      Football "A game created by the working class! And ruined by the rich. Good luck. Always AFC route take core fans. I doubt unless they make that stadium closer it will ever change. Beware the Premier whores and the FA where are they? Social cleansing? Class War? Liberties.

      Del Strain the frustrating thing is, a well designed football stadium would have worked, West’s Ham still have their working class support, it was just all delivered wrong for them.

      Jonogroats123~ It's all about money and greed. I'm from Ireland and a Liverpool supporter. I feel for the West Ham supporters. Those three brown nosed c#$%s are literally running this into the ground. It was hard to watch some of the protest scenes today at the Burnley game but you can feel that frustration simmering to.a boil. Just watch how the media put a really negative spin on the story tomorrow (Sunday)

      Oh really? And running away away to Essex in our tens of thousands since the late 90, like homosexual fairies, relinquishing our homeland, our culture and our identity to appease blacks and Muslims and multicultralism has somehow enriched West Ham United? Lol! Maybe West Ham fans are the problem, have you ever thought about that?

    • @sonnythesnowball
      @sonnythesnowball 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd rather a tory and a pair of dildos than today's regular "bird brain" West Ham supporter, or a Majority Muslim/black population throughout our homeland.

      @Tommy Dunne the Tories have only recently became pro-immigration in the last 20 years or so ago. It was the socialist scum of the Labour party that was responsible for mass third world immigration that has changed our country for the worst. Labour have been working diligently at the great replacement since the early 70s. Dirty socialist scum they are, and the Tories are almost as bad now.

    I am an American that occasionally did business in London. I absolutely adored my time there and I was befriended by someone who was born and raised in East London. Anytime there was a match, and I was in town, he took me to Boleyn. Now, I don't pretend to be a real West Ham fan, but I love the club, and I support them. I remember the warmth I received from Hammer supporters, and despite the fact I was a Yank, they took me in. They didn't have to, but they did. That culture is something that I hold dear as someone who knew about football, but wanted to learn so much more. I think that was sensed by the community, and they were happy to teach me.
    I haven't been to olympic park, even though I watch the games from the States. I only have a small sample of how much the places I went to meant to the community. I will always support the Irons, but this saddens me for what this move did to this community.
    As for what I consider real West Ham fans, thanks for making me feel welcome. COYI.

    I watched Sullivan’s attitude towards us Birmingham fans when we got word he was slating us. Him and abrady tried to get a licence for a super casino in Brum which would have helped fund a new stadium, but once the licence went to the NEC, that was the beginning of the end of their relationship with us. Sold us to a Chinese guy he didn’t like and knew was a criminal in HongKong. Glad to see the back of him and Brady. We have had so much damage done to us because of who he sold us to, shame on him. Good luck to the hammers fans, good bunch, you deserve better.

      Sad reality is, top level football is all about money these days. Yes, we’d all love to go back to the good old days but life isn’t like that. We’ve moved and now we just have to make the most of it. I want the seats next to the pitch to give a better atmosphere and players fit to wear the shirt. It will take time but I hope and believe it will happen. #COYI

    It s what I’ve always said,they are rebranding you right in front of your eyes,and it’s not right, your castle represents exactly who you are, that’s your roots you cannot just wipe that out.
    As much as we got our rivalries for me and most Chelsea lads the best away day experience was West Ham Away, it had everything you wanted as far as the football experience is concerned.
    West Ham Away has turned into the greatest experience to the worst, it doesn’t feel anything like it was or how it should be anymore.
    Top lads Andy is proper West Ham, always was, wishing you boys all respect

    • @TrephineArtist
      @TrephineArtist 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree to an extent but we didn't always have the castle on the badge (although I suppose it could also represent Castle swifts who came before Thames Ironworks, even though most people including the board don't seem to have heard of them), even whilst at the Boleyn Ground (or Upton Park as most people used to call it. The Hammers are the most important thing about the club crest in my opinion.

      Exactly the same rebranding happened at Arsenal. On the Arsenal badge they got rid of the Islington coat of arms, an important part of Arsenal's identity, and put a cartoon-looking cannon in its place. It was done for marketing reasons. Football is a business nowadays. It's not a sport any more and West Ham fans need to deal with that fact.

    • @StephenButlerOne
      @StephenButlerOne 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      What does the castle represent? Always wondered.
      From a Liverpool fan, our badge has chang3d a lot over the years, I'm glad its currently back to what it should be. A simple liverbird. Though I could see some in in early 20s could argue the badge should have the (Shankly) gates and the ever-burning flames, that was introduced in 92. I was sad they kept that badge on once the centenary year finished.

    Hello. I'm not a "Hammers fan" as such, i'm actually a Glasgow Rangers and Liverpool fan from the mid 70's, having said that ,... West Ham Utd have always and always will have a special place in my heart.They are my favourite London Club, i love the Club Anthem ...🎤🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵"Forever Blowing Bubbles"....💙👏👏👏. The most famous of all "Hammers" fans ... the one and only "Alf Garnett".💙👍👌 from the first Club Captain i can recall .. the legendary Bobby Moore and Billy Bonds onto Sir Trevor Brooking and guys like Phil Parkes etc .. I think it is absolutely disgusting and really and truly sad what the Board have done to the Club's fans, duping you all like they have, and that is the truth of it all. I really hope and pray the Hammers don't get relegated this year. Onwards and Upwards Guys and Gals. All the very best to the Action Group and i mean that from the bottom of my Heart. "Up the Hammers". .😉👍👍💙👏👏

    50 years a Hammer. My Primary School team, same colours Claret & Blue. First words I could read looking at my Dad's Littlewoods Pools coupon was West Ham. Been a season ticket holder, a private box dweller, through the relegations and shocking Cup defeats to Mansfield, Blackpool, Wrexham, Nott County, Heresford etc the 6-0 drubbing from Oldham in the League Cup Semi, standing at Old Trafford as they put 7 past us in the FA Cup 1999. Took it all because I related to the history of the Club at its roots and there was always a very good day around the corner. The 2nd Play-Off tie vs Ipswich when Etherington & Daily scored I was behind that goal. The noise was deafening that night virtually the entire game. Always felt that it wasn't about winning the league every season and then getting irritated because our goal difference wasn't as good as last season's league winning campaign - I know what it's like to 'expect' success, its unrealistic. Worked on a record that was #1 for 6 weeks in the UK National Charts (Black Box) the summer of '89 and was disappointed when it didn't last a 7th week, then had to check myself to remember 6 weeks was incredible.
    This is my take on the new stadium. A few years back I was in Rome and went to The Colosseum, built AD 70. The 80'000 capacity building has been through fires, two earthquakes, WWII, the legendary Rome rain, which can go on for 3 days non-stop, and nearly 400 years of Gladiator death sport. The soil of the venue is seeped with the blood, sweat, tears, DNA and anguish of those days. The morning I took the tour I was at the back of the group being educated by the tour guide. As we got to the top, when you can see the full circumference of the venue, I stood still, letting the rest of the group wander on and just took in the magnificence of it all, then it hit me - the energy of all that madness is still in the air coming up from the ground. You can feel it, sense it. It is still there that energy....
    What's the point with reference WHUFC ?
    That deep in that the Boleyn Ground soil was the DNA, blood, sweat and tears of the players who had fought for the club in over a 2'398 home games from those 112 years.
    That West Ham United energy is not in the soil of the Olympic Stadium.
    For comparison Anfield, has 128 years of Liverpool footballers DNA, blood, sweat and tears deep in its soil. Sometimes football miracles happen on that pitch when the fans, the team and history all come together to over-power the opposition like the 4-0 victory over Barcelona last season. That's not just a leather ball full of air being kicked by 22 men wearing leather football boots. Its the the other factor too. The eternal spirit of the club from all of those 128 years. Ditto 128 years at Celtic Park for Celtic. 102 years for Man Utd at Old Trafford.
    The last game, of 2'398, at the Boleyn Ground is a point in case. Man Utd, playing with every intent to spoil the party, were simply run over by the will-power of the fans, the West Ham players and that "no you fucking won't" energy from the ground. You all saw that on TV and if you were there that night you felt it.
    West Ham United have been uprooted from its history, deep soil and DNA. Sullivan, Gold and Brady would never understand the need to factor that into the equation of moving to the OS, an idea they took from the previous Icelandic ownership. A borrowed idea ill-conceived and executed. For it to work the OS pitch needed to have been the Boleyn Ground pitch from its deep roots and the fans right on top of the pitch to retain something of that old 112 year energy with some of its true DNA. But that old pitch is no more, gone forever with all of its West Ham football enriched history. Without it the club is a rudderless ship, unrecognizable to its origins and maybe finished in the not too distant future. I say that with a heavy heart as a Hammer of over 50 years with his red, three lions #10 England shirt signed by Geoff Hurst still carefully wrapped.
    Energy. We are all energy, we live on a ball of energy traveling about 1.6 million miles a day at 66,627 mph., everything we do needs energy, to breath, eat, drink, to work, to procreate, even to sleep.
    112 years of full passion energy from an estimated 38'368,000* souls cheering and playing those 2'398 home games was a deep investment in spirit that is now lost. In truth, so are many of the fans..
    * 2'398 home games X an average 15'000 fans = 38 million people.

    I'm a Spurs fan, so I don't even like your club, but I can't help feel a bit sorry about what has been done to your club. Your club has been destroyed by the greed of your board. The video is fine, but I'm afraid now that Upton Park has gone it is all too little too late.

    I will never accept the Emirates as Arsenal's spiritual home and have only been once (never again) I will watch Arsenal away at 'proper' football grounds what's left of them, but even though I can never stop supporting them since 1968 I have tried to get enthusiastic about my local non league side Dulwich Hamlet a team I went to watch as an 8 year old, it just doesn't sit right. I really feel for West Ham fans leaving the Boleyn ground. It was my first visit to an away game around 1970 and the atmosphere was electric, the crowd was so close to the pitch that they had those 'funny' goal posts like hockey nets(West Ham fans will know what I mean lol) I was up the South bank and it all kicked off as a 12 year old I was terrified, but these two stunning West Ham girls (about 16) took me under their wing and made sure I didn't get hurt. It's ironic and a bloody shame that WH moved from a stadium known for it's intimacy to a huge characterless bowl almost designed to kill atmosphere. I used to hate Stamford Bridge because of it's perimeter track and counted my blessings I'd been taken to Highbury because our family was from Woolwich and had Grandads and Great uncles who had worked in 'The Royal Arsenal' Thing is I have no solution which is depressing the EPL is supposedly the most watched in the world yet our grounds are like morgues re atmosphere when compared with Germany, Italy, Spain etc Our prices are extortionate and one day the 'prawn sandwich, 'sit down you're spoiling Ruperts view brigade' are going to get bored and leave on mass and that will be the end because the big clubs no longer function as a home for fans, but purely as money making businesses for the fat cats.

    This video that you boy's have put together is very heart warming and makes you feel quiet touched with emotion.. I've lived in Hampshire all my life but all my family were born and raised in the east end.. Hackney, plaistow, and Shoreditch.. Would travel up to upton park with my dad as a kid and the whole buzz of the day out with everything thrown in will stay with me forever.. Just like thousands of us that feel the same just want to have that similar feeling again, and i for one Don't have any good vibes coming from this new place, i have tried to give o.s the benefit of the doubt with 3 visit's to watch game's but it must change for me to get some sort of feeling for the place.. Lots need to improve....

    Don't have the data to watch the video but is the statement :
    WHUFC got an absolute bargain in the terms offered in moving to the Olympic Stadium.
    Is that true?
    Or is the fan's dissatisfaction more about things like atmosphere etc. ..

    As a Man City fan I really feel for you guys, we all felt exactly the same - heartbroken - when we left Maine Road. The Etihad will never be Maine Road but what we have built there is some amazing football memories (winning the title, derby victories, beating Barcelona etc). I think this is the problem for West Ham, because times are crap on the pitch now your only fond memories are in the past - we were just the same. But again, your board are to blame, lack of investment in the team despite what they promised. Believe me though, if you can get rid of these muppets and get someone in who actually knows how to run a football club and who can bring you success on the pitch you will create your own memories at your new stadium. Hard to accept, but you can never go back :-( Good luck guys

    At Leeds they tried this on when we were flying high in the Champions League 20 years ago. They rigged a 'poll' among the season ticket holders and claimed a majority of us wanted to move to a new plastic Meccano style monstrosity well out of the City next to the Sewerage works of all locations! I couldn't find a single season ticket holder who voted to move. The only reason it didn't happen is we went bust just after the 'poll ' so we dodged a bullet and thank God we stayed at our true home Elland Road .

    I would love to have a bit of glory, but I don’t want glory in a athletics stadium a badge that doesn’t represent West Ham, and more money for the board. Etc...
    Was Upton Park a proper West Ham stadium and fit for football? YES. Did we love going there every week? YES. Did we have traditions and traders on the street that we wanted to pass on to the next generation? YES. Was it my 2nd home? YES.Why would you leave? PROFIT.
    just look at Man City, do you respect them? No. Do other fans of other football clubs call them plastic? YES. Do they attract tourists? YES. Is this the real West Ham? NO. We are that working class club who would win and lose and have a good time at Upton Park.
    Could we have extended Upton Park? YES easily with a bit of investment and common sense, 45,000 or ever 42,000 would have been perfect for West Ham.
    That’s my rant over, I’m so angry that the board have taken everything I loved about West Ham away, I don’t give a flying fuck about next level, I want glory for West Ham United, not for profit, merchandise etc.., winning stuff at an athletics stadium (won’t happen) would be less enjoyable than winning a play off final or London Derby at Upton Park!

    I have been going to Upton Park since 1974 , had some great times over there , 1976 ECWC Semi Final v Frankfurt , , Boys of '86 , 2 cup runs to Wembley '75 & '80 , Relegation battles , promotions . Walking from Upton Park station to the ground gave me goose Bumps .
    But the Olympic stadium is just that , an Athletics Stadium . I know there's no going back to Upton Park .
    But Gold , Sullivan and The Bitch (i can't abide saying her name) have literally killed the community around the old ground . And Gold promised them they were going to the Olympic Stadium .
    As someone else on here said West Ham died after the last game at Upton Park. I have been to a few games at the OS , i will never set foot in there again until it becomes a proper football ground , and we can play Home games on Boxing Day

    Ill be at the March to show my support that how things go on during transfers need to change aswell as us fans actually being listened to. But in all honesty what can we do? We wont be going back to the Boleyn and in terms of the badge, yes it has London on it. Is it really a big deal if tourists buy it simply because of the London on it? I'm happy as long as the money raised goes towards improving the club. We never used to have a castle on the badge so to me I don't really mind the simple style we now have.
    The new stadium can be a great place to go but it requires investment from the board to make it work and for us fans to stand up and make noise to get the team playing. I don't completely hate the new stadium as my view distance is the same as when I saw West Ham at Wembley but it does need a lot of improvements. Security is just way too slow, they can never decide if you should be patted down or scanned and simply there are not enough to get us all through fast enough but it is better to last season where you couldn't even get to the turnstiles because of the pat downs.
    Hopefully this march will open the owners eyes and make them start listening to us fans. I'm glad that Sullivan has said he will step back when it comes to transfers but ill believe it when I see it.

    I live in the states now, but going to Upton Park, the chicken run was incredible. The pitch was right close to the stands. I remember one game the ball going into the stands, I remember throwing the ball back to Pat Holland, I remember he rested against the wall on the chicken run, and said something to some supporters laughing and took the throw in. It was so personal... incredible...

    I've supported the club for 4 years I use to hate football and especially West Ham because they way the media show the club to be but after a little research I realized the media was lying, and after seeing the fans in action I knew I wanted to be a West Ham fan because home or away we make the players feel proud to support the club Brady, Gold and Sullivan DON'T support the club at all understand you have to make money and a business perspective is needed but they've made it 99% business and 1% fans it's heartbreaking to see a legendary stadium demolished into rubble
    Moyes needs to spend money on defence and a goalie selling 2 strikers and bring in 1 who doesn't even have 1 goal every 2 games isn't good enough spend 30-50 million on a striker I've done research we don't pay for anything the council pays all the fees we've got money going to the club but not going out

    The telling thing about our whole movement is that the board have not taken legal action against us because they cannot refute anything that's been raised against them.
    I'm Mile End, I loved my pilgrimage to Upton Park each week. I'm in 215 now and me and the three I'm with get all the rotten looks because we're working class lads who get excited, swear and try to make some racket.
    It's a tragedy what's happening with football in this country as we're not the only clubs suffering boards taking the piss of the supporters and ripping the heritage and culture out.
    Thanks to everyone involved in fighting to get our club back.

    Have not seen arsenal since, and never will again
    Highbury will always be what arsenal was for me, standing on the north bank as a kid
    For me, arsenal is dead, highbury is gone
    So i understand what these west ham fans feel like. Highbury went and so did my love for arsenal.

    Have supported West Ham for 46 years, since I was 8. Nothing or nobody has left such permanent scars on our club than the current management. You can look anywhere at how things were and their hand of destruction is evident. This video actually brought me to tears with the graphic, no-nonsense way it showed how ordinary working class members of the community have been brushed aside, just like us fans. Good luck with the march on the 10th, unfortunately I’m in Brisbane, Australia and have been suffering from chronic pain and nerve paralysis issues since 2005, otherwise I would fly over and join up with you all. So you go through all this for months, plan a date for a march knowing people where even flying in from all over for March 10th (it's mentioned in your video). Have a mtg where the dildo brothers don't even show up only to get more lies from the board in a public letter. Then don't consult anyone else or do a poll and just think you 2 can decide on your own to cancel everything. What happened to all the money raised? Why the disregard to other groups and members of your own group by cancelling without consulting anyone? So you complain about the board and lies and do the exact same thing? What a embarrassment you twats are, I'm sure you will regret yesterday for the rest of your lives. Hope the backroom payoff was worth it.
