Really nice job. My fav features are the slide-out AC and the huge open screened view at the bed. I hope it gives you many great years to relax and enjoy.
Love when he says switched to a single bed because his wife didn’t want to go camping 😂 Knew a guy that was married 60 years I asked him what the secret was to a long marriage? He replied stay gone and give her money 😆😆😆
Hey I live in a 6 by 12 with two dogs. I just really want to say thank you so much for all the inspiration and ideas. I can’t thank you enough. I also want to give a big thanks to everyone allowing us to see the inside. I’m so private I totally appreciate the vulnerability🎉🎉🎉
Another Great Video! That A/C track with noodles is GENIUS! I was just thinking about an A/C wall unit last night but couldn't figure out how to keep the condensation and heat out! I may have to start off in my VAN before I can get the trailer. I was going to build a false wall in my van but I think that track system would be perfect! Thank you for sharing your Cargo Conversion! It's always fun watching the creativity and learning new ideas. Looks like the knee replacements went well (seem to be standing and walking ok 🙂). I've Been in a wheelchair waiting for both of mine (total knee replacement) since 2019! It's been a long wait but of course, had I not had so much down time, I probably never would have spent such an enormous amount of time watching TH-cam videos where I never would have found the whole "cargo conversion community". It all worked out. God has perfect timing and it never seems to be inline with my impatience😁. Thanks again for sharing your CC. GOD IS GOOD, JESUS IS LORD, SALVATION IS AVAILABLE TO ALL WHO REPENT.
I need a trailer with the same dimensions, but I need the All Aluminum trailer because it’ll be towed by a Tacoma TRD Off Road with the 318 horsepower 3.5L V6.
I really love how you and Deb work as a team and you have for great work on both trailers. A great inspiration for me get out do something, one thing I'd like know is what about insurance for the trailer, is it insured as a RV
It's a really great looking build but a question, please? In your shower it looked like 2x4's or some kind of wood. If so why not have used PVC board since it's in a wet area? Again a really nice looking home on wheels!!!!!!!
Very nice build. I got an Aluminium 7x16 and at 1870lbs empty I am hoping to keep no more than 3500lbs when done max, lighter if I can. My max tow is 4k with my Maverick, 10% rule would be 400lbs tongue. Worried about tongue weight as it seems lots of folks seem to build a lot of weight into the front as it is the most practical place to put lots of stuff. Lots of things to think about this winter for the build next year. Cheers
In addition, cargo trailers will start out with a heavier tongue weight than a traditional RV, because Cargo Trailers have the axle center line further back at 60%. They do that because, typically a cargo trailer will be hauling a car, or lawnmower equipment, or a motorcycle, side by side etc towards the back.
@@billanddeb Yep, I am thinking of doing a rolling kitchen unit that can be rolled between fold down twin beds slightly at/behind the axles during travel. Also thinking of mounting Senville AC toward the back on passenger side. So much to think about Cheers
He used a typical RV cargo hatch. They're available in a variety of sizes. Just simply Google RV cargo hatch, or RV baggage doors. Several will pop up. Your best sources will probably be E Trailer or Rec Pro or Amazon.
WoW very impressed Tommy...beautiful craftsmanship. I have a 6x10 WeeRoll single axle trailer that l equipped. Had to stay small with my towing capability n budget. Mine's a little rougher but vy comfortable. My spouse can no longer camp cause of back issues. I was struck by the mention of camping around folks to not be so lonely. Can you elaborate more on that as it sounds interesting?
That's the beauty of building or retrofitting, everyone has their needs. He was m waning that he was attending a rendevous and meeting like minded people. Our next one is in Florida Feb 20-27.
Bill you always have interesting and quality people to interview and the product looks better than store bought ! Do you and Deb ever come by Greenville,Sc area maybe oconee state park ? I would like to check out one of your rondevous some day. Do you post a calender of events ? Thanks again Pat
We haven't been posting a calendar of events yet, mainly because the "Rendezvous" are still in their infant stage, and the turnouts for these events have surprised both me and Deb. For the foreseeable future, these events will be held at US ARMY CORP OF ENGINEER campgrounds and we will announce dates and locations 6 months in advance. COE campgrounds will only let you reserve a spot 6 months in advance. We are considering a few campgrounds around Central Alabama sometime in October. We will be announcing the location and dates sometime around the end of April to first of May. For now, all we can suggest is,,,,,,, stay tuned to the channel. 😁
Thank you Bill and Deb for another excellent video. The a/c unit is a neat idea. My wife and I are just starting to do research on all you videos. Do you happen to have contact information for this gentlemen. I wanted to ask him for more details about his solar setup. Thank you. Gary
He didn't say, but most likely the hatch was installed at the manufacturer. Hatches like that are readily available. Rock Solid is very accommodating concerning extras like this. They'll provide and install most any door, window, Hatch pretty much wherever you want it.
We just purchased a Rock Solid today from Southern Trailer Depot. We asked about a custom size hatch door for AC. Jerry, the sales manager said no. We'll order online.
You can find them on line from a variety of manufacturers. Just type in the search window "RV baggage access hatch" and several will pop up. Amazon is probably the best source.
Another creative build. Love the plexiglass shower floor. The AC slide is genius. A true Techie with a full desk workstation! Love it!

I love these videos. Now I need to find a job my husband can do on the road. We aren’t able to retire quite yet.

Truly awesome design

great job

Would spray foam insulation be better in these cargo trailers?
Did he mention the brand/model of camera dvr?
I need to know too!
If you buy the trailer, from the factory with the roof and wall insulation....is that adequate? Any opinions?
We just did not feel that the factory would do as good a job as we would do.
@@billanddeb I can see that. You do a really good/thorough job! Thanks for the insight, it is appreciated!
Love this one!
It's awesome
I Like it. Did he build the A/C hatch door or buy and install it or have factory do it.?

i came to comments to ask/look for that same question. I saw the same concept in a very DIY cargo conversion, but this one looks great!
We just purchased a Rock Solid today from Southern Trailer Depot. We asked about a custom size hatch door for AC. Jerry, the sales manager said no. We'll order online.
Where did you get that access door from? Or did you build it yourself?
You can find them on line from a variety of manufacturers. Just type in the search window "RV baggage access hatch" and several will pop up. Amazon is probably the best source.
Bill would you the name & model of the Camera System
Please and Thank you so much
I would, but I don't recall. I should be seeing Tommy in a few weeks. Remind me to ask him.
Remember to ask Tommy about the Camera. 🙏 Thanks so very much
Ok FYI it’s 6 degrees in Nebraska
I guess the small ac was chosen so you wouldnt have to cut any studs
Yes. And it still does the job.
Yes. And it still does the job.
How big (btu's) was Tommy's air conditioner?
He didn't say, but, judging by its size and appearance most likely a 5k or 6k btu.
Man do I understand the “ thinking thinking thinking “ 😂
Lol. Lots of sleepless nights.
Did I miss the part where he showed his toilet?
We did not show it on video, we did talk about him using a portable dry toilet.
👍👍👍❤❤❤
