and powerful than he’s ever felt. Thor dog walks Zeus. Cory Barlog confirmed that Old Kratos beats Young Kratos
@@liammcguire1954 Yeah, no. They outright said Odin wasn't as powerful as Zeus. You're right about the codex and Cory Barlog saying old Kratos is more powerful than young Kratos, however. That being said, there's a difference between having heavy blows and being the most powerful. Thor has a ton of brute strength. Zeus had literal cosmic power at his disposal on top of being every bit as physically strong as old Kratos is now.
Kratos was not even out of breath after handing Thor’s ass to him how can you say he wasn’t holding back, he didn’t even use spartan rage in the cutscenes
@@yokotubene it’s is a big feat considering only a few beings has ever actually killed kratos canonically in the first place. Kratos was holding back yes but so was Thor considering that he just needed to distract kratos so Odin could talk to Atreus in the first place.

Had Thor killed a bloodlusted Kratos, that would've been an impressive feat, but he didn't. In the second fight, Thor lost to Kratos fairly easily even though Thor was going all out while Kratos was STILL holding back.
@huskyamethyst6541 zeus also killed kratos as well but since kratso was from greek he went to the underworld but zeus as a old man bought him back and in gow 2 Gaia bought him back as well
Sorry, but Kratos is NEVER going all out in new gen games, as stated by devs. Zeus, if not weakened in GoW 2, leading up to the climax of 3, would have obliterated Kratos in that final fight, even with Kratos trying his hardest. Let's be real, if Kratos lost control, he would solo Asgard in a day.
If you look at it, another way to compare the strengths between the Norse gods and the Greek gods is in how they die, and I don't mean them just dying to Kratos. But most if not all of the Greek gods cause a devastating catastrophe that shifts the order of the natural realm they govern, such as the souls of the dead not being bound to Hades once Hades dies, to Poseidon causing an enormous flood. We could even say that Thanatos the god of death's catastrophe was Kratos' wrath against the gods, eloquently put by Zeus calling him "Death, the destroyer of worlds". Yet when a Norse god dies, they just...die. No explosions that shift in the natural order, no huge catastrophes, no huge explosion. They just fall over and die, like any mortal would. So if the Greek gods can hold that level of power to cause that much devastation when they die, then comparing the Norse gods to the Greek would be like comparing A bag of grapes to an entire vineyard. We're using the same fruit, but on a very different scale.
Well it’s because the greek gods created their realm/universe. When they die their work is undone. Asgardians are olympians are fundamentally two different types of deities
@picassojulien899 The norse gods also created the realms on their own. After killing Ymir, they used his body to sculpt the whole world, using every part to create the 9 realms. yet when the gods died, their work still remained. Then again, it wasn't their power per se, more so them just building the world with what they were given. on a side note, these norse gods are really just some dieties as you said, and not true gods that govern something of fundamental nature.
Baldurs death brought thimble winter. He didn't just die. In norse mythology, it states that when Baldur died, the Animals wept, the trees wept, the stones of the earth wept. Even fire and iron wept.
Zeus stomps even if we go by their actual version in the myths. Olympians are immortal while Asgardians aren't. Zeus will just have to fight Thor for a few thousands years until Thor dies of old age lmao. I love both characters in these games tho.
@@hurmur9528 Nordic gods were never immortal. They ate apples of Idunn that extended their life spans far beyond normal. They just live for a really long time (they do got a bit longer than a few thousand years). But, Idunn is fated to die during Ragnarok. Meaning the ones that do survive will be completely mortal.
If we are going to use myths, Thor’s mother, Jord, is the giant goddess of the Earth. She would be Gaia to the Greeks. So Thor would be Zeus’s uncle, due to Thor being brothers with Chronos. Do with that knowledge what you like.

As much as the marvel fans would love to say thor, reality is Zeus would win. God of gods is a title even us humans sometimes boast of our god though it’s a bit hypocritical. Zeus commanded the primordials beings who created everything, destroyed the titans. As Greek mythology goes with each offspring the power goes up, clearly that isn’t the same in Norse since Odin is superior to thor. And thors children aren’t shit, whereas kratos at magni and modis age WHILE BEING A MORTAL, was feared through the lands. Zeus commanded being who created existence while Odin was fiddling around with a mask to find out what will happen. Besides as mimir himself said, the powers of a Norse god is far lesser than that of the Greeks as time manipulation knocked his imaginary legs off.
They followed his command out of respect as they thought that's how it should be.Nyx and Erebus are untouchable to they point people didn't even make up lots of stories about them cause the stories would suck with such unrelatable entities.
If you actually read the greek myths, each generation is weaker, not stronger. the greek gods usurped the titans via treachery. the titans were weaker than the primordials. The next generation after the greek gods was man, who was destined to overthrow the gods. To postpone that, zeus did some fuckery and placed curses upon the newborn race to weaken them and make them struggle more to achieve their destiny. All of greek myth is a slow degredation from the original powers, with each one being overthrown not by stronger, but more cunning creatures. Prometheus was punished cause fire was the first step towards usurping the gods.
@@Heheha329 In GoW, Nyx and Erebus are subservenient in Hades' chtonic pantheon. They created an armor for him even. Chains of Olympus also provides alot of lore about the Greek world and that the Protegonoi serve under Zeus' cosmic order.
I think it's debatable on Thor killing Kratos Because it looked like he was knocked out rather than killed. Not only that, when you've been hit by The hammer, you're not left in one piece. The hammer has enough destructive force to split the Earth and for critics.Get hit by it and not have a skull cracked or Head smashed makes you think he was knocked out. 10:10
He was dead. The death screen overlay even began to come in before Thor said "hell nah you aint allowed to die yet!" and defibrillated him with the lightning from Mjolnir.
The only Titans who Zeus shot down at the great war was Cronos and Atlas. The other where in a limbo at time because Kratos took them to the future, so for those titans the great war event just jumped to gow 3 begining
This is definitely not a close fight. Zeus was by far the most powerful enemy Kratos has ever faced. He had every weapon, power, and ability to face Zeus. He stabbed him multiple times, used allies, had the greatest power in the entire series (Hope) and it was still a pretty close call. Zeus was a menace and I'm sure Kratos would not want a runback with him EVER
Kratos is arguably "weaker" than he used to be, to clarify he's not actually weaker if anything he's only gotten stronger as time went on, but he lacks that blood boiling rage he used to have Old Kratos if killed would just punch his way out of Tartarus and keep fighting New Kratos if killed just accepts his time has come, that's why Thor has to force you to come back to life to keep fighting in case you die to him So while Kratos is technically stronger, the fact he's not really there mentally means he is way less dangerous than he used to be
Yeah, much mature Kratos in new games. Kratos uses war techniques of Spartans and strength of God. Brute strength gods can one shot him, but Kratos wont allow that to happen. He is a warrior and general first.
Let’s end this debate once and for for all yea? Odin never created the 9 realms it’s was Ymir’s blood and dead body. Odin is weaker than Ymir, needed his brothers. Primordial in the Greek area created the universe and possibly the multiverse (would have to go back and look) by punching each other. The titans beat the primordials and the Greek gods beat the titans, kratos killed a whole primordial himself( primordial of death) thor can punch something into the past isn’t a feat that comes close to the Greek side. Thor using all his power to shake the world tree while when zues is angry can shake a whole infinite sized dimension he’s not even in. Thor isn’t even the strongest person kratos fought, just had some of the heaviest punches he’s felt, that all. It was never close and the fact that ppl don’t get this over a piece of fiction has me scared about y’all’s mental capacity for the future 💀 edit: this video gets one fundamental thing wrong. Kratos is ALWAYS holding back even in is rematch with Thor. On top of that when a Norse “god” dies not fundamental change in nature and law happens like when the Greeks gods died. Seriously it was never close to begin with
Thor isn't so much a god as he is a very powerful being whose power is enhanced by mjolnir. His power to manipulate lightning is his only godly trait. He is dumb, easily manipulated, emotionally unstable, submissive, driven to drink at the alightest of verbal abuses, he is also broken, probably Odin's doing. He is a step or two above baldur in terms of cranial capacity. He is a blunt tool. Zeus, on the other hand, more befots the description of a god in GoW universe. TBH, even Odin probably won't last more than a few minutes against Zeus. In the greek saga, Zeus outsmarted, out muscled and outmatched Kratos, and wven killed him a time or two... None of the norse "gods" are even much of a threat... actually, the valkaries were probably the closest beings to be considered as a legitimate threat ro Kratos, and they're not even considered gods.
In actual norse mythology thor is the strongest being to ever exist, the second place goes to vidarr odinsonn, thors little brother and odins secondborn. Vidarr is not mentioned a lot but he is the god who kills fenrir during ragnarok after fenrir killed odin, vidarr is the silent god of vengance and my favorite god
It's true. Like. While listening to authors bullshit about Odin being more powerful than Thor, i've been a little confused. He didn't even tried to learn anything about actual mythology
@@becas0178 i think OP is talking about physical strength. Thor may be the physically strongest but physical strength isn't everything. It's one of the themes in the entire two games of this soft reboot... not repeating past sins. Kratos starts to get a little angry and snaps Balder's neck instantly; Kratos gets a little angry and immediately puts Thor in his place. The Norse gods are not the threat in this game... Kratos degenerating back to who he was is the threat.

At around 9:30-9:45 minutes in? I had half a mind to do some in depth research on the "Titans" and "Primordials" to make a TTRPG setting that brought them back as the Big Deities, with the "Gods" still young and not quite in power, if most of them even existed at all yet. (Or alternate world where some of the Titans escaped or already lived in that the Gods never touched, allowing them to do whatever there.)... Could be a fun idea. One idea was that Gaia (the Planet herself, by whatever name you want to give her) was ONE of the top tier Titans, and she had to hold herself BACK so she didn't accidentally obliterate all life on her surface, and only one or two other Titans (Maybe other Planets themselves) were stronger or equal. Just ideas mostly. I mean if the planet exists, and has so many interpretations as a Titan or a Goddess, it would make sense that she would not go all out if she truly cared about the live living on her surface... Or maybe if destroyed would explain why the planet had only so long to live (Even if it was billions of years before burning out?). Wild ideas and lore that I think could totally be worked on by someone more organized and well-researched than I am, perhaps?
@@Fahim_0666I’ll do it for him. First of all, just bc the Norse gods have magic that let them mess with the world tree, doesn’t mean them in themselves have the power to mess with the multiverse. Zues looks down on infinite sized realms from Olympus. The Greeks gods theoretically have the power to exit their own universe, they just stay in the one they’re in, but since it’s not directly shown, we won’t 100% give it to them. The only reason kratos beat zues was bc of the power of hope and weakening zues with the sword of Olympus. If not for these, zues would’ve dog walked kratos in no time. Greeks magic is greater also. Thor doesn’t even measure up to the big three. But is definitely can go toe to toe with one of the more stronger gods like ares Athena and Apollo
May all I got to say is the story fighting the world surfing was legendary I wish we could have seen it in the game I mean I wish we could have seen it before the entire intro started Thor versus the world surfing

Let's be realistic, Thor is at the level of Ares' strength or a little weaker than him if Ares was in his giant form and because of Ares' experience and his many abilities and spells because he is the embodiment of war before Kratos and also Ares is the one who made Kratos strong and he is the one who gave him the Blades of Chaos. Thor is not a match for Zeus or even close to his power because due to the intensity of Zeus' power Kratos needed powerful weapons and every weapon rivals or equals the power of Mjolnir itself such as the claws of Hades and others. Add the Blade of Olympus which is made from the energy of Zeus himself and is the most powerful weapon in the entire series. Add to that the power of hope of Pandora's Box and due to the intensity of Zeus' power if he died the Greek world would be destroyed. If only Zeus could recover the Blade of Olympus from Kratos, he would have killed Kratos easily because it is the weapon that most affected Zeus and weakened him unlike the rest of the other weapons.
I see it that way: Thor and Kratos are clearly meant to be equals in Ragnarok, so, if Kratos gave hell to Zeus everytime they fought, so would Thor... of course, different fighters, different set of abilities, but both still pretty much in the same level (Kratos and Thor), I still think that Zeus is stronger, even without the blade of olympus, but it's like to put the heavyweight champion against the light heavyweight champion, the heavyweight has the advantage, but still very VERY competitive...
Thor and kratos aren't equal though. Thor at the end of Ragnarok whilst not holding back was overpowered multiple times by a holding back kratos. I know the video says he isn't holding back but he very much so is. Spartan rage is just a controlled version of his rage so even then he isn't going all out.
Kratos and Thor are meant to be equals. it’s just 2 great warriors battling someone has to lose plus with all kratos plot armor he’s pretty much gonna win all of his fights as long as the plot demands it. At some point he needs to face a god that dominates him or it’s just the same old wash rise and repeat method. Thor did great against kratos even killed him while they BOTH were holding back, but at some point we need a god that is stronger than kratos not just his equal.
No. They are NOT equals because Kratos never needed to use his rage to beat the crap out of him, which was clear, especially in the anticlimactic second fight of Trashnarock.
Well to be far Thor lost that end fight with Kratos because He was so blinded by his anger. Thors real weakness is his mental state which Odin took advantage of. I can Agree that Zeus would have a better chance at winning but if Thors mental state isn’t completely broken like it was at the end of Ragnarok then he’d have a better chance
Thor took 5 hits to the same area in his gut with three different weapons one of them, which is covered in his weakness, Jormangandr’s venom, hit him 3 times in the same area.

However if it's simply marvel's MCU Chris Hemsworth with The Odin force, I don't know Because MCU Thor can hold and control Lightning at will thanks to the Odin force..but if this is blood lusted God of war Zeus wins because I think the blade of Olympus does way more damage than mjnoir or storm breaker. FYI - God of war fans need to study more about mcus storm breaker that axe is way more powerful than you think. I think it depends on the location. As the game says the Greek powers are tied to the land, if Zeus went to Norse lands he would have no magic. The Norse though it doesn't seem to be tied to the land so Thor would still have power in Greece. On the matter of the sword being able to take godhood, I think that's just godhood that was in that land, so I'm not sure that Zeus would be able to make Thor mortal. Its been stated by the creator that Kratos is more powerful in the recent games than his time in Greece. Thor literally killed him and ressurected him. Its that simple
He doesn’t have more power at all, he stronger because he can control his anger. Kratos hasn’t trained at all ever since he left Greece. Also gods don’t get stronger just by working out or whatever, because they can’t boost their strength like mortals do. They would be born with whatever power level they had. For example, Zeus in the game was a child and couldn’t defeat his father since he an infant and when he grew up, he now capable of defeating his father. Gaia didn’t trained him or anything but just watch over him until he reached adulthood. Zeus was already born with a high level of power that’s meant for him to have a higher status.

It's even stated in the game a few times that they weren't a warrior race. They were arcticians, curators and a people of peace. But warriors, they were not. Thor is God of Thunder across all the realms and capable of destroying every being should Odin deem it necessary to restore order. Zeus is toast. He's only an Earthbound God. His home base is literally a mountain in Greece. Not only that, he has a final resting place on Yuchtas Mount in Crete. Irrefutable proof that he is not immune to death. Doesn't help much that the Greeks believe everything happens on Earth and that there's no concept of a universe in their eyes.

Old kratos>>>>young kratos, baldur>all Greek enemies, black breath>Greek magic, Odin>all gods kratos has fought, Thor fracturing yggdrasil(tree that transcends time and space and possibly contains infinite timelines+holding the 9 realms), shaking the 9 realms fighting jorm, Odin killing ymir and creating 6 realms from his corpse etc. don't even start with kratos "holding back" lmfao he just doesn't let his rage control him. Already made clear in the novel he wasn't holding back shit against baldur so why would he hold back against Thor💀
It's true Zuez and Thor are insane powerhouses. Now the part mentioning domiating Kratos is just a sneak attack nothing more. It only counts as domination if both parties clash head on and one pushes over the other which Kratos did as Zuez was no longer able to use sneak attacks. Thor made it look like he's stronger only because as he kept going on about Kratos was holding back. His punches to Thor's face at the start of the fight were not the same as the last punch that knocked a tooth out of Thor's mouth.
If we were realm swapping I’d agree, if Thor went to Greece Zeus would end him with a thought, but if Zeus went to Midgard it would be a different story altogether because Zeus has no control over Midgards magics. I’d have to say that if they met in neutral ground it would depend on each of their masteries. I’d wager to bet that Zeus’s strategy would fall to killing Thor before he could close the distance because in a match of sheer brute strength Thor would destroy Zeus.
If we're going by the original myths, Greek immortals can't die. They can only be injured and mutilated like Hephaestus and Prometheus. Clue is in the word 'immortal' XD but Norse gods do die in their myths, probably indicating that they're not really immortal but more likely ageless
Cool video, but probably pisses lots of people off. Cory Barlog has said old Kratos gets stronger, but he also said he made the game (2018) after he became a father himself, and some of his experiences are mirrored with Kratos. For this to be a real and honest discussion, it really should include the opinion of the guy that created the entire mythos of God of War, David Jaffe. In early versions of the original idea pitch, he had ideas already in place about other pantheons being involved. He has spoken about the fact he didn't like many of the changes that were made to Kratos, and has stated after the events of Ares, and the manipulation of Kratos by the Greek Gods, Kratos is just a monster, a damaged and broken monster. Jaffe didn't have anything to do with the new games, just like Barlog only contributed to GOW III after the first several months. Many of the older fans continue to say Kratos is holding back, because it really does look that way compared to older games. I like both, honestly and I'm glad new people have been brought into the series. However, I'll always defer to the creator of the IP for these types of discussions. It is analogous to someone taking the entire new approach of Star Wars characters as a new director would suggest, and toss out what George Lucas considers as the correct story and interpretation. His version always wins, because he created it entirely. Same thing in this scenario with Jaffe.

Fun fact in the original material from which the game Kratos was pulled from Kratos was the God of Strength in the Greek pantheon.

I need those for a debate
You should really provide *feats.* Idle chatter doesn't prove anything except the lack of evidence you're willing to show. The top comment states Zeus survived being stabbed MULTIPLE times by the Blade of Olympus, presumably the strongest weapon in GoW because ANOTHER comment mentions Freya admitting that the Greek pantheon was far more gifted with magic.
Said developer statements literally confirm that Odin is the biggest threat in the entire franchise and that Kratos’s spartan skills will be tested like never before. @@liammcguire1954 Yeah, no. They outright said Odin wasn't as powerful as Zeus. You're right about the codex and Cory Barlog saying old Kratos is more powerful than young Kratos, however.
Bro Thor got killed by Thor, let that sink in.

Thor: “Does this mean we’re BFFs?”

Fear was also a massive intellectual handicap, without which Zeus and his universe ruling pantheon would have dealt with Kratos and Gaia very quickly.
Kratos is arguably "weaker" than he used to be, to clarify he's not actually weaker if anything he's only gotten stronger as time went on, but he lacks that blood boiling rage he used to have
Old Kratos if killed would just punch his way out of Tartarus and keep fighting
New Kratos if killed just accepts his time has come, that's why Thor has to force you to come back to life to keep fighting in case you die to him
So while Kratos is technically stronger, the fact he's not really there mentally means he is way less dangerous than he used to be
Yeah, much mature Kratos in new games. Kratos uses war techniques of Spartans and strength of God. Brute strength gods can one shot him, but Kratos wont allow that to happen. He is a warrior and general first.
"Why Gamora vs Deathstroke is not even close"

Zeus got it .

Do Hercules vs Thor. I think Hercules edges Thor on raw strength, but Thor edges Herc on raw power and abilities.
The Nemean cestus should be on par with Mjolnir.
The Cestus are easily more powerful, they can break Onyx like only the Blade of Olympus could.
Weapons of the mighty Hercules.

Zeus vs Thor, Zeus wins high diff
Fear Zeus vs Thor, Zeus wins no diff
Well to be far Thor lost that end fight with Kratos because He was so blinded by his anger. Thors real weakness is his mental state which Odin took advantage of. I can Agree that Zeus would have a better chance at winning but if Thors mental state isn’t completely broken like it was at the end of Ragnarok then he’d have a better chance
He also was exhausted after his fight with jormungandr
And now I’m thinking I would really love to see him fight. Thor and the Greek real Thor would stand less of a chance there.
Thor is the strongest norse god
Maybe not the most powerful but the most strongest
Don't confuse strong with power
Zeus one shotted Gia and bloodlusted kratos . A feat that is impossible for any god

@Nothingtoseriousfkratos was badly injured by the blast
@princevegeta2715 *no he wasn't, he fell into the river Styx which wounded him, not the lightning bolt.*
Thor took 5 hits to the same area in his gut with three different weapons one of them, which is covered in his weakness, Jormangandr’s venom, hit him 3 times in the same area.
Zeus was hit by sword of olympus 7 times, the sword that literally takes all your powers away and kills you as well, the sword that oneshotted gods.

Thor(GOW Ragnarok) would body Zeus into a bloody pulp.
Are you 4?
Well actually God of war Zeus is pretty close planetary destruction level in power scaling.
Stated by the producers of marvel's avengers and Thor, if Thor wanted to unleash it's full power of the bifrost it can destroy earth with one powerful blow
Greek fodder beings like Ouranos and Nyx would destroy the whole norse tribal "pantheon"
@@ForSparta3195 no he's not above planetary no where is it proven God of war gods including kratos are multiversal. Greece and Scandinavia are on the same earth. Kratos never time traveled to get to the Norse realms the fallen gods comic said he was Roaming the earth for about 500 years through Egypt. The comics also proves he was dragged into Midgard by two wolves. The mythology gods are not multiversal they are city to planetary depending on feats. Kratos is not the most powerful character in gow it's actually Athena and Thoth who sit in the twilight realm as watchers of earth.
@@ForSparta3195 no that's not even proven to be valid
I think it depends on the location. As the game says the Greek powers are tied to the land, if Zeus went to Norse lands he would have no magic. The Norse though it doesn't seem to be tied to the land so Thor would still have power in Greece. On the matter of the sword being able to take godhood, I think that's just godhood that was in that land, so I'm not sure that Zeus would be able to make Thor mortal. If anything it would be a really close fight.
The most impressive magic in the nine realms os probably the curse on baulder
*Looks sideways to that one greek hero with basically the same power, but he wasn't nearly as important*
Achilles ain't even in God of War plus he was just kinda unharmed by mortal means only

That doesnt mean much. The force doesnt do anything to someone as powerful as kratos.@watappp
You forget the part when Kratos was heavily holding back and when he stopped that was only 20% of his power
Its been stated by the creator that Kratos is more powerful in the recent games than his time in Greece. Thor literally killed him and ressurected him. Its that simple
and Devs confirm he was holding back lol
He doesn’t have more power at all, he stronger because he can control his anger. Kratos hasn’t trained at all ever since he left Greece. Also gods don’t get stronger just by working out or whatever, because they can’t boost their strength like mortals do. They would be born with whatever power level they had. For example, Zeus in the game was a child and couldn’t defeat his father since he an infant and when he grew up, he now capable of defeating his father. Gaia didn’t trained him or anything but just watch over him until he reached adulthood. Zeus was already born with a high level of power that’s meant for him to have a higher status.
@@lordyoda9382Kratos trained through Fimbulwinter for Ragnarok and is even narratively implied. Ragnarok Kratos is the most powerful version of Kratos to date
@@Fahim_0666 He did prepare himself for Fimbulwinter, but he didn’t get stronger physically. Gods don’t get stronger just by training, like mortals do.
Devs confirmed that Zeus would beat the Norse gods like Baldur and Thor then they said the better question to ask would be Zeus vs Odin but the devs didn’t answer that it’s for us to decide which means they’re closer in power than it seems. They did poorly show Odin in the games but in the lore and novels he’s much MUCH better and definitely lives up to be an equal to Zeus.
The thing is, Thor was using his full strength when fighting Kratos while Kratos is holding back trying to be a better person. If we had the OG Kratos where he was full of rage and demon time the fight between him and thor would’ve been over in the first game. The only time you see the OG Kratos is when his son is in danger and unleashes the rage he holds and bottles up.
Black Adam vs General Zod
The fight with Thor. Kratos was holding back.
Thor is strong, But Zeus is a "High Father" like Odin(in the GoW universe to be Honest Zeus is Stronger then Odin by a light years), even agaist Kratos he just die because Plot demands, there is no way to thor even have a chance.
Zeus being “a high father” doesn’t justify a win for him lol. Thor destroys Zeus

One small detail I wanted to point out. Yeah, Thor killed all the Giants, but you called the Giants warriors when they definitely weren't. It's even stated in the game a few times that they weren't a warrior race. They were arcticians, curators and a people of peace. But warriors, they were not. Which is why they went into hiding in the first place and fought to survive rather than stay, fight, and be killed off entirely.

Wouldn't a fight analysis between Zues and Odin be more fair here?
Ares alone is clearly superior to all Norse Gods as seen in his depiction and feats in the GoW 1 Game and Novel.
Clearly has more raw power than Thor and more hax than Odin + Freya combined.
Zeus towers above the mortal Aesir tribe.
The Norse Gods didnt live up to the Greek ones, not in lore, not in godhood and certainly not by feats.
With their mere voice alone Ares, Poseidon and Zeus tremble infinite realms to the core.
All the insane haxfeats that the Greeks displayed tower above the Norse ones, even tho they are innate power of the Greek Gods and not some hyped up "ancient magic" or whatever lol
Just face it, kids.
Yep, Ares even created his own dimension just to toy with kratos during their final fight.
All of this is bs let’s discuss this on Disc lol
Kid, get off your copioids.
Odin created a universal system of realms. Nine in total, including Earth (Midgard).
We rewriting the script wit this one. 🔥
Thor demolishes Greek gow lol. feats and inverse all show Norse>Greek.
If MCU Thor then yes Zeus wins but if Ruin King Thor then good by Zeus.
Thor in GOW is suffering from congestive heart failure and sleep apnea. 😂
I think Kratos was confused about the time travel cause Freya said their was no such magic like the Greek realm
He was only that bad ass in the GoW universe because of Mjolnir. That’s it.
