It's really funny to see how the GBC version is what the NES game would look like without any lag (AKA if you overclocked your NES in an emulator like Mesen or Nintendulator, something like that). Gotta go fast. I should say, it's odd but cool to see there's a lot of stuff behind Sachen and whatever the heck came of this port, letalone such being available on the internet at all. Wasn't sure why Buzz Lightyear showed up as a boss in a Sonic clone of all things, but meh. Also, you said you wanted to see someone do a No Damage run of the GBC version? On a random day, I may try this, considering the NES version can be managed by making the shortest route to beating the game. If the GBC version also has the "multiple exits" mechanic, I'll further consider going for it. I don't have to be the first, but it's a good thought to challenge yourself.
i like the timer bar for the subtitles very much, because it lets me know know: • how much time i have to read the subtitle or pause the video before it goes away • how fast the subtitle goes away when i unpause this lets me pause and unpause at much better times than if the timer bar was not in the video
These past couple of days I've been watching every classic pgt video from seasons 1-7 and now I've made it to the final one. Shame this was the final one but I love the new direction this new series is going.
god this video was amazing in particular. I loved the info segment regarding how Sachen handled GBC ports. I never knew about that in particular. The ending in this one too was satisfying and funny too, I liked it. A great way to end a season of PGT.
I feel like if this game was hacked somewhat to make the protagonist centered and hitboxes are fixed, it would be pretty decent, I doubt that will happen however
Last year on my 14th birthday I got a bootleg console from AliExpress or Ebay called GameStick 4K Lite which plays games from PS1, GB, GBC, NES, SNES, GBA, Arcade and Atari 2600 consoles. Almost all of the games (except for one Star Wars NES game released only in Japan that only makes a really loud noise and crashes after I get a game over and some PS1 games which don't play music during the openings) run perfectly fine with no issues. It contained some bootleg games that are really rare or don't appear to be found on multicarts like Red Pig (which is a hack of TaleSpin that replaces Baloo with an original character) and Crash Bandicoot (which can be only found on the Family Karaoto). You can add more games to it by putting the SD card into a flashdrive and add some roms and all set!
Im convinced they possibly just ripped all the code from chen, aswell as the engine and sprites, and optimised a few things and that how they made this
